Terrible, stay away! Purchased used game console that comes standard with 30 day warranty. Purchased extended warranty for coverage out to 6 months. Unit returned in 13 days as it would not read disc. Did not have another so got a refund. Refused to refund extended warranty purchase price. We never got to the time frame! Went twice and service has been good, cannot complain. The selection of games is hit or miss to me, cause sometimes they have what i want and others they don't which is ok. Value fluctuates but for the most part it feels like you get a good deal when purchasing games. read more

I stopped here on a bit of misinformation. I had put in "CD Stores" in the Yelp search and because Yelp groups DVDs & Music together, I was given this location as the closest spot. The store is located in the fringe shops by the Walmart on South US 31. Parking is plentiful, but spaces close by are hit or miss. When I entered, I saw that the shop was arranged with long rows of organized cases. There were DVDs, Blu Ray, and Video Games of all kinds. It appears that most rows were arranged alphabetically, so it took just a bit of quick scanning to get to the titles of interest. Sadly, no CDs here. I did notice a few things while I browsed. Apparently, all the shelf items are empty, presumably to reduce shoplifting. I assume you take the cases up to the back of the store counter and they get the contents for you when you pay. I also found that there are discounts listed in the shop so that if you buy five items, you get the sixth one free. Even during a weekday, the shop was really busy, so it looks like the place has figured out how to make the best of a second hand market in the face of a growing streaming surge. This place has been "ok" for a long time, but it seems like they've been trying to make it better over the last couple of years. They painted the walls blue and their stock has significantly increased. Lots of video games, dvds, and blu-rays. But also consoles, Pop Funko figures, cell phones, game controllers, posters, and more. Prices are alright - sometimes meh and other times very good - for video games. Great deals on dvds. read more

Disc Replay is a great place to get inexpensive video games, dvds, posters and more! The store is very well organized and since they updated the look- it looks modern. The staff is generally helpful and nice. The selection really depends on what week you are going in on. They also have special sales for holidays. There is an easy reward program that just asks for your phone number and and every visit adds up to get 10, 20 or more percentage off. Only thing with the program is that it does send you texts every Friday about specials going on. They also buy products as well and give you a pretty fair price. Would recommend to buy used products here as they check for quality when purchasing items from customers. Never had a bad experience here. read more

I have been going to disc replay for about 10 years now since I moved to Indy for college. I've seen this location progress so much within that time! I'm genuinely proud of what the employees and owner have accomplished. Kudos to you! It's so much cleaner and organized. The options are greater than before. All the games in our house came from that store except for two. Store credit and the Nintendo games are my favorite aspects of this store. :) One of the employees also ordered some of the cutest plushies! I have a Luigi's Mansion Boo and Fauna from AC. All of the games are clean, and if they don't work you can return them and get it replaced. The glass cases have really improved as well. It makes items you don't even want look appealing! They have snacks, accessories, games, hats and random merchandise. :) read more

In short- Everyone is friendly, and items are fairly priced. Just don't plan on selling items quickly or taking any old systems in to sell. They didn't know how to test my two original nes consoles. Full review- I have been to this store a few times over the years since it has opened. In the passed week I have gone twice. Both times everyone has been friendly and every item I look at seems to be fairly priced compared the deals I could get somewhere else. The only downsides I have found so far is when I sell items. I brought in 3 consoles, 8 pop figures, 3 box sets, and a game. They started on my items right away but spent more time in the next hour and a half helping other people and running a second register than inspecting my items I was selling. The only other thing is the knowledge of the people they have inspecting the items. I was selling two original nes consoles which I knew worked but they told me they didn't work. I watched them test the first one and it was clear they didn't know how it was supposed to work. They plugged it in and turned it on, watched the screen flash for about 5 seconds, turned it off and unplugged it. No working with it to get the game to work like you are supposed to do. I explained that is how these consoles have always worked for everyone. The whole blowing in the cartridge and moving it in the system to get the game to work. They told me they never heard of anything like that. They were younger so I'm just assuming they have never played one before so they just need some training. read more

The line could be faster. The selection is amazing but I wish there searching methods were available and better . Movies were close to alphabetical but video games especially lower console were scattered. It's very interesting what they choose to value and why they don't. Disc will need cleaned seems odd they dont offer to do it or do it when they buy a game being sold to them. It's got sticky substance on the bottom of the disc. Great selection. Descent time. Management tried to force me to accept store credit instead of a refund when it turned out (before I received the product) the game I paid for had been heavily damaged in storage. If you buy a game here, insist to see the condition of the game disk before they charge your card! I went to purchase Punch Out for the Wii. When fetching the game from storage, the store associate noticed that the disk was covered in glue from the storage sleeves. After seeing him struggle to clean the disk, I told him I did not want it. However, my credit card had already been processed and they had no other copies of the game. The associate asked me to wait for his manager to reverse the transaction. When she finally finished helping other customers, the manager refused to refund my money. The manager insisted I had to either accept store credit or wait for them to resurface the disk. I had food melting in the car and a family member waiting for me -- I did not want to stand around waiting for them to fix a game messed up by their own inventory storage. The manager treated me like I had taken the game home despite the fact I asked for the transaction reversal before I even received the product. Only when our argument started to scare customers away did the manager finally agree to refund the money back to my card. I tried to be calm and reasonable. I understand manager's position. I understand the policy for refunds with store credit, but you can't treat a customer like this when they hadn't even left the store. It's completely unreasonable to take a customer's money and then expect them to compromise when it turns out the product they paid for was severely damaged in storage. I'm disappointed. The store attracted me because of its great selection of pre-owned games. I wanted this store to be my go-to for vintage games. But after this incident, I doubt I will ever come back. read more

this is the only Discreplay i go to. but more than once have they literally STOLEN from me, or broke my games and gave them back saying they couldn't take them because conditions when it was in one piece before handing it over. I'm sure breaking the games was an accident but its the lying to me that made me want to leave a review finally. read more

I went in here to trade in some Atari 2600 consoles (one complete in box), some Atari games (most with manuals), NES and Sega games. I was told to leave my number and they would call me, as they had about an hour's worth of trades to look at ahead of mine. I left and never received a call. I went back 4 hrs later, and they originally were unable to find either the box I brought everything in and the box they they had set aside what they were taking in. Once 3 people had looked around for 5 mins, they finally found both boxes. They ripped the box the Atari was in, told me to just "give them the manuals" (they wanted to take the carts, but not the manuals "we don't really give any money for manuals"), and then really just gave me bottom dollar on all the games they ended up taking. When I got home, I realized that they took the controller from the console I didn't sell. They didn't have it in their "here's what we're taking box", nor was it on the receipt of things sold. I used to go here when I lived in the area, but in the years since, their service has gone downhill. I will not be going back and will be warning people of the service here. I'd almost be more willing to just take my stuff to Goodwill, at least then it could be used to find job training. read more

This place is OK, although I've heard talks of other stores being better run and having more variety. I took some equipment in here to sell and the girl who initially took my things was very polite. She estimated my wait time to be an hour and it took less. They gave me $200 for the equipment, which surprised me; they are notorious for giving around 30% of the value for items. (This obviously has to do with making a profit which I can appreciate.) That being said, it's important to understand that they don't accept just ANY merchandise you bring in. I had a tablet they would not take. I asked why and the girl's response was: "I don't know. I didn't test the equipment." The Tablet worked fine and it irked me a little; I wouldn't be there if I didn't need the cash. You don't have to gamble, though; reach out to them on Facebook and verify they're accepting items that you're hoping to sell. Answers are generalized so it might not be exact but it will give you an idea of what you should or should not take. The store itself is somewhat disorganized and has an odd smell; it's also largely employed by teenagers and 20-somethings. Customer service can seem a bit lax but I've never personally encountered any outlandishly rude employees. They've had some hidden gems in here a time or two so I would definitely say it's worth a visit to see what's in store. read more

Out of the disc replays that I have gone to this is by far the worst store to go to. For example: Me and my boyfriend purchased a game for almost $50 and they gave us a game that came with two discs shoved into one case that cannot hold both so one is falling out of the disc holder and getting scratched up in the case in the process. Not even close to being worth $50 when all you're doing is selling a game that's going to be torn up before we even get home. Plus this disc replay has horrible prices for purchasing games off people. Me and my boyfriend brought in a bunch of new Xbox games worth around a total of $100 minimal, and they were only going to pay us $30 for them. When one of the games we had purchased in that entire stack was worth $30 alone. Thats basically handing this place a stack of games for free to turn around and resell for half, if not more, of the price they're worth and make even more money. I'd much rather drive an hour away and go to the disc reply in Columbus than go to purchase from this store again. read more

I'm commenting only as a buyer - people who trade in games and other things may have had different experiences - but this is what I've experienced. Their selection is limited due to it being a resale place, but even their large collection lacks some really basic movies! I always come in here looking for three things: Star Trek, Godzilla, and a Disney movie names Heavyweights. With the exception of the last one, they should be easy to find, but I have never seen a single TOS movie go through here, nor the 50's-70's Godzilla movies. The newest Pokemon games aren't to be found in here either, which is reasonable again because of the fact that they're new and no one has traded them in yet. That doesn't stop it from being a little disappointing. Even so, they do have a really nice selection of old old old game cartridges for just about every old platform. Staff can vary on their knowledge and their customer service as a whole. read more

Awful service. Called ahead with a question and was given a very short annoyed response. Didn't think much of it and went to the store to look around. Went to the front desk and asked if they had a specific system, was once again given a short response like they were annoyed. I'd like to point out that there were no customers in line or being helped, and the 3 worked were just standing around talking. I went ahead and just left, felt very unwelcome and probably won't be coming back here for a while. Highly recommend going to the GameStop next door instead, a lot more welcoming and helpful over there. read more

Tons of movies for $5 or less. They also have video games, but I could care less about that. I've been in this store twice now and have always walked out with a stack of movies. Godfather trilogy for $13 or Killer Klowns form Outer Space for $4!? Their latest promo is buy 5 get the 6th free and you can mix and match. The employees are friendly and helpful. The store is small, but everything is really well organized. The stock is alphabetized; dvds, blue ray, games, cds, and tv series. They sell gaming consoles, accessories, and a few flat screens. Another added bonus, they buy here and you can take the cash or a higher in-store credit. read more

I really like this place! They not only sell new releases, but they sell games as old as Atari. They also sell movies and electronics, and I've been able to find some pretty hard to find gems from time to time. Their selection is lacking with certain consoles, but it's still worth stopping in. They also sell Nintendo plushies and video game/movie action figures, which is pretty awesome. I come in here all the time just to see the new additions! read more

I live this place. They had the Criterion Collection Rushmore for 5 bucks! And it was like new. So awesome. Plus i've gotten a lot of video games for around ten dollars each & a Phantom Planet DVD for five dollars. I've never traded anything, though, so I can't comment on that. read more

Don't know what happened to the staff here, had no issues in the past. Not very knowledgeable about the products they sell. As a retro-game collector, there is a difference between the first print run of a game and a "Platinum/Greatest Hits" version. Found 2 the same game that had the discs swapped and just wanted to swap them back and purchase the game. There shouldn't have been any problems with this, why the hassle? read more

Every time i walk into this place i prepare myself to be talked down to like an idiot. This place has the worst customer service around. Staff are rude, impatient and unfriendly. One day i was selling several dvds and games, and I was told it would be about 20 minutes, which is fine. I return 45 minutes later, i kindly ask for my offer, and the man-child at the counter rudely (RUDELY) replied "well, i dont know your name". Is that a proper response? NO. A proper response would be "can I have your name"? I feel as if the owners of this place tell their employees to be as rude the want to be, because the customer will come back anyway. Maybe they think its cool or edgy to treat their customers this way. They mess around on their phones and computers and only help you when they absolutely have to. Customer service here is on par with pretty much any tow truck company around. Avoid this place at all cost. Buy/sell your games online for better deals and dont deal with these jerks. read more

One day, I purchased a game from this store. The game worked fine until the first save point, when I try to play the save game the game would not load. I retried it several times, but had the same problem. Two days later, I brought in the game with receipt for an exchange. I was told they did not have another copy, but they could buy back the game. I asked If I could get store credit, because the store policy stated I could do that instead. The clerk said he would give me store credit if it didn't work in their system. He saw that the game started a NEW game it worked fine. I tried to reiterate that the game didn't work from my SAVE point and that it worked fine from NEW game. The clerk still refused to give me store credit for my defective game. Now, I've wasted money on a defective game. I believe if a policy states something, the store should honor it. I was a frequent shopper at this Disc Replay, but with this recent issue it has caused me to lose faith in this store's customer service. As a result I will no longer shop at Disc Replay, I would rather pay a little more for a game, just to receive better quality customer service. I will no longer refer friends and family to this or any Disc Replay. read more
