I want to thank Cassandra for everything she did with our puppies. We started with our 9 year old…read moreextremely reactive dog and just after a few lessons he changed into a well behaved, socialized pet that we were excited to bring out into public and show off. There was no question or hesitation, we knew right away that our brand new puppy Storm (American Bully) would benefit from the same training and we could nip any behaviour or bad manners ahead of time. Let me tell you, when I say that the Cassandra is the best trainer in town, that is not an exaggeration. She is professional, prompt and continues to support us. Her knowledge on dog training is mind blowing how she can transform our dog from pulling and barking to being able to walk off leash and not leave our side As a repeat customer, we highly recommend Put In The Time K9 to anyone who owns a dog, no matter what stage they are at!!

I called Pitt K9 because I couldn't even take my dog for a walk she would pull me all over the place to the point where I was getting injured. She would also take off on me, and I could get her to come back to me. I was at the point where I was thinking of giving her up because she was too much dog for me. , but I loved her so much that I kept trying different things and different trainers. Well I can say now we have found the right one. Cassandra at PITT K9 is my girl. In four short weeks, I am able to walk my dog. She comes when I call her. She makes eye contact. She had never looked at me like this before. I can wait to see what comes next. I recommend PITT K9 to everyone with a dog. Even if they are struggling with the smallest problems with their dog. I wish i would have gone here first

This review is solely my opinion and my experience…read more Please do your research ask questions how will you help me? What skills will you teach me? What experience do you have and ask for references, Bark Busters trainer for Sudbury does not have the skills or knowledge to help if you have a dog with BEHAVIOUR PROBLEMS - REACTIVE or FEARFUL. I wouldn't even use them for basic, she used inhumane methods. Suggested to me was spray your dog, throw things at your dog for unwanted behaviours when reacting, she wanted to make my dog react to get him to a state of fear to use these methods to name a few. She tried to trigger and push the dog to react, this will not help the behaviour only worsen. Worst of it they would be doing this to the dog themselves. I was given the wrong impression from the start as she had told me she had handles reactive and behaviour problems that I explained to them initially. If you have a dog who is reactive it will negatively impact as it did mine. Reinforcing that strangers will try to hurt them and end up being more fearful eventually turning into aggression with no warning if you use these methods continuously. A crate was a safe space but she was trying to convince you to use it negatively for punishment. Throw stuff at them, slam the crate with them inside of it. She was drawing at straws only made a couple visits and complained that I was too far even though she had committed to being my trainer. -I was given a full refund, but the damage was already done. It's not about the money.

I recently spoke with the individual responsible for puppy placements at PetSave Sudbury and want…read moreto share my experience with the adoption screening process. I spent about an hour on the phone discussing care standards and expectations. I want to acknowledge that she is clearly experienced and knowledgeable, and I agreed with many of the principles she raised. It's also apparent that the organization maintains very high standards -- reflected in the fact that there are over one hundred dogs and puppies currently awaiting adoption. However, the tone and delivery of the conversation were extremely discouraging. What should have been a professional screening felt one-sided, rigid, and overly forceful. Rather than a respectful evaluation of fit, the call came across as confrontational and dismissive. As an experienced dog owner and trainer, I expected a collaborative discussion where my background and answers would be considered. Instead, I frequently felt interrupted and unheard when trying to explain my experience and approach. I left the conversation feeling talked down to and inadequate, which should not be the outcome of a responsible adoption inquiry. High standards in rescue are important and commendable -- but communication style matters. Screening can be thorough without being overbearing. Qualified, prepared adopters should feel fairly assessed, not discouraged from the process. I support rescue work and responsible placement, but based on my experience, the screening approach would benefit from being more balanced, respectful, and open to dialogue.

I have a huge fenced in yard. but somehow I'm not suitable. I respect what they do for dogs, but I will NEVER adopt a dog from them. how dare you telI me I'm not good enough to own a dog.
