I would give it a negative 10. I have been going to med spas for over 20 years. This place has terrific laser treatments. HOWEVER, BEWARE! They will get you in the door with a special discounted price for a laser treatment. If you do not tip for the laser procedure at checkout, they will charge you a new inflated price and not tell you by working in a tip (after hassling you to tip). They do not give you the receipt unless you ask. BEWARE! When you discover the charge, they insult you and refuse future treatments for calling them out! read more

SkinSpaMED is such a gem! I've been going here off and on since 2011. Since I moved to Prosper 7 years ago, I've had to frequent places closer to me, but none of them can compare. So after being disappointed with a facial in Frisco and a skin treatment in Plano, I've decided that I'll just have to squeeze in the time (from work + three kids) to just drive a round trip of 1.5 hours to receive all my facial services here. SkinSpaMED is just that good! I was so happy to see that both receptionists, Angela and Brandon, plus several estheticians still here. That says so much about this business! Brandon booked me for my double appointments of microdermabrasion and IPL with Krystal. KRYSTAL IS EXCEPTIONAL!!! My skin was dull, dry, flaky, and acne ridden when I arrived, but I'm telling you, in less than an hour Krystal transformed my lackluster skin to supple, dewy, and RADIANT! This is the day after and I STILL keep checking out my reflection every chance I get to just marvel at how bright my complexion looks! I am SO PLEASED! What I left with was scars, bleeding out of every pore in my face, face swollen so bad I could see my cheeks & my forehead when I looked up or down. I had to call into work for week & I was hourly then. This company did nothing to treat my face afterwards, no cream, no empathy, nothing. Now you are probably wondering why now a review. Its established and been around many years with little turn over , I've been a frequent customer about 7 yrs I've never had a bad experience with anyone and most of the people from the office staff to the aestheticians have been here 10 + yrs . Great place. Purchased a Groupon and decided to pamper myself a bit and visited this place. It was raining like you wouldn't believe and not a good day but, what the heck, I wasn't going to wash away. So off I went. It was my first visit so I arrived early and completed the necessary forms. I was done with 5 minutes to spare. Then I waited and waited. They have a sign that says please be on time so you can get your full treatment but nothing about the staff making you wait. Anyway, after 15 minutes, I was finally called for my session. Finally! Stormy was the person who I had and she was great. During the session, she told me about a membership they have where you can get a discount on services based on what membership you select. On my way out, I made sure I got the materials for the membership since I did have a good experience. They have a nice long list of different services and you have a choice of 3-, 6-, or 12-month membership and treatment selections. It was well worth the Groupon I paid for and will most probably go back. read more

The SmartXide laser resurfacing advertised is actually Dot Laser. Why this information is not fully disclosed in Groupon is odd. While I did have some improvement, I expected a deeper treatment. This place literally took years off my face after having the Smartxide DOT laser procedure at the Colleyville location. From scheduling my appt with Shantel, to having my procedure done by Jodi, I received top notch service! Shantel was so sweet and full of positive energy. Jodi will immediately give you skin envy. Her skin is absolutely flawless and you immediately know you're in good hands. She was an expert at every question I asked and also gave me tips on maintaining healthy skin. I had spent my teens and majority of my 20's baking in the sun and tanning beds. I'm naturally freckled and fair skinned, so I was pretty much forcing my skin to be any color besides pale. I stayed out of the sun for 6 years and by the time 32 rolled around, I had blotchy brown sun spots and adult acne. I would constantly spray tan to conceal my awful skin. I had wanted to have the DOT laser procedure for the past few years, but finally made the decision and had it done this week. I'm on day 5 after my laser and I cannot believe the results so far. I'm completely blown away and wish I wouldn't have waited so long. Post treatment instructions were thorough. Tips I will give to make the healing process less painful and faster: buy the kit from them that they recommend!! The calming serum has been a life saver! Sleep upright to help with swelling the first couple of nights. The first couple of nights were uncomfortable, third and fourth day were itchy. Big improvements were seen on day 5. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat after achieving the results thus far! read more

I came with a LivingSocial deal for a Triniti Laser Series. The person who did my treatment didn't even introduce herself to me, so I'm not sure what her name was. She did not do any type of consultation except to ask if I've ever had laser treatments before (which I have not except for laser hair removal on my body). I was in and out of the office within half an hour. I'm not sure how long these treatments typically last, but it seemed quite fast. I didn't particularly like my aesthetician because she was not friendly. She did not ask how I was doing even though the treatment was quite uncomfortable at certain points. read more

I purchased a special through DFW Alist and was excited to get in to Skin Spa. This is more of a medical office than Spa, so t's not exactly warm, soothing or inviting. I arrived and while I was filling out my paperwork,I could hear the ownerbegin talking in the back (her voice carries) and she came out talking about Herpes and other skin infections to her colleagues and I got really uncomfortable immediately. I know these are real issues, but I don't want to talk about it in the waiting room, hearing descriptions while I'm about to be treated for the first time. She didn't acknowledge me at all, but the other two staff members did. The gal at the desk was very professional. The male working there was kind of goofy, and joked like he was throwing a water bottle at me?!? After seeing the owner on the video and her picture on the website, I would have appreicated a hello or 'how was your service?" etc.... For my services I got a skin tightening laser, laser for wrinkles and a photo facial. The photo facial is a bit painful, but I know I will have results because my spots are already darker and will slough off. I read that they offer a monthly membership, but I was not told anything about it. I am considering getting one at FaceLogic or another spa in town, so I might check those out....even though they do not offer all of the laser treatments, I am looking for a true SPA feeling and something a bit more comforting and professional. read more

I was referred to SkinSpaMed by a friend over 3 years ago. After my first treatment, I decided to join as a member. When I joined, my primary goal was the laser hair removal treatments. It's the greatest feeling in the world to wake up without stubble! I've completed all of those treatments and have tried almost all of the other treatments they offer. I have a friend in Chicago who just had laser surgery done on one area last week and paid $300, as opposed to the $67.50 I pay for one area. I love being able to pamper myself with different treatments each and every month that, if I was going to any other med spa, would be five times as much in price. It's an incredible value and I look forward to going every month! I've had many PhotoFacial & Microdermabrasion treatments, laser hair removal on my entire body, facials, cellulite treatments, Triniti Laser, Venus Freeze, massages, the Hydration Station (Colleyville location), party lashes, and the Mystic Tan, etc. Marie has personally performed Botox and Dypsort injections on me, also. I love the vibration object she uses that helps take the bite out of the injection process. I've dealt with every single staff member at the SkinSpaMed Dallas location and a few at the Colleyville location and I've had nothing but great experiences. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I feel extremely comfortable with having any of the staff members perform the different treatments as they are all top-notch! Both locations are clean and nicely decorated. The Dallas location is centrally-located (only 5 minutes from my home) and I like that I can park in front and walk right in....I don't have to park in a parking garage, get on an elevator or walk into a mall. It's easily accessible. Being a member, I am able to get a 20% discount on all of the products they carry, including the Clarisonic Pro, which I was able to purchase for less than i would have paid anywhere else. Overall, my experiences at SkinSpaMed have been nothing but amazing! I've been able to enjoy many more treatments than I would have ever been able to get otherwise and for a greatly discounted price! This was my 4th time visiting the spa and I could firmly say it's the best in Dallas by far! Marie, the lady that does my fillers, is amazing at what she does. Not only does she know what she's doing but she also knows what looks good and what fits your face so that it looks natural. Just because you know how to inject fillers doesn't mean that you're good at it. It's basically an art form and Marie made me beautiful. I came in from a Groupon, and have had previously 80% bad experiences from the places I've found on Groupon. SkinSpaMED was not in that 80%. This place is a GAME CHANGER. I got a Triniti done and could not believe my results after one treatment. My skin was tight and glowing. I have been working on my skin with different creams, microneedling, etc and felt like I threw so much money away last year with things that did not work for me. I loved my experience so much here, I signed up to do some CO2 treatments and more Triniti. If I wasn't moving, I would get a 2-year membership. I intend to fly back to continue my treatment here. If you aren't going here for your skin and hair then you are in the wrong place and guaranteed to be overpaying! Brandon and Angela are the greatest office manager slash receptionists. I have never had an issue with my appointment and I have been a "member" for several years. They set the mood for the spa and it is not gloomy with spa music, instead it's fun and upbeat. They treat you like a friend, not a piggy bank! I've had every therapist over these several years. Brandy, Melissa, and Stormy are all supreme. They tell you the truth and know what to do to help your particular type of skin. I cannot walk twenty feet these days without someone asking me about my skin and I'm 49! Christina is the hair person and she is the most knowledgeable beauty expert I have ever met. She knows every make-up line, every beauty secret you can imagine She also is an expert at hair extensions. She's been doing them for 14 years and is very honest about what works for who. I highly recommend her. Last but certainly not least is the owner, Marie. She is not only beautiful on the outside, she is just as pretty on the inside.
