I have been a client of Skin Renew for almost a year and I have had nothing but positive results with all of the services I have tried, including iLipo, microneedling, eyelash extensions and Venus Freeze skin tightening. Bri usually does all of my body and skin services and she is fantastic - very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I just got my first set of eyelash extensions from Jessie and they have been fantastic. I've received many compliments on them and I will definitely continue to see Jessie for refills. As full disclosure, I started going to Skin Renew through a partnership for the radio station I work for, but even when that partnership was on hiatus, I continued to go back to Skin Renew as a private, paying customer because I was truly satisfied with the service and the results I was getting from their various treatments. I have sent several friends to see them and I would continue to do so because I love the staff, I love the services and I especially love the results I have seen. One thing to note is that they are under new ownership since mid-2014, so a lot of the older reviews pertain to the old management and staff. I actually went to Skin Renew years ago and was not happy with the service, but since going to see them with the new staff and new ownership, the difference has been night and day. Talk about zero knowledge about customer service. The employees here are completely snobby and they seem to have forgotten that I was the paying customer not the other way around. The front desk lady had attitude. I felt completely uncomfortable in their waiting area. There is very little privacy and nobody is friendly. read more

My first visit they were very warm and welcoming, but, after they had my paperwork/financial commitment, they spent 10-15 minutes trying to get me to purchase additional services. As soon as I made it clear that I would commit to nothing until I saw results from this treatment, they immediately lost all interest--in fact, on my last visit, I was not acknowledged at all, and sat in the room until twenty minutes past my appointment time before being acknowledged, with no apology. And this wouldn't be a big deal if their actual services were actually good. They weren't. I was getting laser, and my first session showed no results (and, yes, I have had successful laser hair removal before). When I arrived for my second treatment, I told them that I had zero results. The woman did not care/acknowledge my comment at all. She turned away and ignored me and preceded with my treatment. My second treatment also showed no results. For my third treatment, I had a different technician than during the first two. When I made the same complaint to her, she talked to me, and changed the laser setting and also lasered a fuller area than the first two treatments. I am not sure if that is because this technician was competent, and the first one was not, or if it was because this is the last treatment I had prepayed for. Immediately after we finished, she immediately began pressuring me to purchase additional treatments. Again, when I pointed out my first two treatments showed no results, so I wasn't sure why I would continue with hem, she turned around and stopped acknowledging me. I gave one star for the second technician wish I knew her name!), but no stars for the rest--I have been to real laser clinics before, and would not recommend this one, even if you get offered a great deal. They felt pretty shady overall, the treatments did not work, and they spent wayyy too much time trying to upsell me on products. read more

I went to Skin Renew using a Groupon I had for six laser hair removals on the bikini line (I'm a girl, despite my name). I had to go two extra times, but it still didn't remove all the hair. It was only $99, so I wasn't too upset about it. But the worse thing to me was how uncomfortable I felt when the manager lady was belittling and bossing the girls at the front desk. One time the manager shouted at a girl who was having a bit of trouble helping someone on the phone, "Move over! Let me take care of this!" and grabbed the phone out of her hand like she was an idiot or something. So mean - and awkward for me since I was standing right in front of them. She was mean to her employees on at least two other occasions. The front desk girls seemed nice and I felt sorry for them. read more

I purchased 6 laser hair removal sessions (through Groupon). First visit was more of a hard sell to purchase more than to provide the service I already paid for. Results were not promising for initial visits. New clinician (Mary Katherine?) was more effective and addressed the lack of results immediately. After 6 visits, not completely hair free. Many clinics offer 1-2 maintenance visits to ensure satisfaction. If you are a Groupon customer, they don't apply here. I understand using Groupon to drive new business, but customer satisfaction and referrals are what really drive business and they won't get that from me. Lesson to them- if you are going to use Groupon for new clients- treat them like any other client. read more

Kristin was the only one who was friendly and sadly she is gone. I bought the 6 bikini area (349.00)and 6 under arm (99.00)laser hair removal packages, it did work but not 100% I was told I needed more treatments for it to work completely -i agreed with that so I went to purchase more and the price of the underarm went from 99.00 to 420.00 WHAT? @&*&(^%!!! I agree with SUZ G once I paid they were done with the pleasantries. Also I had the spider viein therepy done and I do not see any difference, Heather said it would completely go away in 3 treatments (mine were not bad) and after I had the 3 15 min treatments there was no change :( I would go back for more lazer hair treatments BUT they are crazy raising the price from 99 to 420 I will find another place to go sad this was a great location for me. Very professional, clean and welcoming. I really appreciate Kristen whom I have seen for my last 4 procedures. There are somethings that can be very awkward to have done....however with an accommodating professional even the "most uncomfortable" procedures can be relaxing. Tammy and Heather are great too. Skin Renew responded with an explanation of what a Blu Peel is...but funny they didn't mention it was what THEY recommended for me to do after the Blu Peel that messed the WHOLE effects from the Blu Peel up. I have contacted this place 4 times to schedule an appointment, purchased via Groupon and they still have not responded to me. FYI - there is an online appt request form which is what I used - if they don't respond to that, they probably shouldn't have it on their website. Additionally, there is ONLY ONE DAY OF THE WEEK WORKING PEOPLE CAN MAKE APPOINTMENTS. They are open M-F and only after 5pm on Thursdays. That makes no sense. Giving similar feedback to Groupon and won't be purchasing another with this place. read more

I had my first visit through Groupon yesterday afternoon. I had a chemical peel. I have a couple places on my face that I am slightly concerned about. However the overall experience was good. I felt the customer service was top notch. I am going back this morning for a Botox consultation and possibly Botox treatment. I would recommend these services to me friends. I originally learned of Skin Renew through Groupon. I purchased a laser hair removal package. THe initial sign up was painless enough, but I immediately felt uncomfortable while going through the information. Firstly, the package provided is not enough to remove hair. I found out my purchase would not remove hair and would have to pay additionally for more treatments. My instructions were a poorly-copied page from 2002 (10 years ago, eeks!). As I listened to the information provided, I pointed out that the guidelines she just repeated were in direct conflict with the info on the paper. She marked it out with a pen and said it was wrong. Many of my friends (with darker, coarser hair than mine) told me what to expect when getting the removal done. It would be slightly painful and I would need four or five treatments. My treatments, however, were pain-free. Great, right? No. I habitally pointed out that there were no effects from the treatment. The fourth time and sixth visits I made, the laser was effective and the treatment actually caused discomfort. I saw some progress. My guess is that the group is using the laser on its lowest setting to force people to buy more treatments; then as they get to the end, they up it so they can say there was progress. I made two calls over the course of two weeks and stopped by (only to be told the necessary person to help me was not in). I never even was able to say I wasn't pleased with the treatment because the calls were never returned. Seriously bummed to have paid so much for absolutely nothing! read more

I went to Skin Renew today for the second visit and am more and more impressed with each visit. I had a peel done that was an upgrade from my Spa Buzz package. It was done professional, did not hurt and will hopefully deliver all that it is suppose to. I have had really good experiences thus far and will continue to use Skin Renew for my skin/face. All employees are friendly and helpful. Did not wait long and was always greeted when walking in the door. read more

These people are UNETHICAL SHADY CROOKS! I went to Skin Renew in February 2012 for information regarding vein therapy. I dealt directly with the manager, Heather. She explained that I had only 2 options to purchase -three 15 min sessions or three 30 min sessions. I was told that I needed the thirty min session package (of course because they are more expensive). The package was $995 up front- complete with a pair of compression hose that I was told was mandatory purchase (you don't need them for laser). After the first session there was absolutely no evidence that I had even had anything done. When I confronted Skin Renew they brushed me off and told me that was normal and I needed to wait a couple of more weeks to see results. Weeks went by and still no result. They began to ignore my calls. I got a second AND a third professional opinion about the work Skin Renew had done on me and both professionals agreed that they were ineffective and incompetent. I asked for my money back on unused treatments since they were ineffective. They continued to stall for over 2 months, blowing me off for various reasons but the main one was Heather was unable to get an answer from her boss (owner) Jimmie Fox. Ironically at the 62 day mark I was finally told they would not be refunding my money because they do not refund packages. However a "package" is the only way they sell vein therapy....hmmmmm. It is ironic that after 62 days they give a final decision because a person only has 60 days to dispute a bank/Visa transaction. I went directly to the bank and even though I was two days past the dispute period my bank allowed me to dispute given the circumstance that Skin Renew deliberately stalled. This has been a NIGHTMARE! I still have not got the situation resolved because Skin Renew keeps fighting the bank to refund my money. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT go to these people! They are UNPROFESSIONAL, UNETHICAL, and INCOMPETENT!!!! read more

Disaster. They have a revolving door of technicians. Some completely incompetent who did more damage with a laser than good. No receptionist, so typically no answer on the phone. They constantly reschedule appointments because of their staffing issues. No Groupon or special offer is worth this. If they weren't close to my office, I wouldn't have gone. I suspect any favorable reviews are originating from Skin Renew itself. I concur with every negative review I've found! Rude, snobbish, and inept, owner and workers see only $$$. Save yourself money, frustration, stress, and hard feelings and move on to your next option. Considering the competition, and DO consider other clinics, I can only assume they've been in business 5 years now because people don't know any better, and new clients are being up-sold before they know what hits them. Much better people, prices, and places are aplenty. I stress a quote from another reviewer..."Don't walk, RUN!" ...also, Don't call from your hospital bed the morning of your follow-up appointment to reschedule without expecting to pay a "missed appointment fee." I had to say something because the only 'positive' review seems to be someone on the inside. Groupon or Sharing Spree customers need to be aware that they may only be trying to get people in to pay the full price for later services as add-ons and not giving full services to those with a discount...they already made their money on us perhaps. read more

I have had an amazing experience at Skin Renew in Franklin, Tn. As an experienced esthetician, I am extra picky about the service and treatment I choose to pay for. Heather Hull has been nothing short of wonderful to me! I purchased a Venus Freeze package for my after-baby tummy, and have been very happy with my results so far- and I'm not even finished! Heather and the staff were honest about the results I could expect and I never felt pressured to purchase anything. She is accommodating to my comfort during treatment, and is always so friendly. I have never had to wait more than 2 minutes for my appointment to start once walking in....which is a huge deal to me and my schedule. I look forward to coming back each week, and I will be looking to her and Skin Renew for any future services I may want/need. You will not be disappointed by choosing them (and especially Heather!!) to take care of your skin care needs!!! read more

DO NOT GO TO SKIN RENEW! They truly have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. When I walked in for my appointment there were two very upset women in front of me. They had been waiting 45 minutes and were ready to walk out. The girl at the front NEVER apologized and gave a smart a** smirk while making excuses. After waiting 15 minutes, a woman walked in and waited with us. About 5 minutes later, Carla (who i have been waiting on) opened the door and called her name. I immediately expressed my frustration and was told her appt wouldn't be long and that she had forgot to put my chart up. The part that really ticks me off is that she ran back there right away, I know before there had been any work taken place, and they told me to wait! NO THANKS, I WILL TAKEN MY MONEY ELSEWHERE! It would be nice to know how far behind they are when you sign so i have the opption to reschedule and receive a sincere apology with a pleasant smile. Holy Crap! I bought six laser hair removal sessions through Groupon and while my tech Kristen was fabulous the rest of the clinic needs a serious lesson in customer service. I swear the front desk girl is brain dead. When calling to reschedule an appointment I had to tell her SIX times that I could not make the date she kept on bringing up this certain date over and over again. While the whole time she had an attitude like I was being unreasonable. Also on my second visit my original tech (not Kristen) turned up the laser too high and my lip was swollen for 24 hours. After 5/6 treatments the hair is lighter and livable but is by no means totally gone. For $99 I think they did the bare minimum...no way on earth I would go back and pay full price for anything. read more

This business is a scam. My daughter and I used this facility for monthly light chemical peels. I was offered "deal packages" during the Christmas season. Once I paid for the services, the business closed, leaving me with over 1,000 dollars in credit. Then no one would answer the phone or return my calls. Now the business has reopened under "new management." When I called to try to recoup my losses, the new owner said that she was sorry but that I was just out if luck. I would advise everyone in the Brentwood area to avoid this business completely. read more

Like TR, I purchased 6 laser hair treatments for Groupon. Prior to purchasing and prior to my first visit, I did not read the yelp reviews. I am reading them now and am shocked. The staff was very friendly on the first visit and on subsequent visits. My sister is an esthetician in another state and I am very familiar with skin care services. The staff here was completely knowledgeable and professional. In terms of "hard sell" to get me to buy additional products/services, they only talked to me about those products and those services that I expressed an interest in. There was no hard sell to anything. I am very discriminating and have extremely high expectations and I would recommend Skin Renew to friends and family and I plan on continuing to be a customer for any service they provide that I want or need.. read more

I keep seeing Skin Renew on Groupon and Living Social. This must be the only way they can get customers, because of their terrible reputation. I purchased a laser hair removal package about a year and a half ago, and had plenty of bad experiences. There is a lot of staff turn-over. Guess no one wants to work there! It was super annoying to always have someone different seeing and touching my private areas! I didn't notice much reduction in hair loss either. They wanted me to buy another package of 6 treatments! The staff is very pushy...SELL, SELL, SELL! One time, when I came out from my treatment there was this big guy standing outside of a different treatment room, like listening to what was going on in there! That's private! I saw him during another visit, maybe he's a manager? I'm not sure, but he was really creepy! Save your money people and STAY AWAY! read more
