    Crab legs!

Located on main street Water Valley, Miss., in the old Jenkin's Garage, this little gem of a seafood joint is a find for small town Mississippi. Water Valley in general, however, is a gem. With a burgeoning art scene, this small town has become home to a new wave of 30-somethings, ready to help it blossom. Crawdad Hole, owned by musician Justin Showah and his wife is a respite of funky soul music, vintage flair with a killer po-boy. The food is rightly priced. The menu is heavy on the seafood side, but...well that's the point. You can get everything fresh - crab legs, shrimp and crawfish - when in season, fresh from the Gulf. They've got a wicked hometown brew on tap, local brewery Yalobusha Brewing's first ale which is light, slightly hoppy and bright. Perfect paired with fresh seafood. The prices aren't too high, but average. You can get a can of soda, beer or... SNO CONE. Hello. With just five stop lights in this little haven, drive slow and keep your eyes peeled for this tasty eatery.

What a great unique place. We enjoyed a nice cold beer from the local brewery along with a fantastic gumbo and tamales. It was all done in an old converted garage. They are only open a few days a week and you can only get the Po boys on Fri and Sat.

Great seafood place and they know how to cook it correctly. Off the beaten path in water valley MS, this is definitely a place to eat some great food. The restaurant is a little cramped seat wise but you can always sit outside where they also have their bathroom and water station. They bring in live music during the week which makes it a "happening" place. Apparently a lot of UofM Rebel students frequent the place also. Oxford is 10 miles north. Good meal combos and wonderfully friendly workers. I had the crab legs and they were perfectly cooked and sweet. They bring their goods in from the shore daily. Recommend you try this place out!

We load up on the Casey Jones Combo when we go. It's always up to par. It comes with shrimp, potatoes, corn, and sausage.

I ordered the LandShark rolls, Boudin egg rolls, Bayou Mac, and a southern-style catfish. Let me just say... this spot was VERY good. Now the real star of the show? The LandShark rolls Soft, cheesy, packed with crawfish -- man... these were dangerous lol. I'm almost glad I didn't come here earlier during my trip because I would've been eating these every single day. No question. The Bayou Mac was also on point -- rich, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering again. Honestly, I had no complaints about anything I tried. The restaurant was pretty packed, which tells you everything you need to know. But if you're in a rush, they've got a food truck-style pickup outside, so you can grab your food and keep it moving. If you're anywhere near Oxford or Mississippi State and craving seafood, this is a must-try spot. Nothing but positive vibes from me -- I'd definitely come back. Thumbs up all around

We came in to taste the local flair while on an Ole Miss college tour. The wait was lengthy however you could still stand at the bar and have a drink while you waited. We ordered a round of beers and checked out the place and the people. The bartenders were very nice, a lot of southern hospitality in this town. We were finally seated and ordered a seafood platter and a few orders of seafood gumbo. The gumbo was absolutely delicious. Shrimp that tasted amazing and sausage with great flavor. Rice cooked perfectly and overall a great dish. The seafood platter in my opinion, not worth the money. It was okay, but nothing spectacular. Coming from vegas the bar is set high on dining out as we have the best of the best in our city when it comes to places to eat. While this was a fun place to hang, it's expensive for a college town. The ahi tuna nachos at this place are absolutely amazing and a must try. Best thing I ate there. A ton of Ahi and a huge portion. There was more ahi than chips. Clean place, fair service at the tables, waitress delivered 4 entrees and saint bring the 11 year olds dinner. He sat for 15 minutes and I had to hunt her down to ask where the kids food was. Serve everyone at the same time, it's rude not to. This was a big annoyance for me as the child sits with no food while everyone else is eating for 15-20 minutes.

We arrived at 5:30 and we were told that it would be about an hour to wait, but were seated in about 25 minutes. Our waitress Sarah was the cutest, sweetest little thing. She was happy to answer all our questions and checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. We started with the Crawfish bread and it was AMAZING!!!! It was my favorite part of the whole night. Think of a bread that is perfectly soft, but also has a perfect light crunch on the outside and then cut it in half and top it with a yummy creamy cheesy crawfish dip and pop it in the oven. It was sooooo good! For the main course we tried their special of the day; Blackened Redfish Thibodaux. It is a blackened redfish topped with crispy fried onions and crawfish etouffee served over popcorn rice. My husband devoured the whole thing. He said it had an amazing flavor. We also ordered the 3 piece blackened catfish with fries and hush puppies. The fish had a perfect Cajun seasoning flavor along with the butter it was cooked in and is served with lemon to squeeze on top. It was really tasty as well. Don't skip out on the fries though, because they are just as good as everything else. We loved them too! We ended the night with their homemade pecan praline bread pudding and ice cream. While we did enjoy this dish, it's not the best one we have ever had. The sauce is a little thicker like gravy and we would have preferred more of a true caramel sauce. All in all we both agreed that it was worth the drive from the Memphis area and we will definitely be back!! Give them a try if you are ever near Hernando.
