Apparently, many people knew, because Karma has been around since 1970, and it's the oldest record store in Indianapolis. OK! I'm obviously late to the game. Usually, I visit record stores just to browse, but this time, I visited to find a specific album. But when I asked the kind people behind the counter to look up the album for me, I found out the album that I had in mind was actually out of print! So I could order it online, but it would cost like five hundred dollars or some obscene amount. The helpful people at Karma offered to order other albums by the same artist. But I didn't want that, and instead just browsed the selection of records that Karma. There are a lot of records here. Surely, if you're not dead set on a specific out-of-print record like me, you will find something here. They also have CDs. And the cool people at Karma are willing to order whatever you want (assuming it's not out of print), and it will show up at the shop a few days later. Man, you didn't ask, but this place smells like incense, I tell you what. Which is appropriate, I guess, because they sell incense here. I just mention in case you're sensitive to incense.

I'm sure as time goes on and they're able to get more staff on, they'll be just as awesome as the location in Castleton. I'll definitely be back soon. I've been a regular at their other location for a few years and I'm glad to see them expanding (and opening up a place closer to where I live).

The east washington store has the best selection from what I've seen. I stumbled upon the Antoine Doinel Criterion Collection box set there a while back for sixty bucks and it was in perfect condition. All of the DVDs and CDs that I've bought there have been in pristine condition. The only bad thing to say about the place is that it's PURE EVIL. Your wallet WILL leave lighter than when it came in.

This was certainly a wonderful place to stumble upon which had alot of gems inside. The vintage type writers were a really cool touch as well. Everything about this place was inviting and warm. At the cash register I came across an assortment of stickers and if you know me, you know I love stickers..Of course I grabbed a couple to complete my purchase. There is a space right by the door that has a sitting area, the leather chair was so comfortable but it was thw huge leather ottoman for me and the chess set that makes you wanna learn to play, if you do t already no how too. And for vinyl they've got local artists, popular music and old vintage stuff as well! They also have a cool corner with art in the back and in the first room they have a bunch of cool art in drawers.
