Scoreboards Pizza and Grill, located in the upscale Granite Bay area of Roseville, CA, is a restaurant that specializes in pizza, but serves a variety of your favorite "pub type food" in a family-friendly, sports bar-like atmosphere, complete with a welcoming patio and a full-service bar. You'll be treated to some of the best pizza in town, along with amazing service, that's as friendly as it gets. As you enter the restaurant, you'll we welcomed by a friendly host, and you'll notice the full-service bar and the many television monitors, which give a "sports bar" feel to the restaurant. On the wall, next to the bar, is a list of specials when a game is being played. Scoreboards leans heavily towards a sports bar, and offers a great place to relax, and enjoy a game. On this late Saturday morning, not much was happing in the world of sports, but that wasn't my "plan," as I was content to enjoy the late morning on the patio, along with a "Classic Burger." From the "Free Agents/Burgers" section of the menu, I went with a "Classic Burger," with "Ciabatta" as my bun and "Thousand Island" for my dressing. To really make my classic "old school," I went with Cheddar cheese, which always works wonderful with a fine burger. All "Free Agents" on the menu include shredded lettuce, diced tomato, sliced red onion and dill pickle slices. Perhaps it was the beer talking to me, but today, I enhanced my "Classic Burger" with sliced avocado and bacon, to make this a special treat. The burger started with a half pound hand-formed patty of tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned beef, cooked to medium. I didn't ask my beef to be cooked medium - it arrived that way - which was fine with me, as that's how I prefer my beef. I assume you could have your beef cooked any way you choose by just asking your friendly server. The beef was placed on a buttered and lightly toasted ciabatta bun, which held together well, and helped to round out the juicy "bite" of the beef. As per my order, both sides of the buns were coated with "Thousand Island" dressing, and a melted slab of Cheddar cheese was placed on top of the meat. The burger was dressed with diced lettuce, sliced tomato, sliced red onion and dill pickle chips. The optional avocado slices and bacon added an extra "foodie" dimension to this amazing burger. Truly a delicious, "old school" burger to enjoy! The large side of fries complimented and enhanced this wonderful burger! What goes together better than a burger, along with an order of fries? The fries were perfectly deep fried to a rich, golden brown, deep fried crispy on the outside, soft, white and tender on the inside. Like the burger, the fries were perfect! From the "Free Agents/Burgers" section of the menu, I went with a "Turkey Burger" as my second burger, thanks to the "Buy one get one free" offer I had received online to redeem during the month of May. Like all burgers on the menu, the "Turkey Burger" gave you a choice of bun, dressing and cheese. I chose a "Ciabatta" bun, Cheddar cheese, and like my "Classic Burger," I opted for Thousand Island dressing, to make this an "old school" delight. Like all burgers on the menu, the "Turkey Burger" includes shredded lettuce, tomato slices, red onion slices and dill pickle chips, and includes a mountain of delicious fries. I opted for a "to-go" box for my "Turkey Burger," as it was my "freebie burger" - thanks to the promotion - and I had plans to take it home and enjoy it for dinner. The meat patty of turkey was BIG... one half pound, and amazing juicy, flavorful and tender. I admit that I was pleasantly surprised, as most turkey patties are dry and boring, but not so at Scoreboards Pizza and Grill! The thick turkey patty was tender, juicy and grilled to perfection. Seasoning was slight or maybe non-existent... no complaints on my part as the burger was simply delicious! Like the "Classic Burger," the "Turkey Burger" was placed on a buttered, and grilled "Chiabatta" bun. As per my order, the turkey patty was covered with a slice of melted Cheddar cheese, which worked well with the "Thousand Island" dressing to garnish my burger. Shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, sliced red onion and dill pickle wedges rounded out the burger. Like the mountain of fries I enjoyed with my "Classic Burger," the fries were deep fried to a perfect golden brown, and made for an amazing side to this simply delicious "Turkey Burger." The "Turkey Burger," along with the fries were "on the house," thanks to the offer I received online, so I brought them home in the "to-go" box and enjoyed the delicious meal for dinner. Thanks... This is a family friendly sports bar with decent happy hour pitchers and good pizza. We come here after soccer and it allows the kids to run around outside and the parents to unwind. Unfortunately I have to leave this after my dinner last night. I had not been to scoreboards for a while and I had always a good experience but something has changed. The restaurant was not clean and seems like no one cares about what the place looks like. Our server was nice and attentive, so no issues there at all. The food was a disaster. We had 2 tri tip sandwiches and 1 burger. The tri tip was completely over cooked and had no taste. The fries we soggy and the buns were just terrible. The burger had the same issues with no flavor. We also had the mozzarella sticks and they over cooked and was just so bad, I was shocked on how far down the quality of food has went down. It just seems like they don't care. Received a coupon for a BOGO pizza. My family loves pizza. Leftovers are usually gone the next day. I was like sweet, a free pizza and a place we haven't been. So we walk in to a large restaurant with outdoor seating and the place is dead. There were two men at the bar. We decided to sit at the bar so the waitress wouldn't have to walk ALL THE WAY AROUD THE ENTIRE BAR to help us. We ordered two beers and mozzarella sticks to start. More men started coming in the bar area and you could tell they had been there before. When the mozzarella sticks came out they were cold in the middle! I used my coupon and there was no problem there. She brought the pizza out in boxes. And asked if we needed plates. As we ate our pizza the men at the bar were just walking behind the bar. The waitress started giving them ALL free pizza. Then the shift changed and the new waitress didn't ask if we wanted anything or came back to check on us. The pizza was mid and way over priced. We stopped because our kids were starving after a day at the lake... the business should really warn customers that the kids pizzas are not the same pizzas that they regularly serve. I actually thought they might be frozen pizzas from the drug store. The kids personal pizzas are 4 tiny slices of burnt cardboard. We had to send one back because it was so burnt it was completely inedible. We ordered 3 pizzas 8$ each and had to order garlic knots after because all three kids were still hungry. For 24$ plus the cost of the knots we could have just gotten them a regular pizza... truly disappointing because their regular pizza is actually good. I've given this place more chances than I can count because the pizza is decent, and the bar and beer selection are good. Unfortunately, the service is just consistently awful. Even when the restaurant is nearly empty, the waitress always seems completely overwhelmed. Simple things like waters, plates, napkins, or silverware require asking multiple times--and half the time they still never show up. It's not unusual for a party of five to be given only two plates, no napkins, and to have to request basics like ranch or refills three or more times before giving up. The server rarely checks in except to drop food or the bill, which makes the whole experience frustrating. This isn't a one-off situation--it's happened every visit. Honestly, it's too painful to deal with anymore. The service has gotten to the point where it overshadows the food and drinks, and we won't be returning. We love Scoreboards and drive from Lincoln just because it is our favorite pizza place. The crust is soft, chewy and flavorful. The sauce is light and not zesty which we prefer. The salads are always cold and fresh and the ranch is perfection and comes in a bowl to feed the crowd. I just wished I remembered to snap a photo. HUGE FAN! Can you please open up a Scoreboards in Sacramento? I love your sauce and your food is delicious. I went to a birthday party here where I enjoyed fries, hummus and of course, pizza. The fries were perfect. The hummus was delicious and their pizza was amazing. The sauce on the pizza was like no other and I couldn't get enough. I had cheese and pepperoni pizza and just LOVED IT. The location is nice on the corner of a shopping area and parking is easy in the shared parking space with the other shops. The restaurant is clean and employees are very nice. I writing because my colleague and friend, Leonard C. recently posted about our experience here. Although the food and service are normally good...we have been regular customers...we sit for lunch and discussions every week or two. This was not the first time dining here, where younger kids were allowed to run around freely. Not everyone appreciates loud children to disturb the pleasantries of such an establishment. This is one reason I choose not to go to places like Chucky-Cheeze, (now) Starbucks, etc. I want to relax and enjoy a meal and talk with friends/colleagues. I'm also writing to support my friend, Leonard, because he was "bashed" by one of the mom's that allowed this to happen. We both asked the server what was going on with the kids being noisy..at a table next to us and we asked, "where were their parents?" The server said..."Oh, I'm watching them, because they are out on the patio." Really? She was the only server in the place. Meanwhile, the owner and her friends...the one's out at the outside patio were ignoring what was going on with the kids. And yes, one or more of them were drinking beer. Personally, I don't care that they/she was drinking, because I do to...I would if I had kids that were too ancy to sit still, as well. The only time they checked on the kids was when they decided to move inside and sit next to the bar. Look, I'm not one to give bad reviews or to say something negative, but because this lady basically called my friend a liar, I had to say something. It's just sad to see things like this happen...and it's sad to see restaurants give priorities to those who are disturbing others. We don't need to have absolute since, as in a library, as suggested, but we do Expect people to control their kids...this is not a daycare center and it's not an entertainment playground either. It's too bad this lady won't own up to her responsibilities as a parent. Just saying! Anyways, it's a shame...we enjoyed the food and the quaintness of this place. I initially reviewed this restaurant 2 years ago and had a less than great experience with the food but I tried them again last month and the food was excellent. I ordered 2 sandwiches and two appetizers. I recently visited again and ordered a large pizza and and more appetizers and they were outstanding. I'm updating my review because I now believe my initial experience was a one off and not representative of how great this place really is. I will continue to dine here. My friends and I have been visiting every pizza place in Sacramento to find out who has the best pizza. One of our more recent picks was to try Scoreboards. I have to say, this was one of the best ones we've been to. Staff was friendly, the building itself had a good atmosphere, and even has a bar. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza to keep it uniform with the other places we reviewed, and this was definitely one of the best ones we've had. It came in at $21.25 + tax so it's not cheap, but not expensive either. The sauce the put on it had some of the best flavor out of all the places we've tried. The actual flavor of the pizza overall was good. The crust had such a good texture, but the actual flavor of it was average. Overall, Scoreboards is a must try for their pizza and will definitely be in my rotation when deciding where I want to eat at. We decided to give it an 8.75/10 overall rating. read more

This establishment was once a great spot with friendly regulars, staff, and fair prices. For some unknown reason, it has declined over the last few months in regards to the quality of food, slow service, and there seems to be no accountability from upper management/ownership. Many of the regulars have left and gone elsewhere. Complaints or issues as mentioned have not been addressed. I hope there's change in the near future. read more

We came here because they have an outdoor patio and we were able to bring our dogs with us. The patio heaters were working for part of the time but kept shutting off so it was pretty chilly. The pizza was okay. Not great but not bad either. I really enjoyed the breadsticks and the ranch dipping sauce but probably wouldn't come back here for the pizza. read more

I was in this restaurant Friday night 10/18 getting a beer after work. The young bar tender did serve me my beer. I then proceeded to take 3 drinks out of it before she came back and asked for my ID. I kindly gave it to her. She ended up breaking it on purpose, sourly. As I tried to get it back from her she clinched down on it and caused me to rip it from her hands. I have been trying to get in contact with the manager to file a complaint for a couple days now. This bartender was extreme rude and unapologetic for any of it... I was extremely caught off guard. I love the pizza and supporting local so I do keep trying to go back but the service is not good. Anytime we have tried to pick up a pizza as a local family, we are there exactly on time when they say it will be ready and we always have to wait extra long - they hardly acknowledge us - it's hard to get a straightforward answer about when food will be ready - I understand things get backed up but its consistently the same.
