I trying to get skydive license here, yay (ft. $3.50 carne taco that I bought from the food truck during 6-hour Accelerated Free Fall (AFF) class break)

I first found out about Skydive Kapowsin through Groupon. They had a discount on there, and I thought it was a calling for me to overcome one of my fears. After booking a date and time for my skydiving appointment, I excitedly waited for the day to come. Arriving there, I had to do some paperwork, which could be completed prior to coming (I didn't know that at the time). After that, I was brought into the equipment area and introduced to my skydiving partner, Andy, and my photographer, Tony. They made me feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire experience, which I really appreciated. We got our gear on and hopped into the plane in less than 10 minutes. Next thing you know, we were in the sky! The actual skydiving portion only lasted a few minutes, but felt longer (in a good way). I was so breath taken by the beautiful views. You could see the Seattle skyline, Mount Rainier, and Mount Baker from the sky! Also, I'm really happy I paid extra for the picture and video package. They captured the moments perfectly. All in all, I enjoyed my experience with Skydive Kapowsin! Time to start saving for my next skydive!

Came here on a weekend and had an amazing first skydiving experience! The staff was super friendly and directed us to their QR code system for paperwork on arrival. After a short wait we got geared up with the help of the instructors, got a briefing on how our first jump would go, and then we loaded onto the plane. The view was incredible. My instructor Lesa was great and made the whole experience very safe and fun. This is an amazing experience that I would recommend anyone try at least once! I will definitely be back and maybe even get my skydiving certification one day.

Just about the most fun you can have with your clothes on. I'm not gonna lie, I was nervous as a long tail cat in a rocking chair factory, but once I was out the door it was awesome! The guys I jumped with were the best and the folks at Skydive Kapowsin are awesome! If you're on the fence about trying, get off the fence and just do it.

    Exhilarating.

13,500 feet is high, but 18,500 feet is amazing. The experience lasts longer and is worth every dollar. At that altitude, this time of the year, it was like jumping into an ice cold pool. But that feeling lasted only a few seconds. As we dropped, the camera person was all over the place, taking photos. I pulled the chute at 5,000 feet and we drifted on the wind - quiet, peaceful, serene. At about 500 feet, we did a few tight spirals and landed easily.

Hey everyone so I jumped out of a plane with some co-workers my second jump it was their first on Sunday June 28th and simply amazing from the time we got there I believe the lady's name is Jen or Jenna an older woman with blond hair she gave us so many helpful tips that made our experience fantastic on to Tom who was my tandem jumper experience jumper he also gave me tips on what to expect when I got in the plane just before the jump although I'm not going to lie I forgot all the tips people so please pay attention and don't forget the tips and such as taking a deep breath before you jump out of the plane which I failed to do and resting your head back on the experience jumpers chest before you jump out of the plane. Once we jumped Tom showed me the view twirling offering me to drive, but I'm still not comfortable driving the parachute Tom continue to check in to see if I was comfortable every step of the way including in air all the way down to the smooth landing, I did pay attention to how the land that's why it was smooth lol. I skydived years ago in the experience was not as good as it was with this company!!! Let me not forget the cameraman Nico who SHOT MY video he was very friendly and made sure he tried to get to know I guess my attitude so he could put in the right type of music on my video I would definitely skydive with KAPOWSIN again!!! PLENTY OF PARKING AND THERE IS A RESTAURANT NEARBY!! AND THE DRIVE WAS NICE and enjoyable WE DROVE FROM SEATTLE DRIVING TIME ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF...DONT BE LATE! And enjoy every moment of your trip and the experience it is definitely worth the money thank you skydive kapowsin!!

When you arrive, you check in and sign some waivers. You get suited up in a jumpsuit and they take you through some basics of what to expect. There are several instructors with you and they will take one at a time and make sure that you are able to get left and have a great experience. While you're waiting, you can observe and hear the instructions so you know what to expect. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for the thrill of skydiving and also for group events.

From…read morefront desk to fan operator they have an exceptional team of people that make you feel comfortable, and getting set up did feel pretty seamless. I noticed in the group before mine they were very gentle when flying the young kids which was good to see. A helpful thing to know: 1 flight = 1 minute. They can slice and dice, so if you have 3 flights, you and your friend could each get a 1.5 minute flight. I just wish the sales model didn't feel so gimmicky. First, all the sticker prices are marked up. After you fly, they'll offer you 50% off the 4, 6, and 10 flight packages to get you to come back. Pass on it? You've broken the cycle and you're back to paying full price. Or you've escaped the matrix--frame it as you please. Next, they're going to offer you a $25 "high flight" before each turn. It's cool. The instructor takes you up high in the tube. It doesn't seem to cost them anything extra though--it just eats into your precious 1 minute of flying and takes away from time you'd otherwise use to improve your flying skills. Finally, they'll hit you with the media purchases. They'll snap about 4 photos ($4 each) and a video ($8). This means they spend a bit of your flying time placing you in frame to ensure they have media to sell you. Between my squinting eyes from the camera flashes and the high winds on my face, I looked wasted in all photos lol. So, if you max out the add-ons, you're looking at an additional $49 on top of whatever your 1 minute flight cost. Just for fun, if you made $49/minute full-time, you'd rake in $6 million a year (pre-tax, of course)! And you probably wouldn't think twice about buying the photo package for the lols. At the end, the instructor goes in the tube for a demo flight full of elaborate tricks. Honestly, that was one of the coolest parts. So, it's a neat thing--do it once! I did indulge in the 50% off deal to share the experience with my gf, but I probably won't seek it out much beyond that. In this economy, I can respect their hustle if it's the only thing keeping the lights on.

It was one of those moments as my carpool came around a winding road towards the facility. Just breathtaking (and no rain at the moment). The effect was completed with about 50 seagulls and 25 geese hanging out on and/or near the docks. I love birds - they're just a little messy sometimes. The main building offers either an elevator or stairs to the next floor. On the second floor, you can find pretty much everything you'll need - the main room (with fireplace), two balconies, bathrooms, kitchens, and more of the stunning view I described earlier. Most of our activities took place in the main room. There were high ceilings and hanging lights. The facility offered both round and straight tables with plenty of chairs. The hardwood floor was beautiful. The staff was great and super responsive to our needs, facility was perfect, and our event design was fantastic! A great day in a great location!

I now have on my fridge a piece of paper saying I'm certified by the City of Seattle to sail. NEAT-O.

We read the reviews online and called them to book our adventure. We were treated with kindness and respect from the time that we got there. We signed the requisite waivers and were told that the rapids head tamed down to class three which was very manageable and safe for the family. They outfit you with wet suits and boots and it's suggested that you bring your own hats, sunglasses and sunscreen. Our guy took the time to get to know all the folks that were in our group and arranged us in the raft, according to our age and abilities. My son and his friend sat towards the back of the raft, which turned out to be the safest and driest location. After a short walk-through of expectations and paddling instruction, we got underway. Smooth sailing for the 1st mile or so, and then we hit our first group of rapids. The guy did an outstanding job of keeping us afloat and telling us which side to paddle aggressively, and which side to back off on. Throughout the day, this continued and we hit several more aggressive rapids that were challenging, but a lot of fun. Photographers are located throughout the course and will get some great pictures of your group as you head down the river. They are available for purchase at the end.
