I did a review over three years ago that after many visits I had become disappointed because they had changed the way they spiced the crab legs. I did not go again for a while. Now I regularly again. It is wonderful and cooked to perfection. My favorite is the crab legs but the "Casey Jones" is awesome as well. It has a generous portion of shrimp along with potatoes, corn and sausage. So glad to find this seafood spot near Oxford. This was our first time trying it so we weren't sure what to expect especially during the pandemic. I would like to make a few things known from my experience. They are only doing to-go orders at this time, no dining inside. Also, when I pulled up I realize there was two lines one side for online orders and the other line was to place ordered. Once we made our way through the line to place the order the young man informed us that if we wanted to order crab legs we have to do so online. We could have saved ourselves about 20 minutes if we knew that ahead of time. Not a big deal but now I know for next time. I ordered crab legs and they had some add on options of corn, taters, sausage, etc. Everything was very tasty and the people are friendly. Will definitely be back. read more

We go to this place just about every week since we discovered it about 3 months ago. The "Tsunami" is what we order and it serves 2 people. It has shrimp, crawfish (in season), crab legs, sausage, corn, potatoes and hot tamales. What a treat for us. We love the food and they have other choices and combinations too but this combo is our favorite. You can order everything by itself too. It is only open 3 days a week and it gets crowded after 5 but they serve you really quickly and that is great too. read more

Great seafood place and they know how to cook it correctly. Off the beaten path in water valley MS, this is definitely a place to eat some great food. The restaurant is a little cramped seat wise but you can always sit outside where they also have their bathroom and water station. They bring in live music during the week which makes it a "happening" place. Apparently a lot of UofM Rebel students frequent the place also. Oxford is 10 miles north. Good meal combos and wonderfully friendly workers. I had the crab legs and they were perfectly cooked and sweet. They bring their goods in from the shore daily. This place is in business by the skin of its teeth. NO crawfish tonight (there was a rush last night, and apparently they don't know enough about their business to anticipate this). NO draught beer tonight (of course, the brewery is WAY across the street, so it's obviously impossible to get more, even for the Friday night crowd). Then they have the audacity to request a tip on the credit card bill (you have to stand in line to order) when the staff seems to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING aside from take your money and give you your food through the window. You even have to get your own plastic utensils. Finally, as stated in the previous review, the grill and grill master are no more. I'm definitely done with this place for a while. If I do ever go back, I'll post an update. But don't lose sleep waiting for it. I think I'll be just as lackadaisical as the staff at Crawdad Hole are. read more

Whatever mojo they put in the seasoning cast its spell on me!! I stumbled across this place from a small ad in Oxford's Local Voice. Online and FB reviews were good. I had to taste it for myself. I had the half-pound grilled crab legs with a sausage, small corn cob, and couple of red potatoes that cost me about $15. The grilled crab legs are slathered in this magical seasoning that will have you licking your fingers AND the shell no matter who else is around! I'll definitely be back. I have to try the smoked kabobs, cajun boiled shrimp, and fresh-squeezed lemonade next time. The vintage shaved ice machine was not cooperating so I missed out on a snow cone. The service is very friendly and warm, and your fellow customers make you feel right at home, too. The restaurant serves national and local brands of beer. Seating is outside, but they have fans to help keep it comfortable. Live music Thursday nights and first Fridays. I went again the next week and had both the grilled and cajun-boiled shrimp. This has always been one of our favorite spots to eat crawfish and seafood. Until the other night we went and there were a couple of bad crawfish in the batch we got. We wanted to let them know so just so they would know. We were not trying to complain, only trying to make sure they didn't serve that batch again incase there were more in there. The owner came out and started eating the crawfish out of our bowl saying how fresh they were and he had just gotten them in from Louisiana. How he could just finish them off for us, all while standing over my husband eating our crawfish out of our bowl! So my husband said he could finish them if he wanted to but to please not eat over him. He could take them with him. The owner then told us that he owned the table and chairs we were sitting in and we could get off his property. We were shocked! Like, really??
