Absolutely ridiculous interaction with this company. Don't buy a Groupon for a tandem skydive because when you go to try and redeem it they will just tell you it's expired and try to get you to pay the rest of the amount required for a regular ticket or try and upgrade you for triple the price you paid for a Groupon. Skydived multiple times before at different drop zones and never had someone tell me I needed to set aside SIX HOURS of my day to jump out and be in the sky for only a few minutes. What a great experience. It was my second time jumping in my life and this one was so much easier. I also got a chance to drive which she don't always get your first time. When you arrive, you go to a classroom, fill out paperwork, show your ID And then go to the hanger BAY and wait for your instructor to call your name. What's you're done, you will be put in your harness and then you'll wait a little bit more and then you go to the plane to go make your jump. Back on the ground, you'll be giving your certificate anyway maybe about 1015 minutes and you'll get your thumb drive with your video and photos. Horrible. They just want your money had an appointment at 10 am waited for 3 hours talked to multiple people on site. They talked about us not being able to go because vip gave priority which is insane because if you tell someone to be somewhere at that exact time and then we expect you to be ready for us as we are paying you money to do this experience is ridiculous. I purchased a jump for my father through Groupon, as soon as we got to the place they stressed to be there by 8:00 AM and left us out there till exactly 8 AM but shortly after that after bringing us back, they informed me that they were not going to perform my junk today because my father was 85 years old and then it required more to jump out of this plane. I informed them that they should've told me that prior to the jump. My father has previously jumped numerous times out of airplanes and we've never had an issue until we got to this facility. The instructor approached the discussion in a negative aspect from the beginning, basically leading me to believe that they were going to try to upgrade me to another jump for more money. Beating around the bush I finally said to him let's just what are you saying, it was not the experience we expected. We've done this many times with other companies and was not really happy with this one.Other companies we have had no issues. all of this was our first red flag, secondly, you signed and initialed a 16 page piece of paper for a contract and then we were told it would be 4 to 6 hours before we even got up in the air, the place just seems really unorganized and nothing like all of the other places that we have went skydiving from in the area. We ended up asking for a refund and left. What a waste of time for the drive up and back and for Father's Day I wish I would've booked it at one of the other places that we went before that I knew had good customer service and just all around a better place to go to skydiving would not recommend this Place. read more

Overall it was a great experience. Like some of the earlier posts we also bought the Groupon only to have the fear of death described to us if we choose to do the 12,000 jump in the smaller plane. We weren't to upset since like most small businesses they have undoubtedly taken a hit from the Covid pandemic. We upgraded to 15,000 foot jump but almost all the others on the plane were signed up for an 18,000 ft jump. Both instructors were great and the process was smooth. First off, we hit some traffic and showed up just 2 minutes past the cutoff time, and they refused to let us jump. Seriously? 2 minutes? The guy with the immature tattoos felt the need to mansplain everything and constantly tell everyone they were wrong. His attitude was condescending and completely unprofessional. This was a surprise birthday gift from my girlfriend and it was a great surprise! We showed up on the time schedule and no clear direction where to go when you first arrive but everybody congregated around the park benches. Staff then slowly arrived and began to brief individuals. We got the 12,000 ft jump but they upsold us on the fact that because we purchased that height we would most likely go last we 15,000 and 18,000 going first so we upgraded for $50 a person. The instructor once we got him was great very informative straight to the point and gets you prepared. Once your ready they load up at about 6-8 at a time. That's wear the suspense kicks in as you quickly climb up into the sky! The jump itself was breathtaking (literally) at first it feels like you can't breathe but then you get the rhythm and really take in the amazing view, once and a life time experience! After the jump is over they do push to purchase the pictures and video. I bought both for around $100 and i recommend to just buy the video because pictures are just screenshots from video. Overall great experience only reasons for 4/5 is because up charge for 15,000 ft wasn't necessary everybody jumped out the same plane and up charge for pictures wasn't necessary if they are just go pro screenshots. read more

When we got there, everyone was very nice! We arrived at 8:50 am for a 9 am jump time. Spencer got on the plane around 9:45 in the second group. He was back on the group at 10 am, we waited for the photos and we left around 10:45 am. I would say overall, Great timing on everything! We got a free shirt, and came home with awesome photos! What an experience! I have wanted to go skydiving for about 7 years now and finally decided that it was time to make my dreams a reality. After receiving several recommendations for Skydive Space Center, I decided to book my jump. I booked my jump through their website and after reading other Yelp reviews, I think I would recommend this way of booking vs Groupon. I had no issues with my reservation at all. I arrived into the bustling room and was a little confused when I arrived. After I asked someone where to go...I had to find a clipboard with papers, fill them out, get an employee to check them, complete the payment (I had only paid a deposit online), then go outside and wait. My only complaint was that I was told to arrive at 9:00am and I did not jump until 11:30. I came from Tampa and would have liked to have known this. Once it was time to go, the jump masters got my harness ready and then I waited around some more. I met my jump master Nick who was AWESOME! He has done over 7,000 jumps and that made me so hyped to go. We got in the little plane, went up and then we jumped. It was the best experience and Nick really made it so enjoyable, communicating every step of the way. Since this was my first jump, I decided to pay for the video and photo package. The video was great and certainly gave me lots of laughs after & is a great way to re-live the jump. This place makes dealing with cable companies feel like shopping at Publix. I have never left anything other than 5-star reviews. I wish I could give this place negative stars. It was the single worst experience I've ever had with any company, ever. See below for the full story and a "too lazy, didn't read" version of it. tl;dr: After driving 2.5 hours, we arrived at 7:55 for our 8 am reservation. Because we chose to do the 8,000 ft jump and didn't concede to the numerous upselling pitches the staff gave, every other person got to skydive that day except for us. At 12:30, we were eventually told that the weather was too bad and we couldn't skydive, despite the fact that people who had reservations hours after ours were able to. This place has high reviews because it's great if you're willing to do the most expensive packages. If you're on a tight budget though, expect to be treated like garbage. Full story: Myself and two others made reservations for the 8,000 foot jump that their website boasts as the "World's cheapest jump!!!" (see attached picture). After driving 2.5 hours to get there on Saturday morning, we arrived at 7:55. At 8, the doors opened and we went into a room where we filled out all the usual disclaimers signing your life away. After most people were done with the paperwork, a staff member played a video that I thought was going to an info video telling us about what to do skydiving. That was the process when I did a tandem jump in Palatka. Instead, the video was the start of what would become relentless upselling. The video marginalized the lower-level jumps, and made numerous points about why the higher (and thus more expensive) jumps were what you really needed to do. I would find out later that there were other waiting rooms. The one I was in was all the low-altitude jumpers, 8k and 11k feet. I'm assuming that the higher altitudes did not have to watch this video or suffer through the ensuing sales pitches. Once the video finished, a staff member reiterated all the points that the video made and then asked if anybody would like to upgrade to a better jump. Everybody else except for us did so. Here is a non-comprehensive list of the points they use to manipulate you into spending more money there: 1. If you don't do a higher jump, you might not get to skydive because at all because the higher-altitude jumps go before you. My response: This is a reprehensible business model. We had reservations for 8 am. We should have jumped before people that were scheduled for 9 or 10. The excuse that the staff gave for this was that they wanted us there at 8 am so they can let us know how great the higher dives are and then upgrade to a better one. One staff member literally told me to my face that I'm "uneducated" about skydiving and didn't know what I wanted. I have gone before, and knew exactly what I was doing with 8k jump. Since my group were the only ones who didn't give in to the sales pitch, all others that came that day got to dive except us. 2. "The lower-level jumps are fun, but if you want the time of your life you really need to go at 15k or 18k." My response: This was repeated to us so many times that I have the line memorized. The 8k and 11k jumpers were treated like second-rate dives that would barely be fun. We knew beforehand that at 8k feet there would be little freefall before the parachute deployed. It would still be extremely fun for those that have only jumped once, or not at all. 3. "I don't get extra money if you do a higher jump or not." My response: This was told to us by one of the staff members whose primary job is to persuade people to spend wayyyy more money. For us to upgrade, it would have doubled the cost of our trip from $100 each to $200 each. Also, they refused to let us upgrade to 11k feet. When asked why, they gave the non-answer of, "we just don't do that because the best jumps are at 15k and 18k." Translation: Give us more money. I could go on for another five pages about the other terrible things about this place. Do not go here. read more

Before you realize.... "prepare for landing" Not complaining about the money, but I didn't get the experience I was hoping for. Not the place for first timers... here is why What did I get Got a Groupon for the 12000 jump. Ended up with the 18000 jump. Might as well go all the way right?! My thought is that I may not do this again....not really. Not sure why they schedule so many people at 9 when the 12000ft plane only holds 2 people at a time. Their focus seemed to get people on the 15000 or 18000 plane which can take 7 people. Not sure why they schedule so many people when they can't take that many people. They tell people the 12000 could take a 4-6 hour wait. This moves a lot of people to get the upgrade to either the 15000 or 18000 jump to "expedite". "The ones that jump higher go first". Also got the ultimate video package. The personalized video they make is veryyyyy cheesy, they base it on a template and give it to you on a DVD (seriously, who uses DVD) get the USB for $20 more (it should be the standard). Definitely worth getting the raw footage too so you can chose your own frames and make your own home movie. The ultimate video package was also sloppy, my videographer wasn't there to film my landing. They are all rushing to catch the new plane! Environment The drive isn't bad, about 1 hour to the east of Orlando, near the Kennedy space center. Once you get there there is a hangar with a couple of small places and a lot of people show up at 9am. Niceness of staff My 2 stars are for me completing the jump. These people are not here to give you a bucket list experience. It was get in and get out kind of thing like this was a Disney theme park ride. My instructor was not excited to build this bucket list experience for me, he was very strict. Smiled a couple of times but definitely not the person to build that environment for you to enjoy your jump. I was not impressed, I felt rushed! Definitely not the service I want for my first time skydiving. Apart from telling me how to hold me position he didn't try and tell me anything else. DONT SMILE WITH YOUR TEETH SHOWING! The customer service rep/videographer, Brent, at the center had the nastiest attitude I have ever experienced at an establishment. After getting almost the entire class to upgrade the jump, he was visibly getting upset and irritated after 2 young ladies who do not live in Orlando wanted a refund because Brent told them that they weren't guaranteed to jump today due to the weather. He started raising his voice after the 2 young ladies were confused as to why he had such a nasty and unprofessional deamenor. He stated that "no one else in the group had an issue with his attitude" and my friends and i spoke up to let him know that we agreed with them as well after watching how he handled those girls. After we stated our opinion, we began yelling and catching an attitude with us as well, and told us we had to either leave or reschedule, but either way he kept directing us to leave. We asked for a manager contact/ owner contact-- he kept saying it was just him and that his owner would tell us the same. The only reason we are choosing to go through with this is because we still wanted to experience the jump & we drove 4 hours to be here. Brent needs a serious customer service training before he is able to deal with customers because he does NOT handle being under pressure well. UPDATE---- After they sent another rep to bombard us with trying to upgrade our jump to the 15,000ft one, they told us that they were canceling our flight due to the "weather" that cleared up not even 30 minutes later. We were perfectly fine waiting for the 4-6 hour time frame we agreed to via email and weren't even allowed to do so because they wanted us to upgrade so bad. Why would you offer a service you don't even want to provide? Every other word out of both of the reps mouth were that the 12,000 ft jump is a "glorified parasail" and went on and on about how we should upgrade, and that they don't make any extra money off of the upgrade. Found this location on a Groupon for $99 (keep that in mind as that plays a role in this review). My friend had mentioned that she wanted to do this, so I got both of us passes to go. We made the trip up Sunday, 3/19. Now, here's what they don't tell you until you get there... The $99 jump is at 12,000 and only 2 people go up at a time. This is what gets you there. Also, you can be sitting around 4-6 hours waiting to jump. They do give you this heads up before you arrive. Once you arrive and do the paperwork, that's when the upsell comes in. They show you the plane you would jump out of for $99, and then, they show you the bigger plane that takes you up to 15,000 and 18,000 feel. You're advised on how it's a safer jump from higher up, you get to see more, and how they are the highest jumps in Florida. Plus, you don't wait nearly as long. 15,000 is another $100. To get your video on cd, add another $99. If you want the footage along with the raw footage and photos on a usb stick, that's another $20. By the time I added all of that for the 2 of us, I spent another $429 on top of the 2 Groupons. Pricing out of the way.....it was a little hectic getting your paperwork done and them giving you a brief tour of the planes and a video to watch thrown in. It was such a cluster, but we made it through so that we could just jump. We were in the 3rd group. My professional was doing jumps back to back, so I briefly met him. I noticed all of the other jumpers got interview videos for their packages. I never received mine. I went up to the counter and asked about this since he was going back to back on jumps. They said to try and catch him between jumps to re-record it. That never happened as he never had more than 2 seconds. So my introductory video was only while walking to the plane. Kind of disappointing. Other than all of that, the jump was fine. I'd do it again, but I might shop around and see what else is out there and compare pricing. It is Florida after all, so there are more than one jump spot. My advice is to not buy into the Groupon based on the lowest price (because it is). Worst Customer Service Experience. All the staff is really rude and mean. I signed up for 12,000 Ft jump, after reaching the location they forced me to upgrade to 15,000 (120$ additional) or reschedule the jump, even after confirming the booking date 2 weeks in advance. They literally scammed me here. It took me 3 hours to reached the location so it wasn't worth reschedule so I had to pay additional 120$ to upgrade. The instructor was really rude and didn't really listen to me, it is like a bad monopoly they have once you reach there. I have never been treated worse by a company than how I was treated at this place. I waited 5 hours. Was manipulated, pressured into upgrading, and never got to jump. This is because (although my group arrived to the facility first), we were put at the back of the line because highest jumps (most expensive jumps) take priority. I am so thankful I did not jump though, because I ended up jumping the following day at Florida Skydiving Center in Lake Wales, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. I went here on August 27th 2019. I bought the Groupon for $99 for 12,000 feet tandem sky diving. Upon arrival, we were treated like normal customers (other reviews said the employees were rude). However, we saw the safety video, and I'd be lying if I said I'd feel safe jumping out of that small plane. I know they were up-selling... My group of 8 decided to all upgrade to 15,000 feet. It was an extra 90 because we got 10 dollars off for being students. We were also moved to the second jump of the day with the upgrade. Additionally, all 8 of us were able to be in the same plane together and jump at the same time! We got there at 8am. It was close to 11am by the time we all got our pictures and videos after the jump! My pictures and videos came out great too. The jump itself was an amazing experience and absolutely beautiful. I had Bruno as my instructor, and we did a backflip once we were out of the plane. He was great!! It was a crazy experience, and I would do it all again! The main thing I'd say is do the jump you are comfortable with. For me, I preferred the jump with the bigger plane and easier exit style since it was my first time sky diving. What a fantastic day! My girlfriend bought me a tandem jump from 18,000 feet for my 40th birthday on Groupon. This has always been on my bucket list of things to try. My dad and sister ended up buying tickets as well. Once there, I filled out about12 pages of paperwork. We were part of a large group that morning, so it took a bit for everyone to complete it. That gave us time to walk out in the hanger and see them pull the plane out and the parachutes being readied. My dad bought me the video package for another $100 which was a camera man jumping out with you. Your instructor also wears a camera on his wrist. After you jump, they show you his footage. You can buy that for another $60. After seeing it, my girlfriend bought that for me, too. So I had a great birthday present from them both. Paulo was my instructor and was great! He was cracking jokes to put me at ease. He was also very considerate when helping me with the harness. He would always tell me what he was going to do before he ever touched me. I had a friend jump at a different place and she said she felt her instructor was a little too hands on for her which made her feel somewhat violated. Paulo did an excellent job! My dad didn't care for his instructor. He didn't seem like he enjoyed his job very much. So I think your instructor is important. My sister's instructor seemed cool, too. He was cracking jokes with Paulo on the way up. The jump itself wasn't scary. You're walked to the door so quickly that you don't have time to worry. My absolute worst experience with any type of extreme sporting event or outing ever! Terrible service from the beginning. We showed up on time for our 8 am reservation only to be shoved into a small room and bombarded with the "upgrade sales pitch" for 30 minutes. They attempted to force our hand with purchasing the "upgrade" (an extra $100/person) by saying we wouldn't be able to skydive the standard package for at least 6 more hours. Basically saying if you don't upgrade you will be wasting your day waiting around. To celebrate my 30th birthday my fiancee took me skydiving and we found a Groupon for Skydive Space Center. We went with a group of my friends and had a blast! Word of warning, they WILL try to upsell you to higher altitudes. In my honest opinion, upgrading is worth it. Lower altitudes are a longer wait and take a lot longer to get up to jumping altitude, because the plane is smaller and can only take two tandem jumpers at a time. Don't take any offense to the hard selling, they are just trying to make a better experience for you while making some money at the same time. Originally our jump was set at 12,000ft, but we chose to upgrade to 15,000ft. The free fall is longer and the plane ride is shorter for 15K and 18K altitudes. My jump master Ian was great and he made me feel comfortable the entire trip up and the entire trip down. Ten minutes after my first jump ever, I wanted to go again! read more

This was my BIRTHDAY present from my husband. My friend and I were going to jump. We both had Groupons, which is easily identifiable to them by your 12K jump. We had read reviews about the strong arming but thought we could handle it. Boy were we wrong. From the get go, you are separated into the lower and higher jumps. This is where you meet Wendy, an old woman with a scathing attitude. She immediately begins to tell you how inferior your jump will be. She called it glorified parachuting. I wasn't too sure why she would talk down a service that they provide and sell. We were made to watch a video and that woman talked during the whole video telling us how this student saw the plane for 12K jump and decided it was an unsafe looking aircraft so she upgraded. She talked up the higher jumps in every way, but equally crapped on the 12K just as much. She took us to the hanger and demonstrated how difficult and uncomfortable this old rickety plane is that she wasn't sure was safe to begin with. She also told us that the experience itself was pointless and not worth it, you won't remember it anyway. This is where my friend and I began to worry about our safety. During this talk in the hanger, the old woman was RUDE and spoke down to anyone that wasn't interested in upgrading. Now back to the room we go. This is where another DVD is put on. This is where the room took on a chaotic form. I truly think they do this on purpose. There are signs everywhere that state you will wait 4-6 hours. It even states that on your Groupon. I was prepared for that part. However I counted 10 people jumping, they still rode you for an upgrade. If that didn't make you want to upgrade there are even more signs that state EVEN PARTIES AS SMALL AS 2 CAN BE SEPARATED FOR JUMPS. Lastly waiting makes you vulnerable to weather. Wendy insisted the little plane most likely would not ever go up, so that our jumps would get canceled due to weather. So best for you to upgrade or get stuck wasting your day for nothing. My friends and I deduced that it was there intention to keep you ALL DAY, and to be sure to separate you from your other person intentionally. I truly believe if I stayed, they would have made certain to ruin my experience. Wendy was still talking over the video, so I tuned out. I was on my phone and she rudely got in my face to berate me once more about not wanting to upgrade. At this point I simply got up and left. This is where all hell broke loose. The details are many, but I will simply say she told my husband after I left "he isn't a paying customer of ours" which in fact I was the jumper. She also said "we don't need his money" when he told her she just lost a client. Somehow there was an altercation of words with sweet innocent old Wendy (that's sarcasm) and my husband was surrounded by 4 people bc he he told the old woman to get out of his face, too. She really likes to get in peoples faces when they are sitting down. She may be small, but she is not afraid to get right in your face when your sitting. The front row was hell because she was ALWAYS THERE! IN! YOUR! FACE!!!! Needless to say, he too left the room. This left our poor friend alone in this building with a bunch of crazy people who are creating chaos. It was time for me to go in. When I went back inside to collect my friend, that was when I met the manager. I forget her name. She didn't impress me when she rolled her eyes at my complaints of these aggressive sales tactics. However, she told my husband "yeah, a lot of people don't like her sales tactics" referring to the old woman. She could have cared less that we were upset by her employee, she could have cared less we felt unsafe and scared. She really didn't project an attitude of caring much about anything, expect telling me she couldn't help me, and I need to contact Groupon. My friend did ask her 5 times "Ma'am, why do you sell a product that you feel is inferior? Why would you bring me here and tell me the equipment you provide is unsafe unless I upgrade?" You can guess, not one single answer. This proved to me and my friend it was all a scam. read more

So, I was given an early b-day present this weekend. My best friends decided to go skydiving and I was going with them to cheer them on. On our way, I was told that they had paid for me to jump with them. I couldn't believe it and I really wasn't prepared for it but i just went along. we had about 25 people jumping and the wait took a while but at the end it was worth it. my instructor, made me feel comfortable and even though i was suppose to be the first one to jump or better said pushed off the plane i actually felt a lil more relaxed. when they opened the plane door and told me to get up i almost chickened out. but my instructor just walked me to the door and pretty much pushed me out. lol the experience of falling 120mph through a cloud was AMAZING. once the parachute opened a feeling of the relief started to set in, the view was amazing. my instructor started to do spins and turns. i luved it. i dont know if i would do it again but i really did enjoy the experience. read more

My fiancé and I came here on our last day to our vacation, we had reservations for about a week and purchased our tickets through Groupon. We use Groupon pretty often and have never had a bad experience. There were two different planes, one did a 12,000 jump and the second one did an 18,000 jump. Our 8:00 reservation was for the 12,000 jump. From the moment that she started speaking to us, she started talking poorly about the smaller plane. She went on and on about how uncomfortable it is, how you won't be able to jump with the person you came with, how it's more dangerous, how it'll be an additional 4-5 hour wait and then how you won't "remember the jump tomorrow." Then she walked us over to the larger plane and started going on and on about how amazing this plane was, how you'll get a certificate, how the jump is something you'll remember forever, you won't have to wait, and we'd be able to jump together- but for an additional $200 more. We started we wanted to keep the smaller plane, and she didn't really seem to want to take that for an answer. She proceeded to turn us away and tell us that she might not even be able to take us on that smaller plane because it might rain, and even if she could take the smaller plane we'll have to wait 4-5 hours. It seems like they just have the Groupon to get people in the door to then up-charge them, which is fine but the woman wouldn't even let us get on the smaller plane which was our reservation. It seemed dishonest and made me feel a little scammed so we decided to leave. OK... if you're going to do something in life that is a little scary, exciting and outside of your comfort zone. You need to do a tandem skydive! I'd been thinking about it for months because a scuba dive buddy went for his birthday and had a blast. And if I'm going to skydive I want to "go big or go home," which coincidentally is Skydive Space Center's motto. You only get to do your first skydive once and they are the only place you can dive off the east coast, over the space center and with the highest tandem skydive in the world at 18,000 feet. So I booked the 18,000-foot dive with pictures, raw footage and the finished edited video. And as crazy as it sounds I wanted the highest dive at 18,000 feet so I could spend as much time as possible freefalling to the earth at 120mph so I could really sponge up the moment. Kristal was of tremendous help in making my reservation, answering my questions, email confirmations, etc. Upon arrival, Becka assisted me with my paperwork and attended to me as if she were my own personal tour guide - I enjoyed talking to her. The entire staff was great! My tandem instructor was Uwe and my videographer was Maksim - both really cool guys. They had a printout of my video requests and information and assured me they could accommodate everything no problem. Uwe then fitted me with my harness, gave very clear instructions on what to do, when to do it and made me feel at ease and excited at the same time. I was more worried about peeing my pants (for the record I didn't) than anything else happening. On the way up I talked a lot because I was both nervous and excited and Uwe just said you're going to be fine, enjoy the view and I got you. How could I not enjoy the view I was right beside the door! Then we jumped... Although words can not even remotely describe the feeling and sensation of sky diving I'll try... amazing, exhilarating, scary, fun, enlightening, life-changing, euphoric, slow-motion, surreal, sensory overload, disbelief, shock and the experience of a lifetime. And although you can never fully prepare yourself for skydiving, you do as much as you can then just do it. You won't regret it. I absolutely plan on doing it again... and regularly... and would only do so at Skydive Space Center. read more

Amazing first experience. It was way more than I expected. Although not as scary as I was hoping it would be. Ha ha. My instructor was BRUNO. If I return to that site for my next tandem I won't go with anyone but him. He was fun, energetic, very informative and read me very well. I'm sure many people are nervous and fearful but he realized immediately that I was excited and wanted to do every trick allowed. The only regret is I did not think to tipping him. read more

Great place, awesome experience. Well worth the money. We used a Groupon so were able to save a few bucks. If it is your first time, expect to spend some money. Go to 18k and get all the photo/video from them. It's well worth it and you don't want to miss your first time. It does take about 30 mins after your jump to get your video. Jump teams were great. They work with you to make sure you feel comfy and enjoy your experience. During the busy season (summer-ish) it can get crowded quickly. Be sure to make a reservation and arrive early. If you do not have a reservation you can wait many hours during the peak times. Can't wait to go again! read more
