Newly licensed skydiver here! I jumped with Skydive Spaceland Clewiston for the first time back in October. And I started the Skydiver Training Program (STP) the very next month. I chose to get licensed through Skydive Spaceland Clewiston because of their awesome training program and their reputation. Every step of the process was amazing and thorough and if anyone reading is looking to get licensed I highly encourage you to do it through Spaceland Clewiston. The instruction is amazing, the instructors are all awesome, and the DZ and the equipment is all on the same level as well. One of the things that really separates Spaceland Clewiston from other Dropzones who typically offer the AFF program is that Spaceland Clewiston with their STP program allows you to jump with mentors immediately after graduation all the way up until you hit 100 jumps at no extra charge. It's a challenging sport with so much to learn and the ability to work on and learn new skills with awesome mentors is truly an invaluable learning tool. Highlights: Miki is an un-empathetic instructor with no regard for your comfort. Kenn is a great instructor and handled my experience with the utmost care. They have ZERO Covid precautions. This is my second time here and I had an amazing experience the first time. Great jump, comfortable harness, enthusiastic instructor. This time, for whatever reason I got either an inexperienced instructor or he was just plain rude. The jump was great, but once the parachute was released my harness was in the most uncomfortable position I've ever been in. I told him I was uncomfortable, and he tried to fix it and was unable to. Instead of trying again, he told me "I don't know what to tell you." I'm no scientist, but in my opinion it is his job to know how to adjust the harness to make the customer comfortable. My first jump, I comfortably sat and was able to enjoy the five minutes of floating down, this time I was pulled so hard back by the harness I was unable to move my shoulders or legs. I would have been able to excuse the whole interaction if the instructor was empathetic and really tried to fix the situation, but he really just did not care about how I felt. This was made evident by his habitual asking of "how are you" when I HAD JUST INFORMED HIM OF HOW UNCOMFORTABLE I WAS 2 seconds prior. Moral of the story- request an instructor change if you get assigned to Miki. I was with Kenn last time and he was absolutely amazing, 10/10 recommend. Additionally, for COVID reasons I would not recommend coming here. They hypocritically have "masks required" signs everywhere, and my brother and I were the ONLY people in the entire establishment wearing masks. No hand sanitizer anywhere. When I was here a few months ago they checked my temperature before entering, most people wore masks, and they had accessible hand sanitizer. Seems like COVID is gone in Clewiston I guess! read more

My family and I had an incredible experience skydiving for the first time! The team at Skydive Spaceland is energetic and organized, and they make sure everyone has a great time. Shout out to my tandem-jumper Gavin for making my first jump something I will brag about for the rest of my life! Only one small hiccup regarding our videos. My wife and I paid extra to have our videos loaded onto a flash drive in MPEG format for easy downloading and sharing. Unfortunately they were only loaded in a separate incompatible format which made it more difficult. When I called and brought this to their attention, they had the videos emailed to me in the proper format (after some persistence). He is a calm, collected and soulful guy and 110% pro at what he does. Total rockstar instructor. And a reservation online is absolutely free. The other members in my party, who also cancelled, were not charged. Do NOT use these scammers. UPDATE: Tried to get my money back through them, but they kept avoiding me (the manager was mysteriously always out of town). I came here pretty excited and completely set on getting my A certification with these guys, but honestly just got completely turned off by the office staff after my first tandem jump with them. The jump itself went fine, I got no complaints about that or the instructors, I had a good time. But I just got an overall lazy, unhelpful and unwilling vibe from the office staff, which as I said, turned me off to the whole idea of coming back here and wanting to deal with them. Not to sound dramatic, but if I'm choosing a company to hop out of a plane at 14k feet, lazy, unhelpful and unwilling is not really the demeanor I want to get from the employees, even if it is just from the office staff; I don't know where else that company culture might spill into throughout my experience of jumping out of the sky with them. Employee Michelle in particular probably just shouldn't be working there. I initially bought a Groupon for 2 people which came with 2 tandem jumps plus the images, which then upon completion I figured out only includes the still shots, not the video, if you want the video, you have to pay 70 extra bucks... Ok whatever, a little unpleasant of a surprise, but I'm already out here spending money anyways, what the heck, I'll pay another 70 bucks to get my video as well. I call them the next day to purchase and have them send me my video, I get on the phone with Michelle again and she tells me that aside from paying it, I would need to drive all the way back there to physically pick up the CD that they would burn it on. This place is in the middle of nowhere FL, about 2 hours from Miami. In the year of our lord, two thousand and twenty one, twenty first century, where we have electric cars, rockets going to Mars and facial recognition, Michelle is telling me in a completely unpleasant, rude, impatient and unhelpful demeanor that that is the ONLY way possible to get it to me, there is no other way to get it to me. if I want my video I have to physically drive there to pick up a physical copy of my digital media. After arguing about this with her and explaining to her that I am now out of town and that will not be returning soon, she then says that she could ship it to me if I paid for the shipping. Then I explain to her, no I am out of the COUNTRY, can you pleaaaaase just send it to me via email, Dropbox, wetransfer, whatsapp, telegram, or any other 21st century technology, it doesn't even matter... it's already in digital format and I am across the world. Then she gets off the phone once again to go consult the higher office peers and comes back to tell me that yes, in fact they could email it to me(surprise surprise, I guess it was just a matter of willingness), but that would cost an extra $30 bucks. At this point my one tiny 2 min video was going to come out to about 100 bucks... about what I paid for the dive itself! When I tried to ask her to at least waive that extra fee that she was mysteriously charging, her answer was basically "well its normally $170, so I'm sorry, can't do anything for you, bye, hung up the phone. Lol At this point I just figured you know what, forget the whole thing. It's obviously not even about the $30 bucks at this point, I had actually purchased a second tandem dive with them and was getting ready to sign up for their certification course and drop about $3k with them, but after this, plus some other minor situations with the office staff and Michelle particularly that just built up, I was just totally turned off to going back there. By all means, keep my $90 bucks I just paid for the second tandem dive, and I'll just find another place to get my certification. To me this was just showing how the interaction was going to be and I decided I'd rather not deal with them long term. read more

Absolutely outstanding first dive experience. The office staff made registration and sign in a breeze, the schedule is posted on two large screens in the hanger so you know right when you'll be heading up, the instructors and camera people are first class! Made the jump a memorable experience from suit up to touchdown. The facility is large with ample space to relax while waiting for your jump, the shop is well stocked with memorabilia and the finished jump video was extremely well edited and a great way to remember the experience. This is the first review I've ever posted, which should say how much of an amazing experience skydiving was with the team at Skydive Spaceland in Clewiston was for my son and me. My son turned 21 a few weeks back so I surprised him by taking him skydiving. The staff and facilities were extremely friendly and professional. This was the very first skydiving experience for both of us but we were at ease because the staff gave us very detailed instructions and they answered all of our questions. In my case in particular, Gavin #D29913 (highly recommend him), kept things light, was very thorough and professional throughout the gearing up process. On the plane ride he kept everyone loose and once again explained what to expect. A few moments later, off we went. The actual freefall and then the parachuting down were 2 different and incredible experiences. You got the AMAZING adrenaline rush from the freefall followed by the cool breeze, where you only heard your parachute and the wind followed by incredible views. Simply incredible. I was told and read that you freefall for 1 minute and then parachute down for 5-7 minutes. This seemed like a lot prior to the jump, however, it happened in the blink of an eye. A few moments after I landed. I saw my son land and his first words were, "AMAZING, I want to do that again!!!!" The staff in the registration/gift shop area were just as amazing and very friendly throughout the check-in process. The t-shirt my son wanted wasn't available in his size, not to worry, someone in the shop said she was ordering more that week and would make sure she sent the t-shirt he wanted in his size to our home. Sorry for the long post full of so many "amazings" and "incredibles", however, it was well-deserved. This was my second jump at skydive Spaceland, the first time around i had Mikki who was absolutely amazing. The jump went exactly as planned and without a doubt every moment of the jump was exhilarating. Mikki even let me control the landing to an extent which made me feel as though i got a lot more than i paid for out of the experience as well as he took some amazing pictures. I like the jump so much that i went ahead and purchased my second jump for 99$ minutes after landing. My second jump was yesterday and without a doubt i couldn't wait to get in the air. This time around I had Gavin who i have to say is one of the funniest people ive ever met and made the experience amazing, Level two was great with doing two 360's in the air as well as being able to pull the cord ourselves and controlling the shoot all the way to the ground. He made my second jump a memorable one and without a doubt i feel as though when i save up ill be back in no time to get certified for the STEP class. All in all i have to say Skydive Spaceland was great, the staff are amazing and very knowledgeable about what they do and without a doubt any jumper is safe in their hands. My boyfriend and I went skydiving for Valentine's Day this year and it couldn't have been a better first time experience! This place is absolutely awesome. If you want the best skydiving experience in South Florida, this is the place to go. The people are highly professional, and accommodating. They also have the nicest plane of any of the skydive centers I've been to. For me it was a particularly meaningful experience. I have a physical disability that limits mobility in my hips. I tried to skydive at other facilities in Florida and was not allowed to jump, either because their equipment was inadequate or they just didn't want to bother with me. At Skydive Spaceland, even though I showed up at the last minute, without an appointment, and having to transfer payment for the jump from another facility, the entire team went out of their way to make sure that I would be able to experience a jump and to do so safely. My tandem partner, Gavin, and my videographer, Joe, did an amazing job - I highly recommend them. I will be back at Skydive Spaceland in August for my second tandem jump! read more

I went with my old man on Memorial Day and I couldn't have been happier. I looked around and asked around and in the end, I chose Skydive Spaceland. My old man has been working in Clewiston for many years now so finding the place was no problem. Great place to skydive. The people there are very friendly and willing to help. Had some good jumps with fellow skydivers. The drive from Miami is approx. 1-1/2 hour, but traffic is not bad. The landing area is a decent size and had no problem landing. They have a guy with a food truck that brings foods and drinks. Very good experience. Highly recommended. read more
