Amy had adorable pet photos in her room and told me all about her fur babies. Amy did such a thorough job with my teeth cleaning. She was so thoughtful to hand me chapstick to keep my lips moist throughout the cleaning. She gave a detailed explanation of what she was doing and told me of any teeth that needed extra attention or might need some repairs soon. Once she was completed with my cleaning Dr. Marsh checked her work. He is very kind and personable. One thing to note is that he is a perfectionist. He will often want to fix cosmetic related things with your teeth, and is honest if it is necessary dental work or just aesthetic. I got a groove in my tooth filled on based on his recommendation that not only will my tooth look nicer, but it will help the aggravation he was starting to see near my gum line. I will always go back to Dr. Marsh for my future teeth cleanings and dental work. There is simply no better dentist in the area.

During the first appointment, my tooth was prepared, a mold was taken, and a temporary crown was placed. Afterward, I developed significant jaw pain and could barely open my mouth. I called the office and left a message explaining that I was in pain, but no one returned my call. When I called again, I was asked to come in to have it checked. When I saw Dr. Schneider, he literally laughed when I explained that I could barely open my mouth and told me it would go away on its own. He did prescribe a mild muscle relaxant, but it didn't help. Unfortunately, this was not a short-term issue. I had significant difficulty opening my mouth for several months and ultimately sought help from two other doctors. I eventually regained normal movement, but nine months later, my jaw still aches. I was also frustrated by the billing. Before I had any work done, the receptionist contacted my insurance company and told me my out-of-pocket cost would be $647, which I paid upfront. After the procedure, I received an additional bill for more than $194, as well as a $35 charge for a missed appointment. I missed that appointment because my jaw was still so painful that I could not comfortably go. What was most upsetting was not simply that I experienced a complication. Complications can happen. It was the way my concerns were handled. I expected my pain to be taken seriously and for the office to communicate clearly about both my treatment and my costs. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

***CAVITY FILL NIGHTMARE*** This is a long one, but worth…read morethe read. I had been a patient here for years and had lots of good experiences. That's until I let them know I was moving, and attitudes seemed to change. I needed three cavities filled and was able to squeeze in an appointment a few days before my move. It was a long and uncomfortable experience. I believe I was given too much numbing cream and was extremely numb for a good part of the day. The dental assistant even made a comment, "wow, you're really numb". When they finished, I went down the hall to use the restroom. When I looked in the mirror, I immediately noticed a change to one of my teeth. I have the front four bonded and it was clear that one had been chipped. I went back into the office and was brushed off by the lady that did the fillings. Thinking I was crazy, I left and went home. Looking again in the car and when I went home, I was certain there was a small chip and a bit of a jagged edge to my tooth. With my move around the corner, I debated on going back. That's until I tried to floss... between the teeth that were filled, I could barely get floss in and actually broke my floss trying. At this point, I knew I had to go back. When I sat down and explained to the dentist about the chip and problem getting floss in between the filled teeth, he literally shrugged his shoulders at me. ZERO apology for chipping my tooth. I understand my teeth are bonded, but this has not happened in decades, and was clearly their doing. He said my options were to file the rough edge or CHARGE ME $200 to add bonding. Yes, the bonding THEY broke, I would have to pay to get fixed. It was the most uncomfortable experience I've ever had with a business. I honestly just wanted to get out of there, so had him file it. This left me with a slightly larger gap, but I figured I would just live with it. Fast forward a couple weeks, and I'm now moved across country. One of the teeth that they filled, is now sensitive to cold and I'm going to have to find a dentist quickly to look at it and fix it. WOW. I am absolutely disgusted at the whole situation and they will not receive a penny from me, outside of what they've taken from insurance. This was a reminder, that you never really know someone or a company, until you do. I would warn anyone going here, that they may present to have your best interest in mind, until they don't.
