One of the most crappy dog parks I've ever seen and been to. No water for drinking/playing, no grass to run in, small... I can go on. It's just no nice...

I went to this park this morning for the 38th Annual K-9 Fun Run & Walk. It was to raise money for the Houston Humane Society. I can't think a better cause. So many dogs are in need of home, medicine attention & love. I was invited by one of my yelp friends. I was in heaven-- so many dogs! I wanted to pet them all. (And I tried too) The turn out was wonderful. The weather could not have been more perfect for this event. Sunny, nice breeze. The park has a nice track to walk around and the park looked well maintained. All and all --- great company, great park, great charity, and love all the dogs!!!! I hope they raised a ton of money for all these animals in need.

Dog park is kept in good condition. Visitors do a good job at following the rules which helps keep everything looking nice.

This park must have once been an awesome place for your dogs..... well it isn't anymore!!! Poop everywhere No agility No grass It's disgusting and sad. The park alone doesn't even look kept up! I would save the time and go to bill archer!

White Oak Bayou lots of green space a frisbee golf course, skateboard ramps, a pool and bike trails. It is well maintained. More parking and less of a crowd than, Buffalo Bayou, Memorial Park, and Herman Park. I come here frequently as I live within walking distance. I walk an 80# Pitbull and never have any problems. All these activities coexist easily there are restaurants close by.

The people seemed friendly, but I got bit by someone's pit after they had leashed him and I was trying to guide my dog away from them. No apology. No check in. They just left after what happened. I was bleeding lol.... Its a small injury and rather than press charges and someone lose their dog I'll deal with it, but they handled that horribly and had it been my dog biting them I feel like things would've been different.

    Small dog park.

First dog park I've ever been to so it's hard to compare to anything else but my experience was a good one. Awesome that they had a section for the small dogs and since I was there for 2 hours I met some very nice people.

My dogs enjoying the shade at the dog park!

Review for TCJ Dog Park (a part of the greenway) TC Jester is actually my favorite park. I was going to Danny Jackson and when I tried TCJ I noticed that my dogs liked it a lot more. First, there's a lot more shade due to mature trees in the area. Also, the ground cover is mulch which provides stimulation. The area has more squirrels and birds which my dogs love to chase. There are shaded areas with benches. The people at the park are mostly from the local neighborhood which does give the group of regulars a different flavor than the folks at Danny Jackson. I think TCJ tends to have a more mature crowd in general

Really not much to it. The walking trails are pretty! But the actual dog park part just wasn't what I expected.

This is a long review because I've worked on it for a long time…read more.. If you asked me to pick one place that defines Houston, it would be Buffalo Bayou Park. I've spent countless hours here running and riding my bike. Some days it's a quick evening jog, other days it's a long ride from Eleanor Tinsley Park toward Memorial Park or connecting through the trails to the University of Houston. No matter how many times I come back, it never gets old. The park has been the backdrop for so many of my favorite Houston memories. I came here for Free Press Summer Fest back in the day, Freedom Over Texas fireworks, the Art Car Parade, Pride celebrations, marathons, half marathons, 5Ks, and even the Texas Independence Relay. It's one of those places that feels completely different depending on the day. Sometimes it's quiet and peaceful, and other times it's filled with thousands of people celebrating everything that makes Houston unique. It also reminds me of some of the city's hardest moments. I'll never forget walking down after Hurricane Harvey and seeing the bayou swollen all the way up to Allen Parkway. It was hard to comprehend just how much water had moved through here. Seeing the park recover over time has been a reminder of Houston's resilience. One of my favorite discoveries has been the Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern. It's such a unique experience and a reminder that there's always something new to explore, even after years of visiting the park. What I love most is how connected everything feels. The trails weave through the city with incredible downtown views, public art, green spaces, bridges, and plenty of places to stop and take it all in. Whether you're training for a race, out for a casual walk, riding your bike, or just enjoying the skyline, there's a reason people keep coming back. Buffalo Bayou Park isn't just another park to me. It's where I've made memories, challenged myself, celebrated with the city, and found a place to unwind. Every visit reminds me why I love living in Houston. I already can't wait for my next run, and I hope to see you out there.

It's so clean and I absolutely love all the wild flowers this time of year. This is one of the best place to bike in the inner loop with the separated biking and pedestrian trails. Connects to the heights and all major neighborhoods. A lovely place to get a walk or bike ride in on the evenings or weekends! There are quite a few manicured grass spots for picnics or to bring a book, as well as shaded areas. I have always felt very safe at this park. A 'not so hidden' gem as parking can be a little tough, but leads to not very busy trails. I never realized how beautiful this park is compared to the days I would only drive by!

This park is small compared to Hermann Park, but its just the right size for kids. They have ping pong, a golf station, few food trucks and climbing stations. The Michael Jackson playlist serenading us from the Gaspacho's eatery was nostalgic. Even though the Sunset Bingo MC was difficult to hear while seated on the grass, the staff were more than willing to rearrange some tables to accommodate the growing crowd. On my way to the (super clean!) restroom I I saw that they had a reading room, which made me instantly fall in love! They also have an arts & craft station with materials free to use. There were many families with young kids enjoying the water playground areas. The fact that they have family reservations available lets me know that this park is well aware of its draw and appeal. Birthdays? reunions? book a spot! The nearby restaurants and easy parking are major pluses. Levy Park has a packed calendar of events so I'm bound to be back before the summer ends.
