I tried hard to like old Dr. Stephen Tyring, but from…read morethe poorly run offices (more than one) to the unprofessional office/behind the counter staff; in all sincerity, and his hands-off bedside manner... I CANNOT! This all started in his Pearland office before I recently learned he'd sold the practice to another physician--along with our medical records--and I know this to be the case because after finally tracking him down to the Webster/Houston locations for my 6-month follow up visit, the rude representative at the Houston location advised that it had been sold, only after being told that the staff at the former Pearland office had contacted me. When I first visited Dr. Tyring in June '25 at the Pearland office, as others have already pointed out, he entered the room, was standoffish--talked from a few feet away, and didn't even use the Wood's lamp (as pointed out by Methodist's clinic, who said at the very least, he should have. I had to go to Methodist's clinic one week after seeing him because what he prescribed--Dupixent--just wasn't working!), just eyeballed it and then said... DUPIXENT, which in my opinion was very extreme to be the 'go to' treatment, as opposed to FIRST TRYING creams, salves, or lotions--which I absolutely hated (still does). During my last visit at the Pearland office in December '25, it started with them not opening on time, which was a chronic issue at that office... patients beating the staff and doctor to the office, and, I was told that they'd upgraded their system but I'd have to fill out another round of ridiculous paperwork because the old system couldn't transfer any previous information (why the hell not, and why should patients be inconvenienced???!!!), and, when they converted to the automated prescription service (not their own staff calling in prescriptions), it cost me additional funds because they couldn't comprehend that CVS/BCBS requires a 90-day subscription which costs $0, as opposed to one for 30 days--which they then charge $5 for and while some may see it as minor, any additional unnecessary cost to patients is ridiculous! After finally tracking Dr. Tyring down about 2 weeks ago, the rude office rep attempted to trivialize my complaints that they'd moved WITHOUT informing patients who were looking for them, as well as about having been randomly contacted by someone from the Pearland office had been sold too, as well as having been told that ONCE AGAIN, NEW/MORE PAPERWORK HAD TO BE COMPLETED SINCE IT COULD NOT BE TRANSFERRED (WHY???), and I asked about what was going on with our previous data... who was in control of it. All of these things irritated the receptionist, who had no concept or concern for what I, as a patient was communicating and needed clarity about, but she was incapable of providing any salable, credible, or believable answers. In any event, I made the new appointment for 06/17/26/today, and when I arrived early (because I needed to fill out paperwork AGAIN, plus, there were torrential downpours). After finally completing it, she told me that I had a $192.00 co-pay, WHEN WITH MY INSURANCE (BCBS), THERE IS NO SUCH CO-PAY, UNLESS YOU'RE HAVING EXTRA SERVICES PERFORMED LIKE NEEDING SOMETHING SURGICALLY REMOVED OR XRAYS, WHICH NONE OF THIS APPLIED. When questioned about why the high co-pay when all of my co-pays for Dr. Tyring had only been $10 previous, and why no prior phone call to advise, all the rude receptionist could say was "This is what your insurance company said." She was unable to explain, and didn't try to break down the cost, which was preposterous, as I'd just seen a different type of SPECIALIST the day before, and about 2 weeks ago, where the co-pay was......$10!!!!! I also asked if Dr. Tyring was still in network (this is the only thing I could think of that may have elevated the cost). Thus, it should not have been any different seeing Dr. Tyring, a dermatologist/specialist. The conversation devolved from there because the receptionist could not stand being question profusely, when I asked if an office manager was present, someone other than her--and she replied no, and top it off, a customer in the lobby decided to but in, but another male employee came from the back to accost or as an attempt to admonish me, which I did not appreciate that he only heard my voice, but not the rude receptionist, or the other patient in the lobby who thought she'd come to the defense of the receptionist, without having any knowledge or background information. I pointed this out to the male employee too, who thought he could offer me a bottle of water to appease me. I attempted to inform him that something was amiss because a visit to Dr. Tyring should not cost $192, but... no one seemed to want to rectify or double-check this, especially the rude receptionist. I've called dozens of times, left messages and emails and have received no return calls or emails, and when my prescription was finally called in, it was for the wrong medication which is NOT covered under medical insurance. I still have been unable to get my original medication refilled. It's simply incompetence on the part of the staff. I no longer recommend this dermatology clinic!

Lash extensions never looked right on me- lash lifts are the way to go! You can't see my lashes without a lash lift- they are light and point straight down normally. I have to use an eyelash curler if I don't get a lash lift, but it never lasts by the end of the day and I end up looking tired with no lashes visible. Here are some pictures showing my 3-week old lash lift - my everyday look with eyeshadow only, (no mascara) and after a very light swipe of brown mascara. I love how fast and easy it is to get ready in the morning without spending a lot of time curling my lashes, adding mascara and doing my brows. Kashia also did my eyebrow microblading (she corrected the previous work done by another person who had turned my brows pinkish). I have light brows which are harder to do right than dark brows, so I had done my research before coming here. I'm super happy with how they turned out- I add a bit of brow pomade sometimes and good to go! I've also gotten chemical peels and facials here, and the occasional botox - Rosie is fantastic at using a minimal amount to achieve the natural look I'm always going for. I haven't gotten it done in 6 months and I feel like it still looks good. I recommend this spa to my friends and anyone who asks, and I receive a lot of compliments. I never look overdone, just natural - and I'll add that I'm 50 so I love that I can come to this special spot and count on leaving refreshed and looking naturally rejuvenated - it's all me, just better!

Fast forward to the end of my treatments. I asked for IPL on my lips to lighten them. I was charged $50 for approximately 8-10 snaps on the machine. The technician recommended I use the IPL on some veins showing around my jaw area. I said why not. Well whatever setting she had the machine on was way too high and it burned my sign. I skipped the next appointment due to the burns and me wanting my face to heel. I rescheduled my final appointment and explained and showed them burned areas, asked for ways to remove the burns. I got my final facial was given some cream that would help the burns and was sent on my way. I ended up moving to California, the first thing my mother said when she saw me was what happened to your face? It looked liked someone beat you up! I contacted the spa and explained that months later these burns were still a problem. They apologized for me still having an issue and asked that I send photos. I sent the photos and was told I need a IV peel, which is a $400 procedure. I've changed my skin care regime, used all kinds of creams, and scrapping procedures to get my face back to the way it was. I've spent more money trying to get rid of the scarring than I did on the facial package I originally signed up for. What really makes me mad is that they knew my face was damaged before I left the spa, they are the experts, and instead of acknowledging the problem and doing everything to fix it. They have now decided to ignore my emails. As I told them at this point I will need to take them to small claims court. Go at your own risk but once they get your money they could careless about you.

Unprofessional, Bad Customer Services!…read more The office ran a promotion in July in which if purchased SkinMedica TNS Advanced+ Serum they would give Skinmedica Illuminize Peel at no additional cost. I contacted them on Instagram to ask for more details whether I had to do the treatment in the month of July to get the deal or if I could schedule at a later date. They replied that I could do the treatment at my convenience, with no date restrictions. On September 1st, 2020, I called to schedule an appointment and confirmed with them whether there would be any extra charges for the treatment and I was reiterated that there was no extra cost since it was part of the July promotion. However, on the day of my appointment (September 29th) they said I had to pay for the treatment when I checked in as I didn't do it in July and the promotion funds were exhausted in July. If I was informed that I had to schedule and use the promotio treatment on the month of July, I would not had purchased the product since I was not able to schedule in July. I explicitly asked and made decisions based on what their employees informed me. I have the chat logs as evidence. They still put the blame on me for not using the promotion on July, and their own employees, all the marketing, esthetician and scheduling, for being misinformed. I would not recommend this doctor's office because they engaged in potentially false advertisement campaigns. Even though I had evidence of what their employees told me, they refused to honor the promotion and their words. Whether it is an internal communication issue or shameful false advertisement tactics, I will not be coming back here!
