It is sweet for tequila, but only for "unsweetened tequila" meaning no added BS or sugar (which surprisingly some big labels use.) it has a profile similar but BETTER and less sweet than Casamigos repasado. It is really VERY good, not astringent and deceptively smooth so that it could be dangerous, time will tell. This place is worth a 20-30 mile detour to check out their tasting room and cave like atmosphere. It is a shame we were not at this place 40 years ago when I could have lit up a cigar. Oh well.
