We reserved a cabana, which was a great decision, especially when the rain came later in the day, as it kept us covered. There was plenty of seating available around the pool and in grassy shaded areas away from the pool. Bathrooms and showers were also accessible if you wanted to change clothes. One suggestion I would make is to have a more diverse music playlist. While the venue advertised that pop music would be played, it didn't always match the preferences of everyone there, especially given the diverse group of guests in attendance. Also, make sure to bring your ID; otherwise, you won't be allowed in. I had to make a trip back home to retrieve mine, even with a valid photo ID. They also have cabanas to rent, but the chairs and hammocks are free of charge and first come first serve.

I was searching for a location for my birthday celebration at the turn of new year. Instead, I found a Sunday brunch location. I think I'll bring my friends over to enjoy the show one Sunday morning. If it was summer, I'd come next day to take a soak in the pristine pool. Unfortunately, it was freaking cold in Houston in January. I stayed at the bar instead. I can't wait to come back in the summer.

At that price point, one would expect the staff to have the appropriate level of experience and have a reasonable level of natural people skills. The fact the employees may be inexperienced / young / niave is certainly not justification for the customer / member to have any bad experience. It only reveals that management has made bad hiring decisions and has neglected to train the staff. Overall, the facilities and equipment are good and the place is clean. The people part can be less than adequate.

There is also a Zipline style monkey bar that is really fun for that age child. The rest of the park caters more toward younger children. One valuable thing to know before you go is that half the park is sandy so plan shoes & clean up accordingly. The best thing about this park is that just outside the entrance to the park are restrooms & a filtered water fountain bottle filler. Very convenient!

As much as I like the view at times, this park leaves more to be desired. A lower rating would be in store but the disc golfing and dog friendly environment make up for it.

If I lived in Houston, I would sign up for this addition to my members. Brian P was working in the recovery center and was so knowledgeable about the equipment (to include the red light therapy and the Cryo chamber). Knowing I didn't live in the area so I couldn't sign up did not stop him from sharing so much info about the health benefits. For those in the Houston area, I highly recommend checking this LA Fitness out. Make sure to ask for Brian to see the recovery center!

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR PRT…read more It's been a complete nightmare and I feel like an idiot for giving them the benefit of the doubt for so long to make things right (failing to freeze after a disabling injury, lack of communication, showing up for numerous classes with no trainers, saying we could use the facility outside of training but then not allowing it, charging when they said they would freeze, not having staffing or times available that I ensured were available before signing up, and more). They also double charged my boyfriend for training for MONTHS and never made it right. Both the gym and corporate offices don't respond consistently or call you back when they say they will. A lot of the equipment in the normal part of the gym is rusting and the padding is torn. They need more of popular machines like leg extensions. I've gone specifically to use machines for recovery from surgery and was never able to because they're forever occupied.
