One thing I found cool was they have "sand" hazards which are just tan colored sections of the hole, not actual sand. But these tan areas seemed to have a higher resistance to the ball which adds a nice layer of difficulty to the hole. Topography wise, this is where the course falls flat...Literally. There is not a lot of terrain to the course such as caves or hills to climb. Overall this is a pretty nice course and I'll likely find myself playing here again!

In addition to the new stairs, large sandbags were added to the beach over the winter to prevent further erosion. Douglas Beach is on Lakeshore Drive in Douglas, about one mile south of Saugatuck's Oval Beach. It has free parking along the street (limited to about 20 cars) and modern bathrooms. Pets are not allowed.
