Of course, I had a Groupon! Lol. I have been a very bad girl for growing up in LA and neglected to wear sunscreen all of those years. As I am mah-touring into a lady, I have noticed my sun kissed freckles are making babies and are not as cute any more. Sigh. So, I decided to get them lasered off with the IPL photofacial. She set clear expectations beforehand, checked in with me during my services, and gave me ice packs for the deduce home. I treated myself to a facial at Skin RN last week. I have been looking for day spa/med spa for some time. I wanted the option of a basic facial as well as processes such as photo facials (I grew up in FL, and know that I will have to conquer my sun damage one day.) I used to work in a very high-end spa, and feel like my standards are hard to meet. After finding Skin RN on Yelp, with all positive reviews, and then reading over their menu of service options, I decided to go ahead and book a facial. Christy was my aesthetician and was so pleasant and knowledgable. She listened to my concerns and then made some service suggestions. She was not one bit pushy, but made helped me understand some options that I would truly benefit from. My facial was so relaxing and I felt beautiful and refreshed afterwards. I know that I should have been quieter during the process, but Christy was just great to talk to. Aside from doing a thorough job with my facial and making some at-home care suggestions, she was just a nice person. I adore this spot to get B12 shots. I have a neurologist health issue and learned years ago what a difference these make in my daily health. However, I am not the best shot giver (to myself) and really disliked going into medical clinics just to get this shot. Skin RN to the rescue! I started going to Skin Rn for botox after a friend suggested I go (I have never bruised here) and am now a going monthly with the ultimate goal of removing redness and brown spots on my face and neck. I am 37 and haven't had clear skin in 20+ years. I can't believe the difference 6 months of laser rejuvenation and the mini trio package have made. Where do I begin? I LOVE this place! I have followed my aesthetician, Johanna, to some local spas and Skin RN is the best fit for her and her talent! Not only is she amazing and knowledgable on skincare and products, she gives the BEST facial you will ever have!!! She also has given me "sleek brows", which are a temporary eyebrow treatment that allowed me not to have to fill in my eyebrows for a couple weeks.( She also does micro-blading, which I will be trying soon! It lasts 12-18 months!!) I also see Heather for my tattoo laser removal. Before visiting her, I had a really bad experience somewhere else with my laser removal. Heather knew exactly what they used(the wrong type of laser treatment) and why it caused my arm to look worse, and within three visits my arm is almost completely healed! She is very sweet and I'm so grateful to have found her! All the girls who work here are very kind and helpful as well. I went in there last week with my mom that wanted to get a bunch of stuff done ...fillers/Botox ..anyway my mom ended up getting a little nervous and not getting anything injected but I DID get Botox only few units around my eyes and I love it, I could tell the difference right away and how three days later my crows feet area is absolutely wrinkle free... Extremely disappointed in SkinRN. I went for an initial consult for tattoo removal and they were very helpful at first. I am very thorough when selecting medical treatment, and since tattoo removal is a serious medical procedure involving many treatments with potential for permanent negative affects on your skin, I asked many questions about the procedure, possible side affects, what the technician's credentials were, etc. The technician answered all questions, and I was very satisfied with her competence and courtesy. So I booked an appointment for about 6 weeks later. Fast forward to the day before my appointment. The owner Theresa called me and said she was canceling my appointment and did not want my business. I was dumbfounded. Why? She said the technician (Heather) and the front desk clerk (Cathy) felt uncomfortable with all of my questions (6 weeks ago!) and "under no circumstances would they treat me". The owner said she had "dealt with people that were like me" and she didn't want to treat me. I am a working professional. I found this ironic since it was their very high level of initial professionalism that showed me they were the type of medical professionals I wanted to treat me. Any professional medical treatment facility should have absolutely no problem answering questions about such an important procedures...one where there is no turning back after you begin the tattoo removal. It seemed they were afraid of me for some reason because I asked in-depth questions about their treatment plan and credentials. Also, to wait 6 weeks until the day before the appointment when I had arranged my schedule, and then cancel, was absolutely unprofessional. I will also point out that their business license hanging at their front desk had expired. Any reputable medical facility would not allow that to happen. I highly discourage anybody from going to SkinRN. Do you really want to have a medical procedure done on you by people that have a problem with a patient asking direct questions about treatment and credentials? read more
