one of the best experiences of my life. the staff is amazing, very organize, friendly and so helpful with the check-in process. probably not going to use the right terminology but the tandem jumpers and camera people are great. This is my second time at Skydive Spaceland. First jump was with Clint and today's jump was with Jason. I brought my daughter along and Clint was her instructor. We all laughed and joked. I did a Tandem jump today with Juston and Dawn as videographer. A-MA-ZING!!! Juston was so laid back. I felt relaxed and comfortable. Prior to the jump, he would tell me what I'd have to do. I would tell him what I could do. His response was always, "I can work with that." We were a team. Even though it was unbalance. He has all the knowledge. Lol. Dawn did an awesome job. Really amazing experience and I can't wait to do it again. Loved every second of it but pretty disappointed with the the pictures and video. I had some friends jump with them before and they showed me their amazing photos. I also saw all the photos they advertised on their website that say "your cameraman flies just a few feet away, capturing your exciting skydiving experience." Because of this, me and the two other people I jumped with paid the extra money to get photo and video (like ~$140 extra for each). We never had a cameraman jump with us we just had our diver jump with a go pro on his hand. We got home and saw the dvds with the photos/videos and they are not even close to looking like the advertised photos and the photos my friends got with them not too long ago. Most are just photos of the side of my face or the back of my head. Really, really disappointed in these bad photos. Definitely skydive here but I don't suggest spending all that money on photos to get really bad photos. read more

My only only remark is that I am an attractive 68 year old, please don't think that I am Vain, honest I'm not. 90 pictures are included in your jump, my pictures were horribly terrible, this is my sister's second jump with Spaceland. She is 67 and she said that my pictures were to close, maybe Sara didn't have long arms to extend out more. BUT why can't we wear the face shield like they do. read more

Skydiving has always been very high on my bucket list and when my best friend told me this year she wanted to celebrate her birthday this way I was overly excited but also nervous! This location was recommended by a friend of ours who has jumped here before so he also joined to jump again! We purchased the tickets online and made our reservation through there, very easily. Upon arriving, we signed a very extensive legal waiver/document and then you watch the video required to jump. It's very informative and explains the positions you need to be in so it is important to pay attention. I then waited maybe another 30 minutes for my instructor, Zak, to call me. From the moment I was greeted by Zak he made me feel super comfortable. He explained everything along the way to me and made the process so extremely fun. After boarding the plane, you proceed to go 14,000 ft up and he was still making jokes along the way and telling me what to expect. The feeling of actually jumping is something I can't even describe it into words. I can't wait to jump again and hopefully it will be be with Zak again as he is so incredible!!! If you want to jump again they offer you your 2nd jump for only $99, I didn't purchase it and I regret it! PS I didn't know this but if you feel your instructor was amazing feel free to rip them!!! Awesome experience! I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday. He had no idea we were doing this! I was not nervous at all throughout the whole experience, until when he figured out we were jumping off a plane and seeing him a bit nervous made me nervous. I think we were more excited than nervous! I jumped with Sarah and my boyfriend jumped with the Colombian guy. I forgot his name, but they were both amazing! Really cool people. I had purchased the DVD thinking it worked as a CD and I could retrieve the video and pictures from there as if it was a USB. I was wrong. It's not worth it to just get the DVD by itself. The USB is where all the cool stuff is. The people in the front desk were nice and very helpful. Everyone there is great with first timers. read more

I had a great experience! My first time skydiving and it was a thrill. in. I was honestly surprised by my Girlfriend so the jitters did not hit me till we pulled up to the airport and then bam! Hit me like a ton of bricks. Got real nervous but excited at the same time! As you could imagine, I was scared for my life but if it's my time it's my time ! And guess what? It wasn't! And it was all worth it. I loved every second of it ( it doesn't last very long) but it's worth it to experience at least once in your life. I bought my husband passes to fo skydiving for his birthday on Groupon; yes I was terrified! We had a 1:00pm appointment arrived at 12:00pm signed in a patiently waited. They place your name on this board to let you know when to start getting ready and somehow our names kept getting pushed back. By 2:00 I approached the lady at the desk to see what the holdup was and she couldn't give me a straight answer, the owners wife was there and overheard and was just the nicest. We we're put in the next takeoff and offered free shirts! The husband was awesome he helped us get into our suits told us history which was crazy awesome and off we went. After all the wait man was it worth it!! The whole flying staff is just great, they manage to take away all your fears and let you know that you are about to have the time of your life!! I wish I could remember the gentleman's name who flew with me he literally did over 15 jumps that day and was still pumped. He was talking me threw it the whole time, joking around; but that time I was excited and no longer scared. This place is First Class! I bought a group on for a tandem skydive with this location and absolutely loved it! Everyone was helpfull and reassuring. To be honest I had no time to get scared of jumping out of a plane from how quickly the whole interaction with the staff and watching the warm up educational video was. My tandem partner was energetic and personable which made the experience 10 times better than I could have thought. He let me go last since he knew I would probably be scared and the first person to cheer me on once we landed. He also got some great photos during our skydive! This location allowed us to see both the east and west coast of Florida while dropping as well as lake okeechobee. I don't think that is possible from any other skydiving location in Florida so it's a plus... yes it's in a small town and away from most things but if you wanted to get a great view I'd go here on a clear day. read more

He was very clear with the instructions and gave me a recap on the plane. The instructors and photographers were on point. They did a wonderful job explaining and walking you through everything. The whole process is nerve racking and it was wonderful having them there to calm you down and make sure you are having fun. I had Kim as my videotographer and Joe was my tandem jumper, if I had to do it all over again I would still want them by my side! The only negative was the office staff are horrible and do not by a gift card from them!!!! Its a money pit with all the add ones and hidden fees you later find out about. Had to argue with them about using the gift card towards our jump, they only wanted us to use the gift cards towards our pictures. They finally let us use the gift card towards the jump but had to fight for it. It's an exhilarating experience and I recommend everyone try it at least once! YOLOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! That's what I kept trying to tell myself facing my fear of heights on the 15 minute plane ride to 12,000 feet. Upset I couldn't go to Vegas for my birthday, I said what the heck let me just do something bucket list crazy for my birthday and ding ding! Let's just jump out of a perfectly working plane to celebrate! Lol I must be real persuasive since I convinced 7 other people to skydive with me including my brother and sister. The skydive place is a small airport. As you walk in what seemed like an open warehouse, we saw a huge plane in the middle of everything. A mix of old comfy fabric and leather couches situated on the left side for seating and plenty of old decorated rugs and carpets in the middle floor. Lastly, probably 2 huge rainbow parachutes hanging from the roof in such pretty folds! You walk into their registration and sign pages of consents. Weigh yourself on their scale, and head to a small room for a brief training on safety. I can't help but be paranoid even more from the video since the video was led by a long bearded man emphasizing that anything can go wrong really and if it does, you can't really sue us but more than likely, you'll be fine and don't forget to have fun! Lol I understand it was just a disclaimer. We waited for our names to be called. Their TV screens show the name of the skydiver instructor you'll be with. We were divided into two groups of four. When you're ready, they fit you into a one piece jumpsuit and strap you up. My other friends went first and when they came back, they were ecstatic! though I think they were just as scared as me, they told me there was no reason to be scared at all! So I said to myself, oh it shouldn't be too bad right...? Well alas! The moment has come as we got into the plane. The small plane had a mix of solo divers and tandem. As it was going up, so did my heart rate! I hung on to the side handle so tight that my palms were so red and sweaty! I was trying to keep a straight face while the lady was interviewing me since I bought a video. I hear and look everyone in my plane, all instructors showed no fear but pure excitement! And I'm over here like damn I'm going to die. My nightmare came to life since I didn't know I was jumping out first!!! I did not mentally prepare myself. And what do you know, as we stood up getting ready to jump, THE TEARS STARTED ROLLING!!!! I cried... Like a big baby oh it was ugly. There we were literally on the edge of the door... I see clouds and land all the way down...I was so quite, so scared... There was no turning back...The instructor rocking back and forth counting down 3.. 2... 1! Off we goooo! Oh man anything from the stomach up to my neck, I swear froze for a good 15 seconds. We were free falling 120 mph for a minute. I was scared as hell but after a while it was good! I was literally FLYING! The force of air against my little arms and legs! I'm there trying to smile and grab the hands of the camera lady as my skin flops like crazy! Then at 6,000 ft, Joe my instructor let me pull the parachute! After that, we were just cruising the skies. It was beautiful. There is NOTHING like it. Closest thing to feeling like a bird. Then we landed smoothly, sliding through the grass. Wow, I can't believe i jumped off a freaking plane. Though I gave into my fear of heights, the staff and the environment had no feelings of fear or worry. That made it easier and more assuring to me. You could tell the staff loved their job. Most importantly, they were FUN. It was a terrific experience. Would I do it again? Nope lol. That was the scariest thing of my life but I'm so glad I did it. My fear of regret was bigger than my fear of heights. All my friends plan on doing it again. Is the hour and a half drive at 7am worth driving for? Absolutely. Is it worth paying the price? Absolutely. Is it worth getting the video? ABSOLUTELY. Think about it, it's a bucket list thing to do. Pay the price for experience. I strongly recommend getting the video. The video and pictures were hilarious. Plus, they give you a skydiving certificate with your name on it. This place rocks. Thank you for an amazing Birthday! So jumping out of a plane has finally been crossed off my bucket list! I actually did it! My experience was absolutely unforgettable and amazing. The fact that I felt extremely comfortable with my instructor made the experience that much better. They are all very nice and down to earth people! So here's the deal peeps: Before the fun part you are placed in a room with your group to sign a bunch of papers and watch a video on safety, rules, etc. You have the option to buy a video of you jumping, and I highly recommend it. Your camera man will interview you before and after your jump and will obviously take amazing pictures of you gliding in the sky. I've watched mine a million times! Worth every penny. There was a group of about ten of us, so we got taken up in smaller groups. I was with one other person, so I got to see him jump first. Just a fair warning: for women, when you or your instructor pulls the cord for the parachute to come out, The straps on your chest might hurt, like it did me. So be prepared! After your jump, there are couches to sit around and wait for your pictures and videos to be done. We were starving and wanted to celebrate jumping out of a freaking plane!!! so we asked where the nearest restaurant was. The CDs weren't finished yet, but one of the employees was actually nice enough to bring them to us at the restaurant when she got off work! I highly recommend this place!! No doubt I'll be back for my second jump!! read more

I can't believe I jumped out of a plane!!! No problem, calm almost the whole time. The door of the plane opened and the people in front of my jumped, I was ok with that, but then we were at the door..... I lost it!! If it wasn't for all the nice people that worked there I would of missed the greatest experience anyone could ever have. My tandem partner was really calm and said jump whenever you are ready. I snapped out of it and jumped right into nothing!! Everything was prefect and amazing! Please if you have a chance use this company. I'm sure you'll be happy with this choice ;-) Tips: no drinking alcohol 24 hours before and you might want to take some kind of motion sickness meds. My husband, daughter and myself went skydiving for the first time yesterday. It was AWESOME!! A birthday present for me and a college graduation present for my daughter. The entire process from the time we arrived to when we left was so seamless and easy going that we never even thought about getting nervous. Our appt was set for 11am on a Friday. So we arrived at 10:30, expecting to sign lots of paperwork and watch a safety video. Sure enough we were dressed in jumpsuits and strapped up. The Tandem guys were so cool and easy going. They're whole attitude and tone was "Don't worry, you're going to be strapped with me. Relax and just do what I tell ya. You're gonna have fun!". They were so right!! We loaded up in the plane and the sights out the window of the tiny houses distracted from any butterflies I thought I would get. Then we all started fist-bumping each other for luck before the door opened and the single jumpers went out first. The three of us were the only tandem jumpers, so no worries about getting nervous in front of strangers (other jumpers). But when you stand on the edge of the plane looking out at clouds, feel that cold roaring air blowing over your body, the instructor asks "You Ready?", all that I yelled back was "Holy shit! Yeah!". The feeling was incredible!! The free fall was like... wow! And I pulled the cord to the parachute. Joe, my instructor also showed me how to steer the parachute too! We went in a circle and left & right. The best feeling is just to be floating down, I actually remember thinking to myself 'This is what it's like to fly like a bird'. The air blowing over your arms and body, and seeing everything for miles and miles. If you have fear about skydiving, this is the place to go. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

Someone said at 14000 feet nothing else matters. The process to skydive at the spaceland was a great one. I had purchased my ticket a few months prior and changed the appointment numerous times. Each time they accommodated me and never complained. The place was pretty packed, they make you watched a video about safety and pair you with an instructor. Word of advice pick Gavin if you can. He knew how to calm my nerves and made sure I had a great time. Also if you can pay for pictures and if not purchase your own go pro. While waiting for the adventure I suggest you cool your nerves by taking pictures, lots of them. I know it helped me. read more

Went for my first skydive today. At first I was nervous because it's a very vulnerable position to be in when you're surrounded by professional flying squirrel people but the ambiance in the hangar is amazing. Huge comfy hippie couches, rugs for stretching, a little food truck and awesome employees. The folks inside registration (Manifest) and the instructors were all super chill and kooky individuals. Would definitely recommend trying this place out. I dove with Adam- really fun dude with a British accent and a Dual GoPro. read more

Awful. The "instructor" Juston paid zero attention to the diver, no instructions pre dive, no excitement, no communication, it was like "next" !!!! Video was $70 shot on an old GoPro 4 and then given on a cd rom, I mean who uses cd rom in 2921, but wait, for an extra $20 you can have it on a memory stick, which cost less than $1 from a pack of 100 send from China! The video was awful, no thought into it, the guy clearly didn't give a 5hit about the client. Really really poor experience of what should have been an exciting, thrill seeking adventure. Avoid, there's plenty more places to jump in Florida. read more
