I've been there twice, the experience were both great. The first time was for my first jump and I went 5 years later as I missed the skies. I recommend going during the weekday because the wait time is definitely shorter, I think I only waited 20 to 30 minutes. The weekend is busier and you can wait for to 3 hours before you're on the list. What an absolutely incredible first experience tandem skydiving for my son! It all started when he turned 18 and said he'd like to go skydiving. Fast forward many months later and he still hadn't gone. All of my research pointed me to Skydive Sebastian, and I am so glad I chose them! Their website is very user friendly, and you do all the booking online. You are welcome to call them with any questions or concerns, and everybody that I dealt with had the greatest customer service. I had many questions about the different photo packages available, and I'm really glad that we got one of the best ones! We actually drove an hour and a half to Sebastian just for this experience because of everything I had read, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. But first things first. You pull up to the airport, and there are signs pointing you all towards Skydive Sebastian. The area had a cute and clean layout, with a couple restrooms available. My son was going up in one of the first flights in the morning, but apparently there's even a little snack bar that We didn't get a chance to visit. When we arrived, they had all of his information already pulled from the website, and it was just a matter of him signing waivers... A lot of waivers, lol I was very impressed with the demeanor of all the instructors and staff. Everybody just seemed to be really happy to be there! Which when you're going up for a tandem skydive, is very important! The plane that my son rode on was great, and apparently they have a few planes available depending on what kind of jumpers they have that day. The package I bought my son included the tandem skydive, a hand cam of videos and pictures, and a separate skydiver that jumps out specifically to film him in the air. If you were only going to do this once in your life, I beg you not to skimp on this! My son couldn't be more thrilled with all the pictures and video he got from his jump! They had amazing ocean in inlet views both in the plane and during their jump! Although, I may have just created a monster because now he's already looking for another time to skydive again! They have a special that you can jump again the same day for $105, or you have a full year to come back and just do a tandem jump for $139. What wonderful incentive to get repeat business! My son is talking to a group of his college buddies and hopes that they can do it around Christmas time. This makes a perfect gift, or a perfect bucket list item to be checked off! We were looking forward to this one event on my 60th birthday after picking up our friends from Ohio and Sanford Florida. We drove two hours just to be told that they could not do it after arriving 20 minutes early would not refund the $50 deposit each person never gave us a phone call to tell us they could not do the skydiving event. After the first jump, we left and got lunch and decided it was so much fun we had to drive all the way back and go again. I was apparently too slow jumping of if the plane as I was taking the steps taught. When I was at the "check in" stage (10 seconds in at the door), I got yelled at to "get the fuck back in the plane". Do yourself a favor and go to Clewiston if you want to take the course. The instructors were amazing (except for the unprofessional cursing) and explained it has to move faster. Suggested I take a tandem jump and retry the F1 jump since it's been over ten years since my only tandem. The guy that runs the show was a jerk and kicked me out of AFF school. read more

Everything about this place is perfect for a first timer and an experienced jumper! This was my first time ever skydiving and I felt as save as one can feel, seconds before free falling out of an airplane. The tandem instructors where friendly and chatty on the flight up and the gear felt really secure. The instructors let us control the chute and do some fun spins and turns. The jump at Sebastian is around 15,000 which is higher than most places and the view down is the east coast of Florida! I will start by saying YES- skydiving is SUPER SCARY! That being said, everyone working at Skydive Sebastian is incredible and knowledgeable and I trusted my life in their hands! (Or rather, they "had my back" - literally- since it was tandem jumping at 13,000 feet!) I first went went two male friends and was so scared that I cried all the way up in the airplane (no joke, I had to employ my goggles several times since they were filled with the water from my tears, lol!)... But when it came time to jump out of the plane, it wasn't exactly easy for my pro sky diver to get me out of the plane (as embarrassing as it is to admit) but when he did, what a complete thrill it was!!! And Sebastian has been rated one of the top places in the U.S. to skydive and I can completely tell why! The view of the entire ocean as you free fall and then pull the cord and then drift is beyond beautiful!! I loved it so much that I came back with 4 girlfriends and we mostly wore pink to support breast cancer and they loved it as much as I did!! This is an experience like no other!! Let me just start off with the fact that I am an experienced skydiver. I had only spent two weeks here but from the time I spent here I got to know a lot of really awesome people. My friend and I had made reservations for 11AM but we actually didn't get on the plane till 11:45AM since they have it staggered. I've gone sky-diving twice already in two different locations but this one is simply amazing. The view of the water was just spectacular. We got some snazzy shirts, wind-blown hair, and silly grins on our faces. Just make sure you don't go on a completely empty stomach. Both my friend and I were nauseated when we landed. Also, it's best to go earlier in the day since it usually isn't as windy. Aside from them getting my name wrong on the video, everything else was great! I took my sister skydiving for her 18th birthday here back in December 2016 & we loved it. All the employees we encountered were straightforward, laid back & funny. We had reservations for a Sunday morning & showed up right on time.....once we 'signed our lives away' & paid for the experience we waited at the hangar for NO longer than 30 minutes before we were taking off from the runway. I had expected to be waiting much longer so this was a nice surprise. Pilot seemed experienced & we had a small group which was nice. The jump itself is intense. I had never been skydiving prior to this and I was a little uneasy about it. I love adventure but I hate extreme heights (14,500 feet!!!!) Although once we landed I decided at some point in my life, that I'd need to do it again. It cannot be compared to anything else in the world. We got the photo/video package for my sister which *I think* was an extra $100 but completely worth it. The company sends a dedicated jumper into the air with two GoPro cameras to follow you along the whole way.....then they put all of the still photos (I think one gets taken every 5 seconds) and the edited video on a USB thumb drive for you. If that wasn't enough - they upload every jumper's video to YouTube on-the-spot so you can instantly "share" on social media. If you are thinking about trying tandem skydiving, I can personally tell you that this outfit will meet & exceed all of your needs. We live near Miami but drove several hours North to come here based on word-of-mouth from people who had been themselves. We were not disappointed. read more

Major disappointment today. I understand weather is beyond anyone's control, but the lack of organization in contacting jumpers who were being cancelled is poor to say the least. I drove 60 miles up there only to find out everyone in my group had been contacted except for me, even jumpers who had already cancelled their reservations days ago! Claims made that my phone number wasn't on file, but I know for a fact that my email was because I received several confirmation emails. Let's get creative guys, no phone number available but there's an email and emergency contact on file... I had heard nothing but rave reviews from everyone I know that has jumped here. I purchased a tandem jump for my wife - she had been wanting to do this for a long time. Groupon ran a deal for the jump and a shirt - pretty neat. We went there on a Sunday at 11 AM - unfortunately it was crowded and there was around a 2-4 hour wait. We spoke with the lady at the desk - and she said no problem, come the next week at 8AM - our luck Tropical Storm Isaac was rolling around the area. Again, no problem - we went today. What a great time we had - I didn't jump - but the staff was outstanding, informative, and SAFE! She had a blast. After we got home we realized we didn't ask for the shirt - no big whoops - we figured while in the area on another occasion we'll stop by and get it. Nope - they are sending it to us. Two days later we received the shirt. THIS IS THE WAY YOU DO BUSINESS! Being satisfied and impressed with the way they treated us, I am now seriously considering doing this as well. Been coming here for years! Excellent choice for a first jump in regards to scenic value. The staff is well trained and professional. The facility is In pretty good condition, and the regular fun jumpers are fun to be around. Being a fun jumper myself, I have noticed a decline in the facilities attractiveness in regards to good coaches, but they still have a good following. They are accommodating for big groups also. The biggest downfall of this drop zone is Jerry the pilot. Their are generally 2 pilots, Dave which comes from Chicago during season and jerry which is usually here all year. Dave is warm and welcoming, and provides a great skill set and input to skydivers. Jerry, on the other hand is the worst representation of a jump pilot I have ever seen. He is rude, pretentious, standoffish, cocky and believes he is a pilot God. He should not be employed in this environment because he brings nothing except and unwelcoming vibe and imagine to such a gracious sport. Being a Pilot, aircraft mechanic, And Faa representative in the southeast region, jerry has ignored many rules and regulation involved in the sports and in the industry itself. He belongs in a crop duster, where he can portray his negative attitude to the corn fields and cows. His unprofessionalism sickens me, and dropzone managers should be ashamed of employing this bus driver. This is the overwhelming majorities opinion of Jerry in the dz! Ask around! Overall, If you can look past the pilot, sebastian does offer a great experience and view. read more
