Absolutely delish! True Chicago food haven't had this since I left illinois. I will be back again…read moreand again. Had the jerk heaven fries and it was enough for now and later. True Chicago style.

I have mixed feelings about this establishment so, I put it in this format…read more.. Our food order: First, what is the heaven option, because it sounded good? Jerk Steak, Chicken and (3) shrimp. We ordered the Jerk Chicken Nachos with and without jalapeños and a Ground beef taco combo. Food review: This was our second time ordering from this restaurant, unfortunately, I am still not a fan. We ordered the special-beef tacos combo which included two tacos, fries and a canned soda. Three Jerk nachos no combo offered at the price (2 jerk chicken, 1 heaven [steak, chicken shrimp]). For the cost of the meal, the portion we received were sadly disappointing. We were expecting a big bed of plain nacho chips, instead we received a small portion of Dorito like flavored chips, soggy with an unidentified flavored sauce and an overlay of a few more chips (about the amount of a convenient store size) and the jerk meats. Instead of a strong jerk flavoring, you get these added salty flavors, diminishing the actual Jerk flavor in the meal. I ordered mild meals which came with jalapeños and sour cream. Their two taco are charged the same, whether you want it as a combo with fries and beverage or without them. I ordered over the phone and arrive within a good timeframe to have a hot meal. Ours was barely warm. The fries were half cooked and soggy. For the same price, driving two minutes further down the street with twice as much food we could have just eaten at the Mexican restaurant and had leftovers. Different flavors but well worth the money spent. Service: We were greeted in the parking lot, and I only assumed the person owned or worked there he was standing near a nice outdoor, uncovered patio. The parking lot was not lined, but this is in the country-no shock there. Person behind counter did not greet us, until they first took a call in order, and went to the kitchen to put in the order, and finished doing something at the counter. This was the person who took my call in order. The entire order was visible upon arriving, but took some time to checkout with no one in front of us. While waiting I took a few pictures for the review. Hours: This establishment was open two hours before we ordered. Their store hours being 4-10pm. Atmosphere: The restaurant was dimly lit and overly scented. The dining room had tv's for viewing, a bar area, wall bench seating and table seating. The ambiance is probably better observed over the course of a dinning in experience. For carrying out, it was a bit dim. The door was very heavy. I personally, am not likely to return, anytime soon. I was told that regular menu items are better than the nachos. If you want to enjoy something different from the surrounding places, give this place a try.

It had that subtle jerk-style kick that made every bite even more desirable. The cabbage was well cooked, the rice and peas were flavorful, and the plantains were a solid addition to the meal. The portion size was excellent, especially for the price, making the value stand out even more. Customer service was also excellent, which always adds to the experience. For a mall location, this spot really impressed, but honestly, the food is good enough that it deserves a full storefront of its own. If you want a taste that feels much closer to the islands without leaving the U.S., Little Jamaica is definitely worth the stop. Here is a shorter Yelp-style version too: Little Jamaica has some of the closest flavors to Barbados I have found on this side of the U.S. The curry goat was tender, flavorful, and had a nice jerk-style kick that made it even more appealing. The cabbage, rice and peas, and plantains were all very good. Portion size was great, pricing was solid, and the customer service was excellent. For being in the mall, this place really stands out. Honestly, the food is good enough that it deserves its own storefront.

This place has a warm and inviting feel, that makes it feel like home. Since I was little indecisive on what to opt for, I decided on two entrees. This included the jerk chicken Alfredo & the Catfish and grits. Immediately, I noticed how large the portions are (which is a plus). As it relates to both entrees, the catfish and grits was pretty decent. In my honest opinion the star was the perfectly seasoned and crisp fish (grits were ok) but, I would definitely order again. The jerk chicken Alfredo was quite tasty. It was perfectly seasoned and jammed packed with flavor. (I would only suggest an extra side of Alfredo, as I love a creamy Alfredo pasta. ) Not pictured, I ordered the Berry Me & Jolly Rancher juice. These were a much better and exclusive option instead of a traditional punch packed with sugar. All in all, I would definitely revisit Trap Fusion again.
