Wrong. They were rude. If you still decide to skydive here anyway and have a noon reservation, make sure you get there when they open because this place runs as first come first serve. The date was August 22,2024. I woke up to beautiful sunny skies and started to get ready for an…read moreadventure that was planned less than a week prior. My dad had taken my son ziplining 2 weeks prior and after that amazing day he said, "How would Jacob feel about jumping out of an airplane?" I talked it over with Jacob and he was excited to go do anything Papa wanted to do. Unfortunately, age requirements leave him waiting 4 more years for his first jump, and I plan on taking him for his 18th bday. (If he still wants to go.) I thought to myself, Why does my dad want to do all the fun stuff with Jacob?! So I said, "Whats the matter, you don't want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane with a 40 year old?" The next message I got was, "Thursday morning, 10am, Mom and I will meet you at The Boston Skydive Center." After nervously reading through and signing all the forms online, we were good to go. When we arrived the weather was damn near perfect. Everyone who works there was so amazing. Checking in was super easy. They were extremely thorough with the instructions and made sure you felt safe and educated about skydiving every step of the way. On the walk to the airplane we did a little pre interview and went over the events that were about to take place one last time. Then, with a high five and thumbs up we were on the plane. The views while getting up to altitude were absolutely beautiful. It was such a peaceful ride. Getting ready to actually jump out of the plane was terrifying, but what are you really gonna do when you're already halfway out of the plane?? JUMP!!! It was the most insane feeling I've ever experienced. The views were even more breathtaking, and from up there, the world looked perfect. We jumped with two of the best, Boris and Ratin. Couldn't have asked for two better guys. (For multiple reasons ) The videos and still pictures they got were phenomenal and I am so impressed that they can video like that, multiple times a day, while jumping out of a plane when I could barely keep my eyes open from the wind. A core memory was made that day, not only from the jump with my dad, but also from seeing his video and the pure, whole hearted happiness that was written all over his face. Made my heart smile. Thank you for making this day so memorable for my Dad and I. It is one I will NEVER forget.

So I don't understand the angry review that is about upset about the event that was missed due to the pilot's cancellation for whatever reason, it would likely been weather related I would thino, but this wasn't a cancellation of a reservation for transport to a special event. This was a groupon tou around Bosto. I'd be embarrassed for trying to turn my groupon into an event ride, never mind having the nerve to go to the site complaining that your scheme to get more than what was promised di work out for yo. Next time you need a ride for a special even, shell out the money for a dedicated transport service, and you won't be stuckon the subway trying to go wherever w/ out the big, showy, ridiculous entracee. Coming from California, I had thought we were going to go duck watching. Another thought we were…read morepaddling around in a kind of swan boat. Turns out the Duck Tours were tours in semi-aquatic buses that mix history, jokes, and sightseeing. We also got to go into the water and folks took turns driving the duck boat. What was delightful about our tour was our captain who entertained us with magic tricks, punny jokes, dad jokes, and history. We quacked at passerbys, other duck tours, recent graduates, kids in hi-vis vests. He pointed out the marines organized in a park with the Osprey and other planes. I left my knowledge of American history in elementary school, so everything was super fascinating to me. I thought my honey would enjoy this being a historian and all but he didn't care for the jokes, which I thought were the best part. Oh well. Worth a tour when you're in the Boston area!

When I took my kids on the tour in 2019, I was so impressed with the professionalism of the attendants who help out beforehand. They were all wearing khakis, had their shirts tucked in, and there were no phones in sight. I remember one lovely young man who was wearing a Vineyard Vines belt and my son was obsessed with it, and he graciously told me what the print was called and I was able to purchase it for him for Christmas that year. This time around, it was shocking to me how opposite our experience was pre-tour. I recall in 2019 receiving a warm welcome walking up to the boarding location, but not this time. They were all huddled in a pile by the umbrella, and no one greeted us. I approached an employee who identified himself as a driver and instead pointed me to an attendant who could "better assist". When I asked which boat to board, we were rudely told to "Just wait here until we announce it", which felt like a big departure from the friendliness of a few years ago. The attendants themselves just looked messy, and it seems the standards went down significantly. We had so much fun on the tour itself, but the end to end of an experience is really what makes or breaks it, and the bad customer service before boarding left a sour taste in our mouths.

He peppered his Boston accent delivery with tons of not-so-good dad-like jokes, but it was almost endearing. They let veterans sign the canvas top of the vehicle and let everyone steer while boating down the river. Really solid tour that I would recommend to first time visitors.

Unlike say a double decker bus tour in New York where the sights you'll see are of the concrete jungle, the Boston Duck tours also have an aquatic portion to it. The bus wades through the river as you get a fun tour of the city on the water. The host of our bus tour, Paprika, was also very energetic and entertaining in their presentation of various sights in Boston I almost thought she was moonlighting as a comedian. It was a fun, quick tour of parts of the city that I would recommend getting a ticket for when the weather is nice. It's a great way to take in the sights, be on the water and relax on a warm, summer day.
