This is my third visit to Destiny Day Spa in Allen, Texas. I am not one to "pamper" myself; however, that is changing! LaTeisha is the owner and she is the consummate professional. She knows how to pamper her clients and put you at ease. She puts you in a safe space and does magic on your skin. I started going for back "facials", because as a widow, have no one to wash or check my back. I went for two during the summer, to keep swimsuit ready. I bought a couple of prepaid facials months & months ago. I made my first appointment but COVID hit my family hard and my mom passed away. I rescheduled for 2 months later, but the Feb snow storm hit and my boss's biggest event of the year was moved to my appointment day. I made another appointment and then my husband surprised me with a weekend at the lake, 1 day after I was to get microdermabrasion. I'm a sun lover and I knew even with sunscreen, I couldn't shield myself enough after. I move my appointment again. SO - it's now September and I'm about to have my first facial on 9/17!!! I bought these in December. My sister has her second baby on 9/4 and I can see she's stressed and needs a break. She has a couple of REALLY rough days, so I reach out to La Teisha to see if I can trade her in for me. Here's the REAL review - After 3 reschedules, La Teisha let's me swap my sister in. I tell her why and what's going on and she just jumped in and made my sister feel like a goddess. She gave her a bomb gift bag, personalized a sign for her and my sister came home like a new person. She said it was the best facial she's ever had and she's already looking for appointments in November for herself. She talked about this facial all weekend and said La Teisha is an angel and a true master at her trade. While I still have yet to experience this heaven myself, what I can say is that her customer service is impeccable. Her heart is 100% in her business. She also seems to have patience in buckets because well, I sure gave her a run around and she delivered an amazing experience for my sister at a time she needed it the most. It's been a rough year for us and that this facial brought her this much joy, means La Teisha is doing everything right. I found Donyea through Facebook. I've had a few basic facials before but hers was by far the best. I go to the Frisco location. It is small, but cute and comfortable. My skin has been struggling with reoccurring breakout since having my son. My face needed done TLC that my home products just couldn't provide. I bought a package deal. 2 facials with microdermabrasion or dermaplanning for $99. Great deal. I've only used micro but plan to use the derm next time. I liked her so much I purchased 2 more for myself and 2 gentleman's beard facial for my husband (he'd never had a facial) for his birthday. Personally I recommend her to anyone and everyone. She's knowledgeable about the products she uses and has been able to guide me toward/away from things and services I should use while breastfeeding. After a relaxing facial she also sent me on my way with a cute little hand sanitizer. The only con is she's hard to get in with. But that's a great thing for her! read more

Love this place. Have you been somewhere where you just feel at home. This is definitely the place. I have visited twice- once for a massage and the other for a facial. The facial was great. My aesthetician was wonderful. I was introduced to a new skincare line that I really like and have purchased a whole new line of products. I bout a LIVING SOCIAL DEAL - BIG MISTAKE!! Her voicemail says she booked through September and text or email for an appointment in October - December. I do and request any cancellation. She offers one for 10 am the next morning. Sends a reminder text to bring cash or check for tip. I show up 30 minutes early. After driving 30 minutes. At 10 min after I called texted and emailed. No response. Over an hour later I got this..Omg!!! I am so sorry. I mixed the days. (remember the appoint was made less than 24 hours prior) . I understand that you are furious and you own a salon so I know your time is money. I'm pregnant with twins so at this point I'm just going to blame it on them. While she did offer me another appointment later in the day, it was too little too late. This is not the way to grow a business or treat clients. And btw the Madison Salons at Watter's Creek in Allen was cold and unwelcoming. FOLLOW UP: AFTER SHE READ MY REVIEW SHE TEXTED AND TEXTED AND TEXTED ME A SMALL CHAPTER OF A BOOK. Okay folks, I just left Destiny Day Spa. I purchased the facial, microdermabrasion and eyebrow waxing that Donyea offers through Groupon, one for me and one for my Mom. I confess touting Donyea here in this review with such loud enthusiasm is a bit of shooting myself in the foot, as she is already quite busy, but the truth is, she is a really GOOD person doing something she loves and deserves the world to know she is out there, doing her thing and rocking it. This woman is a phenomenal woman. It took three weeks to find an opening with her that worked for my schedule and I left work a little early to indulge in this. Zero regrets there. I just cannot say enough how impressed I am. As a registered nurse, cleanliness and sterile practice is the first thing I look for. As a woman, a little pampering, being made to feel at home and comfortable and getting the service I paid for comes next. She met all my criteria and then some. She had hinted in the lead-up to my appointment (she is great at being in touch, giving directions and letting you know all the details that make it simple to just show up) that I would relax and possibly fall asleep, but I liked her so much I found myself contentedly yammering away as if we were old friends and the hour flew by with much laughter. My face looks dewy soft and my skin is truly glowing. I feel super good about myself and really privileged to trade life stories with Donyea. I got a facial and I got a new friend. It take serious quality for me to type up a review. The new treatment I went to her for went beyond my expectation. She has been treating my skin for a while now, and it has aided my skin care routine so much. This Saturday I went for a new treatment plan called hydrating facial w/ dermaplaning & celluma. Lengthy as it sounds, it was 2hrs packed with goodness, other than all the great facial treatments it also included foot scrub and a massage which was so relaxing. Afterwards I kept staring at the mirror looking at how dewy my skin looked and felt. She paid great attention to detail and customized to my skin need, the experience was seamless. I also bought a Living Social deal with Donyea. Super duper great deal! OMG. $29 for a facial, microdermabrasion and eyebrow waxing. I figured for this great price, why not check it out!? Sometimes you feel like such a cheapskate when you use this "groupons" and such, but she didn't blink an eye. What a great way to get new customers. I thought the Salons at Watters Creek were very nice. Modern, clean and very professional. While the "salons" are just rented rooms, I'm fine with that. Actually it's a great idea. Her room was very small, but had a nice water feature that was very soothing. Nothing crazy fancy, so don't go if you want to have the whole "luxury spa" experience. Been there,done that, my gf can give me those spa days for gifts! When it's MY dime, I want a good, affordable, relaxing and friendly experience. (Affordable being the operative word!) Donyea was very friendly and cute as a button. Actually when I saw her walk in, I was like, "Oh that girl is funky cool and I bet a hairdresser"... but noooo... she was my girl! Yay! When I told her I had just gotten off work and would probably fall asleep, she got it and was friendly but not overly chatty... letting me just drift away and relax. I had never had microdermabrasion before, so she explained the process. Sounded kinda freaky! But after a semi painless eyebrow waxing, she started sucking all that dead skin off my face with the tiny vacuum... weird.. but oddly nice! She was very thorough. Then she gave me a very relaxing facial and awesome warm moist peppermint towel wrap. A shoulder/neck mini massage too. So nice but wish it was longer! LOL. At the end she was nice enough to offer me the same deal again, and also let me know about a package deal. I think I am actually going to get a package with her. The next day my skin felt amazing and the texture seems so smooth. I can actually see a difference. Go check her out. It's worth the drive to Allen. Worst facial ever, I tried to do facials at least once a year and I found a groupon for this place. I showed up on time and she sent me to the waiting area because she was on the phone. The places I've been too they give you a form to fill out or at least ask you what kind of products you are using or what type of skin you have, she didn't. She put the steam on my face for less than a 30 seconds, then she proceed it to apply creams after cream on my face and the she was done! Really?!?! oh BTW she had bad breath Sheeshhh. I received a chemical peel and Derrière Treatment. The treatments were extremely relaxing, I almost fell asleep.I have been getting compliments on my skin all week- wearing absolutely NO makeup! I had the same problem with this spa in regards to a groupon deal. They/she, whoever "supposedly" runs this place, will not return my phone calls or text. I've tried to book my appointment over and over again. They said to text and they are not responding. Meanwhile, they have my money! Big MISTAKE. I've contacted groupon and my credit card company. I refuse to let them take my money and not provide service. Good luck with repeat customers. Allen is a small town and people talk. Bad reputation's can kill a business.
