This place was miserable. They do NOT honor reservations. The front office is a rundown trailer with foreign help. The help does not seem appreciative of the business they're receiving and when you're paying 2x as much money to skydive in cape cod for the oh so terrific views, you'd think the extra 100 dollars would go toward some outstanding customer service. Wrong. They were rude. If you still decide to skydive here anyway and have a noon reservation, make sure you get there when they open because this place runs as first come first serve. I drove three hours to get there, waited for 5 hours to go skydiving, then clouds rolled in and i was unable to go. Good luck. read more

Horrible customer service. I never leave bad reviews if I'm slightly unhappy about the service., but this is beyond terrible. I understand that every business might have issues and it's always helpful when management is capable to talk and settle things in a nice manner, but no luck with this place. If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. My nightmare started in 2014, I bought 2 tickets for Valentine's Day for my boyfriend and I, they had a special discounted price going on $199 per ticket. So we were excited to use it the following summer, and when I contacted them to make a reservation they said they were having some troubles with the permit/license so we couldn't make a reservation for a while. They were saying they couldn't operate without the permit. Then the summer ended, in fall they were not open because of weather conditions, which was still fine at that point. So we had to wait for them to open next season. Next year I started calling them, it was very difficult to get in touch and very frustrating to the point that I didn't want to skydive anymore. That experience has to be always enjoyable and I just didn't feel even safe anymore to do it with them. At some point by the end of summer 2015 I managed to get in touch with someone over the phone and asked to get a refund because I didn't want to use their services anymore. They said ok, they'll get in touch with me and settle the situation. I've been waiting patiently for a long time and still nothing from them. It was very unpleasant to be in a situation to beg some business to be refunded for a very bad experience so I was forgetting about it for a few months at a time and then trying to fix it again. So another year passed...I called and emailed again...zero feedback. Now is January 2018, it's been almost 4 years and I still haven't received any information from them about money. So I basically paid them $400 for nothing. They seem to be very comfortable keeping customer's money that never enjoyed their service. Skydive Chatham is not worth your time. They have an extremely misleading refund/cancellation policy. You are required to pay at least a $50 deposit to reserve a time slot. Skydive Chatham does not disclose that the deposit is fully non-refundable even if the skydive is cancelled in Skydive Chatham's discretion due to weather and you are willing to show up. Massachusetts unfair and deceptive trade practice laws requires a business to disclose such a policy in a conspicuous manner prior to consummating any transaction. Skydive Chatham hides this policy inconspicuously within their website and their manager Nancy (as stated by the previous review) is insulting and demeaning when trying to obtain a refund. It is not worth your time dealing with this company. Skydive Chatham steals your money and is an enormous disappointment. I will be contesting this charge with my credit card company and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I will second the above comment. I scheduled a dive with a $100 deposit over the phone. They told me I needed to give 48 hour notice to cancel/reschedule. I cancelled and they refused to give me a refund. I spoke with Nancy and told her that I can't afford it now and need to save for a wedding. Her comment was "too bad, you're not getting your money back." Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Rude, heartless and deceiving. There are other places that you could skydive other than here. Don't waste your time with this company. read more

Ha! Yelp's 2-star means "Meh. I've experienced better." No, I've never sky dived before, but I know there's better stuff out there! I gave them two stars - one for the AMAZING views of the Cape. The other, for bringing me back on ground safely! We, a group of 5 decided to dive with them. This was a full price (no social deals) trip with all the trimmings - photos, DVDs and all! The good: 1. The staff is friendly, even though the 10 pages of paperwork mentions death in every legal sentence. 2. The views are amazing - on a clear day you can see all the way to Provincetown. I'm not going to comment on the thrill of the free fall, because that's what EVERY sky diving experience provides. The bad: 1. The free fall barely lasted a 7-8 seconds and the parachute popped open. I'd rather free fall for a few seconds more and then just land. I am not a fan of roller coasters and therefore the choreographed twists and turns of the parachute didn't impress me! 2. There is NO dedicated camera toting jumper. The camera (two, actually) is a super wide angle one strapped to the left wrist of the tandem guy. So, you'll only see good shots of you when you are on the ground, ascending to 10K feet, or in a relatively stable situation. Apparently the camera(s) are on timer so they take pictures every second. That leads to my third gripe... 3. The $90 you pay for the pictures contains ~325 pictures, but most of them are CRAP because the tandem guy is busy maneuvering on the way down. 3. The $90 you pay for the video gets you a 7-ish minute clip which just seems like the ~325 pictures blended together... or maybe the pictures come from the video stills! (actually, if you get the pictures+video, it's $120, so that's $60 each!) Overall, the free fall is the only part I savored, but comparing the pictures and the video they make to the ones from another outfitter that my colleagues went with in Northern MA, and the height they went to (resulting in a longer fall), with a dedicated cameraman, for a marginally cheaper price (even without a Groupon), I'd say we didn't get value for our money. But hey, we saw the arm of the Cape as we free fell! read more

I organized a group of seven and we went last weekend. I booked the reservation online. I don't understand the complaints about not getting the deposit back- it is VERY clear on the site that it is a non-refundable deposit. Everyone in my group had an amazing time! Several members of my group (myself included) were very nervous and the staff was professional and understanding. I grew up on Cape, but seeing it from 15,000 feet was like seeing it for the first time. I can't think of a more beautiful place to jump! read more

Amazing!! Decided (after watching Top Chef Masters) that if a bunch of chefs could jump I could do it too. So for my 55th birthday I treated my husband and my 3 20-something kids to sky dive over Cape Cod. What a fabulous experience! The staff were super friendly and really helped us to relax in a stressful situation - perhpas some people might not get their humor - but we LOVED the staff! They were professional and clearly exceptional and well trained. We couldn't go out on the Monday we were scheduled because of the weather but they got us up FIRST thing the very next day. They were very considerate that my son had to leave for work and got him up first. We had an 11:30 appointment and all 5 of us were down by 2:00. (they take 2 at a time) The whole experience was WELL WORTH the money. Yes, it's not cheap! But hey, it's called supply and demand. There were lines of people waiting to jump because this is the BEST place to jump. One more thing, our pictures where INCREDIBLE! It's well worth it to pay for the pictures to get incredible pix of you free falling from 10,000 feet and then floating over the coast of Cape Cod. My kids, husband and I are STILL talking about it. Thanks to Jimmy and his crew from The Dougherty family. We will be back next year- I can't wait to do it again. read more

The people who run this place are absolute jerks. The instructors are very full of themselves, and it shows! They are unprofessional, and rude. I will never go back to this place again! It is located in a random field, their parking lot is all dirt and sand, their office is in an old, run-down trailer and it just seemed sketchy from the start. You'd think with all the money they're raking in from their customers maybe they'd be able to afford something a little better. You have to go into the office trailer in order to sign in and get all set up to jump. This trailer looks and smells like it was taken right from the 1970s; shag rugs, wood paneling and the smell was just awful. You're greeted by a not-so-pleasant woman who walks you through the 6-7 page legal form in which you sign your life away and everything you own. While filling this out you are also instructed to watch a safety video at the same time. So I was taking my time, trying to read through everything on the forms, while still paying attention to the video, when the woman came back in and RUSHED me though signing the form. I'm sorry but if I'm signing any kind of legal form, I want to read it all and make sure I know what I'm getting into. So I finished on my own time, and handed the woman my form who gave me an attitude about it. She then made some remark about the town I was from, and swore at me (F*** you). That is never okay to do when you are running a business. At this point, I wanted to walk away but I had already paid. And it got worse from there. When I went up, my instructor kept joking about being drunk, and wanting to fall asleep. Very unprofessional. Maybe he was just trying to be funny, but it didn't come off that way. I would have much rather someone try to get me more psyched and excited for the jump, rather than try to scare me. I was not amused at all. He also joked about there something being wrong with the plane. Overall, just very unprofessional workers. The jump went fine, but I was already in a bad mood from the way the workers treated me. So unfortunately I did not get to enjoy the jump as much as I should've gotten to. I definitely did not get my money's worth at this place. After I jumped, I waited to watch my friend go up and jump. I just have to say this: beware if you are there just for moral support too. They will ask you about 10-20 times why you aren't sky diving. Then, in the process, they will belittle you because you are not. One of the things I was most offended at was a conversation I heard between one of the instructors and one of the people not jumping, but just there waiting/watching her friend jump. The instructor was badgering this poor girl the whole time, asking why she wouldn't jump continuously. She stated different reasons, including that she just couldn't afford it right now. He responded with, "Don't be cheap." You should NEVER say that to anyone. You never know what someone might be going through and by saying that you're only making the person feel worse. Also, I think if someone wanted to sky dive, THEY WOULD! They don't need you constantly bothering them about it. If anything, that will make them not want to go more.... I have been skydiving before in Maine and I would HIGHLY recommend that place over this one. (The one I went to was called Sky Dive New England in Lebanon, Maine. A bit of a treck from MA, but well worth it if you want a great experience if you're a first time jumper, like I was when I went there. Or even if it's not your first time, Sky DIve New England is just perfect!) Skydive Chatham was one of the worst experiences of my life. If I could give this place negative stars, I definitely would, without a doubt. I wish I never made a reservation.... read more
