DISHONEST. Yesterday, I received a facial treatment here as a gift and I was looking forward to the experience. Initially, I enjoyed it and Mindy was great with my treatment. However, when it came to checking out, they offered me a hydrating moisturizer and I said okay. They ended up giving me a 0.34 oz bottle and charged me $108. I initially thought wow that's expensive for a small bottle but wondered maybe it would really help me and I even tipped them. This was my first time getting a facial treatment. Afterwards, when I read my receipt on the way home I saw they fucked me over and charged me for a 1.7 oz bottle instead of the tiny bottle they gave me. I've had a lip issue for couple of years that no Dr/specialist could figure out or recommend a solution for except for surgery. I went that route with my lower lip but couldn't imagine doing it again. Surgery only made my lip disappear. In desperation, I called Glow to inquire about their Liplase Laser. Charlotte listened to my long story patiently and cared to understand the issue. I initially went in for a little botox but, while there, asked Hilary about some discoloration on my face. Long story short, I was in an accident February 2016 where my face met pavement. The result: a ton of stitches in my forehead and some lasting discoloration on my face from skidding. (PSA: put your cell phones down and pay attention where you're walking). Hilary thought to try a technique similar to tattoo removal. Here are my results after one treatment. Please ignore my eyebrows, they are only a reflection of my own neglect. I seriously couldn't be happier! I no longer "have" to wear makeup to attempt to cover it. No longer are strangers telling me I "have makeup smudged" or asking me if I had a facial tattoo (seriously, who does that?). However, I met with Janel and she examined my skin and recommended to get a peel first and then follow up with the hyrda-facial. Janel is very nice and professional. I am originally from Las Vegas and wanted to try out a Botox Dr here in Houston and after looking on Yelp, I found this place and decided to go with them due to the high reviews. Staff: Although I was 10 minutes late, they treated me as if I was not late and the receptionist was very friendly. She gave me about 4 pages to fill out, to be honest I absolutely hate paperwork. I believe that offices like these should ask you these questions over the phone and help you fill them out and when you come in to the office, you review the forms and just sign and print your name on them. That would be an amazing add on service that would make everyone extremely happy I believe. We all hate filling out paperwork. Dr: Dr Amy Woehermann was super friendly and welcoming. She also is a great looking doctor, not that her looks help the service but it definitely provides a feeling of comfort that she cares about her aesthetic look putting more trust for me personally. While talking with her during the consult, I asked her about her previous job, she was an Emergency Dr which also is awesome. She injected so gracefully and made it as comfortable as possible. The injection process took about 15 minutes and I was out of there! Results: I have yet to see my results. She used 25 units for my middle crease of my eye brows and forehead. I thought that was super low dose but we will see. She wanted to use a moderate amount since I am her first time patient. I will be updating my review after the results kick in. It was just a few pinches of pain, nothing intolerable. Overall Experience: I thought that the whole experience was wonderful, fast and super inexpensive. I used their online voucher so only paid $25 on top of buying the $175 voucher that was worth $300. If i receive the expected results, I am buying that voucher again and seeing her in 3/6 months again. Thanks Dr and staff! You guys rock! Update: I loved the work that the Dr did. This was my very first time getting Botox and I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. They were running a bit behind so I didn't get into my appointment until 15 minutes after it was supposed to start, but Angie was so kind and helpful. I knew I wanted to start with some Botox on my forehead, but was considering doing filler in my cheeks or jaw as well to slim down my face. Angie answered all of my questions and was super informative in explaining the procedure and how each would effect my face. I've been seeing Dr Amy and Emily for 2+ years and they are so awesome that despite living in the burbs I'll still drive through Houston traffic to see them. What I like about Glow is that they care about doing things right and not skipping any steps. Hilary is great; she has good taste, is meticulous (she'll draw on my cheek with a white marker before injecting or zapping), values training, and is helpful when planning out my needs vs my budget. I just had a VIPeel precision plus with Maddie for some stubborn melasma. She very gently and thoroughly washed my face twice, inspected her work closely at every step, and explained everything I needed to do at home short-term and long-term. I went in with low expectations but I think the result was noticeably better. My husband was so impressed that he asked me to book one for him too, lol. I'm crazy about these ladies!!! First off, I found Glow through their glowing (forgive the pun) reviews here on Yelp. I came to see them for laser hair removal. Their location is SUPER convenient for me and the spa itself is really lovely. I walked in and felt very welcome and the staff is sweet and funny. I think that's really important because if you're going to get "work done" you might be feeling a little fragile or shy and to have kind people greeting you is a big bonus. (I just bust in and make friends, but not everyone is a goofy extrovert like me.) Ashlee handled my procedure and you couldn't ask for a more sweet or gentle person. She handled my face very delicately and was always careful to ask if I was doing okay, needed a break, etc. I DEFINITELY didn't need a break because the laser system they use is incredible!! I've had laser hair removal before and nothing has come close to the Clear + Brilliant Pélo laser. (Read about it on their website!) I am officially a fan. I can't even really say there was pain, the "worst" parts were just like someone flicking a rubber band on my skin, but not once was I actually uncomfortable, especially with the cool air blowing on my face. I bought six sessions today (for the price of THREE) and I'm excited to go back for my next session! Glow has me hooked and I know they're going to get me in for more than just hair removal. I have been visiting Glow for the past couple of months in preparation for my wedding day. I've never had any kind of facial so walking in I was completely new so I decided to have a consultation. I met with Ashlee who spent a good amount of time with me explaining everything she thought would be best for my skin after using the high tech camera. I've been back three times now, twice with Ashlee for a chemical peel and my first Clear and Brilliant laser session.
