Highly recommend Skyler for your magic entertainment. I couldn't of been happier with his professionalism and the way he interacted with children and adults. I was looking for close up magic and a small stage show as well, however did not want "clown magic". Spoke with Skyler and advised it was for a 10yr girl's birthday party and the magic I was looking for was cards and close up, not just for children as there would be many adults interested in watching as well. I also mentioned that these kids love magic and always have cards in their hands. Skyler definitely brought his "A" game out. He had us all, including adults shaking our heads in disbelief. Skyler's close up magic was mesmerizing and when I say close up... I mean he had about 10+ people (adults/children) around him at any given time a matter of inches away! Skyler is a true magician and kept everyone engaged and included in his act. Each trick had an element of surprise and the perfect length so that he was able to preform multiple illusions. I was blown away by the way he was able to silence a group of 20+ kids after performing an act because their faces showed them gasped by amazement. And looking around at the other parents only to be able to read lips as they were saying "whaaaat". I wish I could list all the acts I hope he performs for you as they were all amazing and must see. There were so many favorites but his close up magic... outstanding. The best comment of the day was made by a father at the party... who was watching Skyler like a hawk to see if he could figure anything out... he couldn't. He said "I believe in magic now, even though this (referring the Skylers performance) is unbelievable!! This guy absolutely blew us away! We were attending the Sony Headquarters holiday party and while cruising around the event people kept talking about this magician that "you must find him and demand he show you some magic." Up to the task my friend and I explored the event to find him dazzling other guests. We patiently waited for him to finish and approached him to humbly request he show us something amazing. He started off with a rubber band trick that I'm still scratching my head on.. I complimented his slight of hand and he looked at me and said "Oh, well perhaps you'll like this trick even more, its my last trick of the evening" Long story short I can't figure out how he got my friends signature on his card to the backside of my card. This guy is the real deal. Super friendly, incredibly entertaining. I can't wait to plan an event and have him be the focal point of the show. What can I say except this was a huge treat! We found Sky King Magic at Villa Capri Trattoria in Poway because he does Magic Mondays there at Dinner time. We booked him to do a private magic show for my boyfriend's 12 year old daughter and her friends as a special treat for Christmas. It was so fun to watch them try to figure out his tricks but not be able to. They were amazed and loved it. It was a lot of up close magic that really leaves you scratching your head. We booked him another time for our Christmas party. He walked around and did magic for about 50 adults. It was great entertainment and everyone loved it. Such a bonus! Skyler would be a great addition to any party, wedding, event, gathering etc. He is also a member of the Magic Castle in Los Angeles.
