Dare I say a bucket list item if you're in the Northeast? Had a blast doing the Duck Boat today. It probably isn't worth what they charge, but if you do the early tour they knock off $10, otherwise I probably would've passed. They also offer a combo ticket to the museum of science, if you're so inclined. If you've ever done a tour of Boston or live in the area, you're not going to hear anything new or unique during the tour. But that's not what you do the duck boats for; you do it for the experience of driving an amphibious motor vehicle on the water. Our tour guide Skipper the Skydiver (?) was ok. Informative and friendly, but too many dad jokes. Almost like he was trying to hard and not trying to be himself. But that's just me, others tended to get a kick out of the dad jokes. When on the water people are given the opportunity to "drive" the boat/vehicle as well. A fun time and the hour and half goes by fast.

Great way to see Boston...you get in this duck with some Quack and get to see this second rate city by land and sea. What a dirty river tho, almost as dirty as Red Sox fans

What a great experience!!! You get to see highlights of Boston on land and water! Our tour guide, Meatball, was fun and informative. I would definitely recommend this tour!

I've done the boat tour before but it's been about 15 years since the last one and this time was the best tour ever. All because of max Marshall arch. He was the best Boston duck tour guide but I'd also say he was the best Boston tour guide I've ever heard! Amazing tour. If you plan on taking one I highly recommend asking for max marshall arch.

Super fun affordable and unique tour ride around Boston! Even as current locals it was our first time and we enjoyed ourselves even more than the regular bus tours around the city we did when we first moved here. The weather was perfect and the location for the pickup and take off areas are very conveniently placed in tourist must see spots around the city. Highly recommend for folks wanting to get an overview of Boston without breaking the bank and for families who want a fun time with lively tour guides too!

The tour starts on land then it goes into the river then comes back to land. The tour host was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all the questions people were throwing at him. He kept the tour upbeat and fun, it was far from boring, I would recommend a Duck Tour when visiting Boston

our tour guide Bethmetal gave a pretty good tour keeping our toddler child entertained. The music add's a nice unexpected touch. I'd definitely go again once's he's a little older and can sit a bit longer.

I love the duck tour. We were able to get our family of 6 on for just under $200. We bought our tickets at the science museum and left for that location for the tour. The kids loved the water and seeing the landmarks. They each got an opportunity to drive the boat in the water which was a highlight for them. I also enjoyed not walking half of the freedom trail to be honest, this was a great snip it of the walk and the sites to see. The tour has very little traffic at 10am and I would plan ahead for your day if you don't want to get stuck on the bus during high volume traffic times. I highly suggest this as one of your "Boston tourist" things to do. We moved to SoCal in 2012. I haven't been on one in many years and I enjoyed it as much as I had when I was young.

One of the best tours in Boston! Reserve tickets online thru their site. The team here is so nice we requested a change of time for our tour due to traffic in the fwy and they easily moved us to the next one. The tour guide is entertaining, funny & knowledgeable of Boston history. This location is great, it's near Quincy Market and a 10mins walk to Little Italy as well. Definitely try this out when visiting Bean Town!

I've never been on a land and sea tour before, and it was such a fun experience! Reservations are the way to go, although there were seats available the day of in the morning. There are three locations to meet from, and we selected the Science Museum with their on-site parking garage. Our tour guide, who I shall remember as Duck Tracey, was very informative and could easily be heard while zipping through the streets and water way of Boston. This is an impressive feat because not only is the city loud, the vehicle itself is loud and bouncy. The duck boats take turns on the water portion, so there were slight delays negotiating around one another on the narrow roads, but other then that the tour was quick paced. I would definitely go again, and would love to go on Duck tours in other cities!

~YAYYYYY IT'SSSSS MY 1ST TIME TAKING A RIDE ON BOSTON DUCK BOAT TOUR WHICH WAS BACK IN JUNE 2019~
    William B.

So far I have visited the Beautiful City Of Boston Massachusettes 3 Times in the year of 1996, 2013, 2019 and of those two different years of 1996 and 2013... I have never taken a boat ride on the Boston Duck Tours!!! And I have been wanting to take a ride on the Boston Duck Boat... On my last two previous trips to Boston which was back in 1996 and 2013 in 1996 didn't have a chance reason why we got to Boston at night just to visit family no chance to ride on the Boston Duck Boat and then in 2013... I missed out again it's because part of my East Coast Tour which included Boston but did not take us to the Boston Duck Tour instead it took us to other places like Quincy Market,Harvard University,MIT University which was a fun place to visit!!! But I wanted to take a ride on the Boston Duck Tour!!! And then I said to myself when am I ever gonna take a ride on a Boston Duck Boat!!! So from there and this year of June 2019 when I was going to New York and Boston for 2 weeks as a Family Vacation... And when we decided to another tour of Boston Ma, and this time I was superrrrrr happyyyyy it's because Boston Massachusettes tour had included the Boston Harbor Tour and also The Boston Duck Boat Tour and this time I made clear to myself and to my family that I wasn't gonna miss The Boston Harbor Boat Tour Ride & The Boston Duck Boat Tour Ride for the 3rd time!!! As I first stepped on board on the Boston Duck Boat Tour Ride I said YES YES YES it is finally happening!!! When the driver started that engine and we had very nice tour guide as well who showed us around the City Of Boston and told us the history of Boston like the Boston Massacre and the Dunkin Doughnuts and ext!!! After when the driver was done driving around the City Of BOSTON!!! The fun part has just begun it was off to the lake which made me and my family more happy!!! I was able to see The City Of Boston from the lake and got a chance to Fenway Park Home of the Boston Red Sox and the entire famous landmarks of Boston like the Paul Revere Statue he was famous in the American Revolution he had said THE RED COATS ARE COMING THE RED COATS ARE COMING!!!! Now that I finally rode on the BOSTON DUCK BOAT I can't believe that it took me 6 yrs when I waited that long!!! I can now cross that off on my bucket list!!! I will post pictures of myself later on when I was on that historic BOSTON DUCK BOAT TOUR RIDE OF JUNE 2019!!! If your here on vacation as a 1st timer or you have been here before To The Beautiful City Of Boston... I highly recommend to take a ride on THE BOSTON DUCK BOAT TOUR RIDE!!!

For $41 with fee for an hour and a half, it was a great way to see Boston. We scheduled online a few days before because they sell out quickly. We boarded a few minutes before scheduled appointment of 1:30 and they left promptly. We did the city tour first then went into the Charles River then back on land. The tour guy was very entertaining.

If you are in Boston and this is your first time YOU MUST GO!!! Best experience ever. LOVED IT the views, history then getting on water such a cool experience my son is 10 and he loved it as well. Very kid friendly. MUST CHECK IT OUT!

Tom brings us around to the spectacular locations and spots where specific mobsters from the years past were doing their cunning and not so cunning work. Tom's knowledge for this thoroughly interesting topic is unmatched. His serious knowledge of the history of other significant historical places and events speckled with his dry "Bastan" humor. Made this trip extremely worthwhile. The duration was four hours long which also included a Lobster dinner at a local eatery on the south Boston harbor. I haven't laughed this hard in a long while. If you are in beantown for a spell. I highly recommend you and you motley crew join Tom for an interesting alcohol added trip back in time. I am positive your jaws and cheeks will be sore from laughing so hard. Be aware this is an "R" rated trip! But very worth it. Thanks Tom for making this a great memorable evening.

Turns out the Duck Tours were tours in semi-aquatic buses that mix history, jokes, and sightseeing. We also got to go into the water and folks took turns driving the duck boat. What was delightful about our tour was our captain who entertained us with magic tricks, punny jokes, dad jokes, and history. We quacked at passerbys, other duck tours, recent graduates, kids in hi-vis vests. He pointed out the marines organized in a park with the Osprey and other planes. I left my knowledge of American history in elementary school, so everything was super fascinating to me. I thought my honey would enjoy this being a historian and all but he didn't care for the jokes, which I thought were the best part. Oh well. Worth a tour when you're in the Boston area!

When I took my kids on the tour in 2019, I was so impressed with the professionalism of the attendants who help out beforehand. They were all wearing khakis, had their shirts tucked in, and there were no phones in sight. I remember one lovely young man who was wearing a Vineyard Vines belt and my son was obsessed with it, and he graciously told me what the print was called and I was able to purchase it for him for Christmas that year. This time around, it was shocking to me how opposite our experience was pre-tour. I recall in 2019 receiving a warm welcome walking up to the boarding location, but not this time. They were all huddled in a pile by the umbrella, and no one greeted us. I approached an employee who identified himself as a driver and instead pointed me to an attendant who could "better assist". When I asked which boat to board, we were rudely told to "Just wait here until we announce it", which felt like a big departure from the friendliness of a few years ago. The attendants themselves just looked messy, and it seems the standards went down significantly. We had so much fun on the tour itself, but the end to end of an experience is really what makes or breaks it, and the bad customer service before boarding left a sour taste in our mouths.
