Skipolinis is my family's favorite place for pizza. In the past we would always rate the food and experience 5 stars. This review is for tonight's visit. The food was decent, but our service was terrible. Our server was Angel, and he was pleasant but not a very good server. He forgot a number of requests, made mistakes on our order, and didn't refill our drinks until after we finished eating. Had this been our first visit we most likely wouldn't return. Been to this location twice now. We usually have amazing service and good food. I understand we went with a large party and the waitor explained they were short staffed. I understand about being short staffed and it's hard to be 20 places at once. Our waters were only filled once but theyd refill sodas, which was weird. I will never come back here again. I came in and placed a to go order for a soup and salad. After waiting 25 minutes I asked how much longer and they said my salad was ready but not the soup ( how long does it take to pour soup in a Togo cup). This past Saturday I went here with two of my girlfriends before we went out Christmas shopping. I just recently learned that I can no longer have wheat and thought there was no way they would have anything for me to eat here. To my surprise they had gluten free crust for pizza and as well as dairy free option too. It was so tasty that i for got it was gluten free. The food was GREAT, the service was great, they put a table for a large party together pretty fast. They had a few different service staff taking care of our table. All food came out fast and hot. Wings, salad, pizza, and beer all were great. Service staff was very helpful with questions and concerns by our party. The place was pretty packed 9n a Saturday night but they sat us quick. Was in here last week and our server Kaitlyn was amazing! I ended up not exactly loving my first dish ( pregnancy doesn't help), and she took it back immediately and got me something else fairly quickly! The shrimp scampi was delicious! I don't know how they stay in business. The food isn't that great. They put black olives on a greek pizza and not Kalamata olives. Mostly though, the service is horrible. We've been going since 2020. At first, we thought it was Covid, but after the Covid restrictions were taken off the place was still bad. We waited 30 minutes just to pay our check. We stopped going after that for a year. When we decided to go back it seemed to get better. However it's getting bad again. Today, we waited 15 minutes after getting seated. The waitress never talked to us. We just decided to leave because she was taking orders from people who had been sat after us. The staff is bad and seems to lack communication. I don't know how any gain experience. I think I might have found a new favorite pizza, we stopped in for lunch and found this restaurant to be perfect for our small group. Seating was spread out and the service was quick and friendly. My first time here. The food was absolutely incredible. The family salad the dressing was perfectly tossed super fresh lettuce that salami garbanzo beans and the most delicious dressing ever. We got the prego pizza even though there's nobody pregnant in the family it was amazing Full of delicious perfectly cooked toppings the crust was to die for. My family and I made a reservation for Valentine's Day because we heard about the restaurant being family friendly. The atmosphere succeeded beyond our expectations. We have two small children who are very adventurous, and when I saw they had a playground I was so happy. The kids were able to play, get their energy out while the hubby and I were able to enjoy a Valentine's Day dinner. What really made me so happy was the service. I haven't had that good of a service in a very, very long time. Colt was 5 steps ahead of everything, he kept up with my picky eater kids, made sure we were always taken care of and was just an overall genuinely kind individual. Manny the manager was also so amazing! You can tell family and hospitality is apart of his value in life. Place was clean. Quite dark inside makes for reading menu more difficult especially for older customers. Food arrived quickly and fresh. Decent sized portions. Waitress was nice enough. Took my uncle out to eat he got the chicken marsala and I got the new healthy menu option Tuscan chicken. The marsala is always this go-to favorite. He enjoyed it. The Tuscan was delicious! I would have this again for sure. Light in that I did not leave feeling stuffed which was great, but filled me up. I love Skipolini's and have only great experiences here. We always sit at the bar - the bartenders are friendly and attentive. Katy makes the best Cosmo in the Sacramento area. Skipolini's is a bit nostalgic for me since my parents used to take me to the Antioch location when I was a small child in the mid to late 1990s. I visited this location in 2013 for my nephew's fourth birthday, and in 2023 to pick up a pizza. Last night, June 1, 2024, I dined in once again and ordered the Cajun pasta, and I could not believe how absolutely delicious it was. My date wasn't too into the eggplant parmigiana she ordered, but she loved the gelato she got at the end. I'll definitely be back for the Cajun pasta soon! No complaints about my server. I love the feel of this restaurant! My daughter took me here for mothers day lunch (the next day, cz I didn't want to deal with wait times). They had at least 2 huge family style tables, and the booths were also large enough to accommodate 4-6 people. The general feel of the place was welcoming. We have been to this restaurant before when it had a wait time, but this visit, if it were our first one we would not be coming back and there was no wait. The appetizers were warm at best, the food came out with items missing and we had to ask our server who did apologize, stating 'the kitchen was backed up'. We ordered coffee with dessert and the server brought a half cup stating it was the last of the pot, and they were making more. We never saw the missing other half of cup of coffee. This is a great family style restaurant to gather and catch-up on life and have some great food and drinks. The service was perfect and all the people who helped up were friendly and right on all all times to make our dining experience favorable. We chose to sit outside and there was plenty of room for our party and the kids and plenty of room to move around. Not cramped at all. Their "Famous Sangria" is a nice start and is delightfully yummy, however, a little too sweet. Our two appetizers, the Caprese Bruschetta and the Calamari Fritti were both very tasty and is a definite re-order when we come back. For the kids, the Kids Pizza and Kids Spaghetti were both excellent choices and add the 3 meatballs was a keeper. The kids really enjoyed their food. All in all, Skipolini's is a great choice for a family and friends get together. and we will definitely be back to try some other items on their menu. read more

At 38 weeks pregnant and being huge AF, I came here to order the Prego pizza so I could get things moving! This pizza is jam packed with garlic, onions, a special blend of herbs, and lots of meat and peppers including spicy longinisa. Word off the street is that eating this pizza (at least 3 slices per our server) can start labor contractions. I was desperate to get my baby out so my family and I dined here for lunch. We sat on the patio which was cool because there was a playground for my daughter to run off her energy. In addition to the prego pizza, I got the lunch special slice of cheese pizza for my daughter which was actually ginormous and only $5. I was going to get her a personal sized pizza for $12 but our server was awesome and suggested some more cost effective options since my little one wasn't going to eat that much. As for the prego pizza, unfortunately it did not work and I ended up having to be induced 3 weeks later lol. The pizza however was delicious! I loved the crust and all of the flavors of the toppings. We have been at Skipolini's many times, but this time (12-6-24) it was terrible. First, I had to explain what kind of pizza I wanted and the manager came over and worked it out. The server had no clue. Other severs knew what to do. Second, my wife's herb roasted chicken was so tough she could not cut it. Again, the manager came over and deleted the cost. I checked the receipt this morning and we were charged for 2 kids soda which we did not order for $6.50. There were no kids at the table. There's pizza....and then there is Skipolinis! This is hands down the best pizza I've eaten in my adult life (RIP PV's pizza in Pittsburgh, PA). The crust- top notch. The toppings: fresh and delicious. They know how to add veggies to pizza and keep them crunchy! The pepperonis always have that premium flavor. I love that they can deliver with door dash. First of all please read because this is gonna be good!!! I would give this place half a star or zero stars if yelp allowed it! I wasn't going to review this place but I felt like people need to know. I ordered the pesto pasta. I kid you not at the bottom of my bowl I seen a peice of hair. Then as I dug a little deeper their was a whole GIANT hair ball in my food. It didn't help that it blended into the sauce and whatever else was in the dish at the very bottom of my bowl...... and I ate some of the pasta, I knew it tasted funny but knew I had to eat the dam* thing because it was an overpriced bowl of pasta!!!! Once I showed the hairball to waitress she gagged, was very sweet and went to the back for a manager. They had to of been laughing or coming up with a reason on why half a cat was in my dish I just ate . It took the managers forever to came out and once they did they apologized and said they swear they keep their kitchen clean. They then told me that all of their pasta dishes were shipped frozen from somewhere else. I payed $15 or whatever it cost to eat pasta that came from who knows where! It is like they shaved a cat in their sink and tossed it in with their dam* pasta. Which is a shame because I loved their skip dip but never ever again!!! I feel like puking just looking at the picture someone graciously took for me. These managers didn't make me pay for the pizza my family ordered, they charged the hairball pasta (who does that),and gave me a gift card and begged me to come back. I am still discusted and because of this incident a lot more caution with where I eat. All of these great reviews on their pasta dishes scare me. Where is this stuff getting shipped from and how did a whole hairball end up in my food? Also, why did it have to be at the bottom of my bowl of pasta hidden in the pesto sauce? My guess is the kitchen is really nasty and they definatly do NOT pay attention to their food? We will never know unless you locals asks questions. Amazing service! We selected Skipolini's Rocklin for our soccer team end-of-season party. Upon booking, they immediately shared their recommendations for coordinating the easiest event possible, and they were 100% correct! They recommended collecting family orders in advance and calling to put orders early in the day, prior to our event. They were gracious enough to give our group the whole patio and set us up adjacent to the play structure, which kept the kids all happily occupied. When we arrived, they allowed us to move things a bit, gave us two dedicated servers, had all of our orders in, ready to go when we requested, and brought drinks out to the adults promptly. Pizza was delicious! We got a Prego Pizza which has everything on it! It's the Supreme of supreme pizzas. The only ingredient I didn't care for on the pizza was the hamburger. The Joe they use is Super Fresh and soft. We also got the bacon wrapped jalapenos which were good. It's a nice place to go sit down and relax and eat. They don't rush you and it's a very relaxed atmosphere. Our waitress made sure we were happy the whole time we were there. You will have plenty of leftovers! I could only eat a piece and a half of pizza because it was full of meats and vegetables. The Prego Pizza has salami ham sausage pepperoni and hamburger.
