Pizza is delicious and sold by the slice. The caprese salad is *chefs kiss*. Big dining area and TVs playing sports.

In a nutshell; great pizza, ok service, and good prices. If youre looking for good ny style pizza that'll fill you up and not run you up too much on the budget side then Id say celestino's a place to consider. Parking all around so parking shouldn't be too much of an issue, theres good amount of tables all around. Though, getting to the area where we give our order, the person at the didnt really ask or had a greeting and just kind of waited for us to give our order. Not that thats bad but just doesnt quite give excellent customer service, and that has occurred on both visits I had on different occasions, still despite that, can brush it off due to the excellent quality of the pizza. First time here because family wanted a New York-style pizza! We originally ordered one extra-large cheese pizza, but decided to order another since the slices are big. I decided to order one slice of the white pie while we waited, and it was so good, considering it was heated under those lamps! I can only imagine how much better it would have tasted had it been fresh!! The workers were also so friendly and nice! Went for dinner last night around 8:30. The staff was great and while they were still a little busy the food came out quick! We started with the wings which were awesome. Great flavor and nice and crispy. We got the buffalo sauce on the side so they stayed crispy the whole time. Soon after we finished our pizza came out. The first thing we noticed was how great it smelled! We got a half and half and I don't remember the names. One had pineapple, pepperoni, jalapeño and fresh garlic and the other was pepperoni, mushroom, and olive. The cheese was plentiful which was appreciated, great pull! We sat outside while the sun set so the kids were able to move around without being distracting to others. Overall great experience and can't wait to go back! read more

Good food, easy experience, no complaints. Ordered a slice of pepperoni and the penne in vodka sauce. The pizza is as good as everyone says it is. It's not the best pizza I've ever had, but it was a solid piece of pepperoni that was truly New York style and satisfied my pizza craving. It was a large slice, too, so a perfect meal on its own. The pasta was a surprisingly generous portion and came with a handful of garlic knots on the plate. Delicious vodka sauce and the garlic knots were a welcome surprise, which were soft and chewy and not overly garlicky. I ended up having to take most of it home because I was too full between the slice of pepperoni and the sheer generosity of the portion of pasta. Prices here are incredibly reasonable and especially compared to what I'm used to here at home in the Bay Area. Five bucks for a slice of pepperoni, fourteen for a plate of pasta and garlic knots. This is an order-at-the-counter-and-seat-yourself type of place, where they'll bring your food out to you when it's ready. I was doing some Uber eats deliveries when I picked up a pizza from this place and it made my car smell so good. Later on, I decided to drive back and order myself a White Pizza Slice. It was really good although I wish the dough was a little harder. I like a slice of pizza that doesn't flop when I am eating it. It was pretty good though. We were next door hanging out at Boba Lane. Stayed a little longer than we intended so thought we'd get some pizza to go for dinner. We ordered 2 medium pizzas. One was half pepperoni and the other half was Oscar's Spicy Luau, and a combination pizza. Ordering on phone was easy and the order was ready when they said it would be. The pizza was absolutely amazing!!! My favorite is the Oscars Spicy Luau. Toppings were piled and that combination of jalapeños and pineapple was life changing!! Sooo delicious. This is one of the best pizza places I have had in the area. The pizza is very fresh and always delicious I would compare it to authentic New York style pizza. The restaurant could use a bit of updating but also it feels like kind of a hometown pizzeria vibe. Celestino's is one of the only places I've found this side of the Mississippi that advertises New York-style pizza and actually delivers on it. The cheese slice is the real standout--simple, classic, and exactly what you want from a NY pie. But I usually can't resist adding a slice of the Danny DeVito too. The mix of ricotta and pepperoni on the DeVito adds just the right amount of creamy richness to the slice. The service is quick, and the vibe is unpretentious--just good pizza done right. If you're in Rocklin and craving a real slice, this place is worth the stop. Pro tip: Order by the slice. Came here for dinner on a Sunday evening and it got pretty busy after we arrived! Seems like a pretty popular family spot. They have pretty good variety of pizzas and pastas here, and a kids menu too! It's very casual with counter style service so it makes for a nice quick meal. Even though we ordered several dishes, our food came out quickly all at once within about 15 minutes. My favorites were definitely the bbq chicken pizza, lasagna, and the garlic bread. I enjoyed the tortellini in the creamy pesto but would've preferred a different sauce. The XL size pizza was perfect for our group of 6. The slices are huge, but it was so delicious! I liked that the bbq chicken pizza wasn't too saucy and the dough was right in between thin crust and thick crust. It's a walk up and read the menu at the counter type of place, they have many types of pizza, but also fried zucchini and some pasta dishes. The service is at the counter, you simply request the order and pay and they bring it out to you. Nice folks working here, friendly and accommodating. I tried the combo with mushrooms and it was great. Next time I'll be having the pepperoni. The restaurant has a large dining area. Went here with my girlfriend and her brother and enjoyed it very much! The pizza was delicious, and their garlic knots were great too. The customer service was good, and answered any questions we had (very few lol it's pizza cmon). The warm lights contrasted the grey outside nicely too, I was very comfortable. Plates and utensils like cups are self-served and are easily accessible. All of you find something to complain about. This place has fantastic pizza. Stretchy cheese pull, little char on the crust, bright marinara. The fried ravioli will make you salivate for another...and another. My wife craves all of their salads saying they are refreshing and satiating unto themselves. One of the best additions is their homemade ranch which they sell by the bottle for customers. I started ordering from Celestino's about two years ago. I was very impressed with the pizza, calzone and pasta. Something has shifted in the past six months that I stopped ordering. The pasta did not have enough sauce was dry. I would put special notes on the Door Dash order and they were ignored. I would call about the order and nothing would be done. I ordered a Calzone last night. They are usually very good. This one was half the size of the usual calzone, flat and slightly burnt. I was going to call, but then thought it would be just a waste of time. Something has happened at this restaurant that has caused a huge quality and service downward spiral. We've been going to Celestino's in Rocklin ever since my first review in June of 2023. I have also returned to NY area a few times since then and I was reminded that Celestino's pizza is *exactly* like the pizza I get in the NY/NJ area. I have developed an addiction to Celestino's pizza. Not only is the Pizza (and entrees) authentic NY style, but, the restaurant itself (and the coupons on the pizza box) is/are exactly like many of the Pizza places I frequented when I grew up in NJ, NY and Upstate NY! Feels like home... People are nice and they will make the pizza however you want it. In my previous review, I mentioned that the pizza was baked too dark for me (and there were a few reviewers that mentioned the same thing). They (Celestino's) told me that a lot of people like it dark (I've heard that before; but never in the Northeast US). My solution to that: I ask them to do a "light bake"; they told me to say that: like they do with the pizzas they sell by the slice (because they have to be re-heated). But one time it came out cooked too light (white); so now I say: "Light bake- to a light brown, please". And it comes out GREAT just like I'd get back East. Thus my addiction now. A funny thing: for a long time I didn't know they had a "GIANT" (20" size). I just asked for a large, thinking I was getting the largest pizza they made; then last year I heard someone ask for a "Giant"... Now whenever we go I get this: a Giant pizza, a slice of White pizza (also awesome), and Chicken parmesan (awesome- just like all my family makes). Enough to eat there and for a couple meals after. I really like this restaurant and I recommend it to anyone that grew up in the NY/NJ/Upstate NY areas with all the family pizza places and Italian restaurants. They have big TVs everywhere so I can do two of my favorite things: Eat pizza and watch the game. Great Ambiance... Just feels like home. read more
