My review is mixed and not really sure how many stars to give, so I went with 4 because of the staff and food. We sat at the bar and the bartender was really friendly. There's a beautiful outdoor area. The only drawback which I'm not sure it really is was how long it took to get our food. It's all made in house so I really shouldn't complain. We decided to pop in and have drinks and appetizers before walking back home. Not an overall disappointing experience, however there is a need for improvement. 1. 21 ounce beer served in a margarita glass. 2. Very small paper plates for app plates. 3. We asked about wings and we're told that if we didn't want them breaded they would just be drumsticks. She did not say whole chicken drumsticks. We thought we were talking wings. Sour cream for Nachos was served in packets? Just weird. Garlic nuggets were a hit. Nachos were good. The chicken was bad just not what we thought we were ordering. Service was average. No real star moments but she got the job done. Bathrooms were nice and clean. I noticed they had an outdoor patio and went out and took a look. It to was nice. Parking in back. Busy restaurant so make sure you are in no hurry.. Lovely outdoor patio that allowed our Sheltie to sit under the table I read the Yelp reviews and we did not order any of the suggested entrees.. We were greatly disappointed.. we split a tenderloin and it was so so. We had the mushroom appetizer and the oil had a slight taste like fish. Everyone was especially hospitable.. the menu is creative, but we went Ho hum and that is what we got. If in the area again we will stop and enjoy different items and sample their specialty drinks. We Went there for lunch on a Saturday, I ordered the wings..... my lunch companion ordered the cheese burger. My companion stated the burger was good. The wings were absolutely the worst wings I've had in the surrounding area. They were small and flavorless. No meat on the bones. I promise 7-11 serves better wings out of their glass case than the wings I was served...... skip the wings! read more

Skoonerz is an interesting place. I mean there is some pretty delicious bar food. The Skoonerz fries are quite awesome. Lots of cheese and bacon which are as serious as a heart attack. And by that I mean there caloric content could seriously induce a heart attack. The afterhours bar scene however can get a little out of control. Its a little out of hand so I try not to stay too late. Because really who wants to see women in their mid-40s falling off bar stools. Its just a little much I'd say. read more

I ordered the Southern Slaw Burger it was a good patty covered in slaw and bbq pulled pork, my brother ordered the Santa Fe Pork Tenderloin sandwich covered up with cheese bacon and hot peppers. Since the pandemic, we have been ordering take out. This was our first experience with Skoonerz and we were very pleased. I ordered the chicken strip family special with fried pickles. Skoonerz is a favorite of my family. I love their "hand-patted" hamburgers. Their fries are delicious. My favorite salad on the menu is the quesadilla salad. My teen son loves their wings. They added new burgers into their menu selection, I like the freshness of the new menu choices. read more

We recently stopped by Skoonerz on a Friday night and had a wonderful meal, great waitstaff, and Steve the bartender was friendly & funny. My husband had their grilled pork loin sandwich and I was in the mood for a bacon cheeseburger, we both had fries. The food was hot and delicious and the fries were crispy. Everything was seasoned perfectly, and the "Skoonerz" beer was ice cold. We had intended to head home after our dinner but we ended up having a couple beers at the bar and the other patrons there were all friendly. Skoonerz is most definitely on our go back again list. Skoonerz Grill and Bar is a great place to grab a quick bite. I don't go to Skoonerz to drink. I'm strictly a reviewer of their restaurant. Their daily specials, like Tuesday's $2.00 hamburger and homemade French fries, are both affordable and delicious. The food is great, and the service is usually very good. It's definitely a small-town restaurant - one waitress knows my order by heart - and I love that. If you're looking for a more upscale dining experience, this isn't the place for you, but if you're looking for something casual and affordable with decent food, Skoonerz is a great place to find it. read more
