Wanted to try out a new car service for the talent I have to book travel for through work. Checked out Yelp to see who had great reviews for the San Diego area and found Skye Limousine. Called them and spoke to Debra who is very friendly and helpful. They send you a confirmation via email which you have to confirm once you've reviewed that the information is correct. Then they email you an invoice the day after service. If the driver happens to get stuck in traffic, she will call and let you know. I asked one of the guys to provide me with feedback on the service and this is what he said: "I thought it was great! The drivers were super nice. I even exchanged numbers with one of them. Plus the cars were very nice and high tech with DVD player, etc. And soda and water!" Will definitely be using them again! :) read more

This limo svc is OFF THE CHAIN! I used them to go see the Mets play at Petco, and it was just awesome. on time, great driver, and the Seats were just left of Home plate, in Toyota Terrace. I've used Skyy a few times in the past and I've really enjoyed their services. Calling to schedule a pick up is easy and they're always right on time. I mean seriously, like not a second late. The drivers are very nice and professional. Its way better to use them for a ride to the airport then a taxi. You can sit back, relax and enjoy a drink before you get on the plane. Also, the guy I talked to on more then one occasion, Derek is a complete sweetheart. Very, very nice and efficient. Was planning on booking services through this company. I spoke with 3 different people every time I called I was disconnected then when I called back the guy didn't know who had given me the quote for my service so I explained who the guy was i spoke to and asked to speak with the manager who had given me the quote and was told he's too busy to talk to me. I would not reccomend this company I think they're just in it for the money and don't care about the customer. read more

Used this company for my brother's birthday and we wanted to surprise him. Spoke to what I thought was a manager Debra Hunter, and I explained that I had a bad limo experience in the past with another company and the car was run down and dirty, she assured me that their cars were in excellent shape. She was very nice on the phone BUT - when the car showed up it was dirty, smelled like body odor, there was a small tear in the leather bench, the bar area was coming apart from the car and you could see wires in the gap. Large sections of lights on the ceiling were burned out and one section was starting to hang down from the roof and shook the entire time during the ride. The drink holder next to me had a wrapper from candy in it and was filthy. There was just an overall level of grim in all the vents and crevices of the car. While still in front of my house, I called the company. The person who answered indicated they would have the manager call me. The manager I believe her name was Andrea, was confrontational, and offered no financial solution of course and tried to tell me that I called her Driver Mentally Disabled and she had witnesses - ridiculous. I felt lied to, thankfully, the car was dark, and I was hoping my family would not notice. Andrea attempted to turn the tables on me inferring I was lying as the car had just come from their detailer (they should fire the detailer). I told her I would be taking pictures, I will probably email them the company. She did however offer to have the driver clean the car at the next stop I said that would not be possible due to our dinner reservations and we had other people to pick up. He could however, clean it while we were having dinner. When we returned the drink holder was clean but of course, the rest of the issues could not be resolved. The driver was nice but did not know how to work the radio, which was some aftermarket thing, placed into the car in an odd place. I will say that he was polite and on time but that is what you pay for. I would find another company and I will never use this company again and neither should you. read more

These guys where amazing. Called them on such short notice, they allowed me to book 2 one-way transfers instead of paying for a 5 hour minimum. They included a fully stocked bar and even came to pick us up earlier than scheduled when we called our drive. So accomodating and very nice staff. Thanks guys! read more

I recently used Skye for a girls night out for my friends 40th birthday. I am very happy with the services. Their price was reasonable and I like that it was one fee, including tip, so you know up front what you're paying. The limo was clean and stocked as promised. The only reason I didn't give the full 5 stars is because I was told the Excursion would fit 15 people and we had 10 (mostly slim) girls and one of us almost had to sit on the floor. It wasn't the most comfortable, but it was still fun. The driver, Todd, was excellent. Very friendly, on time, and professional. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

I have used this service a few times years ago, so when planning an evening out to a concert I called them again. After reviewing their website and appreciating their "all included price quote" (GRATUITY, gas, taxes etc. EVERYTHING) I called and left a message that evening. Next day at noon, no response so I called again. After telling them 2 people round trip to concert and pick up times, she quoted an 8 person limo. A little overkill, but okay how much? She quoted me 50.00 more than website and then asked how will I pay my gratuity? I said I thought it was all included according to the website. "No, the company has a new owner about a year and a half ago, the website hasn't been updated." A year and a half!? And still using a website with rates and an "all included" sales pitch!? Made me feel like they are playing the old Bait and Switch. And according to all the other poor reviews, the actual service is going down hill too. I'll look for another service thank you. read more

Derek the CO founder must have misunderstood my friendly tone when I emailed him about unexpected costs that were assessed to our airport pickup and drop off. This could be MY fault for not asking all of the right questions about what fees were to be incurred. When he said $80 all-in I clearly misunderstood something. Upon receiving the bill (that I had to request twice to receive) of $160 I asked if there was any way he could help us out. He responded with the most incredible distaste and rudeness I have ever encountered from a business. The only explanation my entire office could come up with was that he must have been taking a very bad day out on me. This is very unfortunate for the friendly folks I have worked with at Skye Limo in LA as we will no longer be using their services ever again. I will also make it a point to let all of the production companies that I work with know about our experience... some of which have Skye listed as a go-to vendor. Maybe not anymore. I wish I could post his emails to share with all but I am not as cold and vindictive as he. I'll be sticking with Avalon from now on. read more

I recently went on a wine tour of Temecula with 13 friends. I was very excited. I was able to secure the limo and get plans set up easily and was pleased with Debra and the owner Derrick's help. That is where my experience went sour. We had 13 people so they contracted out the limo because they can not accommodate more than 10. The limo was for 14 ( if you count the small seat separate in the back where you can not converse with the rest of the group) The limo driver had no personality and had plastic trash bag material on the carpet. He told us we could not eat in the limo and we were charged for an extra half an hour when we were a few minutes late. I will not use this limo service ever again and would not recommend it to anyone I know. read more

Setting up a bachelor party for my brother was a breeze with Derek and Debra. Not only did they send a confirmation e-mail, but they also were very flexible with a last minute time change. Debra and Derek were super friendly and very professional. The Limo was in immaculate condition with modern electronics, although a bass sub-woofer would have been a great addition, we still enjoyed the beats. Jennifer (our chauffeur) was very professional and very cool. She has to deal with a lot of crap, so take care of her! She was prompt and attentive, and kept the car stocked with ice, scotch and vodka. All in all, my brother had a great and memorable bachelor party and we rode San Diego in style! I'm not shocked to go on here and see over 50 bad reviews with this company. And it's not surprising any of the good ones were from 2009... It's 2014. I had the worst experience with Debra and am glad because I didn't have to waste my money. I had been going back and forth with this company to rent a limo for my wedding. I was given a quote that I thought sounded great. But when I went to order Debra very aggressively told me ALL the pricing that was given was wrong. She than agreed to honor half and told me I would have to take a sedan back from my wedding if I wanted the pricing I was given. I don't understand how their lack of communication results in my being punished when I had nothing to do with wrongly given information. It is not a professional way to run a proper business.
