Do not book with this transportation company. Initially they were helpful sending quotes etc, however when the day of our wedding came the transport for our guests was horrible. The shuttle departed late. Guests were given the authority to change the itinerary and make Stops that were not authorized by myself or my partner. One driver even got lost. Reps were very quick to give us timestamps for these stops and were aware that these would delay the prompt arrival of guests. This resulted in our wedding ceremony being delayed by 1.5 hours which was a large portion of our wedding day. Many of our vendor services were not fully used because of this loss of time. We then received a charge first thing the next day for each stop that was not authorized. When I contacted the company, customer facing reps were unapologetic for the frustration we had to encounter on our wedding day and the loss of time and experience we had with our family and friends who traveled from all across the world to be with us. Management that had the power to financially right this wrong refused to speak us. They were equally unprofessional to our venue staff as well. We used Men In Black Transportation for our transportation to/from our wedding ceremony/reception in early April. As the groom of the wedding, I had limited interactions with the driver of our limo bus (which was very nice and spacious!), but we heard no complaints from any of our guests. They pretty much did everything we asked them to do, and on time, which is ultimately the most important thing. One thing I would have liked would have been some slightly more flexible options regarding payments/hours of usage, since we ultimately only used about 1.5 hours of service, but had to pay for the four hours of downtime in between. I understand that's a tough thing to ask for, and most other transportation options had the same restrictions, but that was my only real gripe. read more

CAUTION...Read this if you are thinking about using this business for a large group or event: We recently used MIB for a wedding; transporting guests and a bridal party from Mission Beach to San Marcos. We contracted two 56 passenger buses, one 28 passenger bus and three private cars. Their motto is "Reliable, Punctual, Global." This was true for 60% of the service they provided. The other 40% was extremely mismanaged. It started with the bridal party bus going to the wrong venue; another guest passenger bus got lost going to the venue; on the return, one bus was 30 minutes late in picking up our guests and none of the private vehicles were at the pre arranged designated pick up location...thus creating much confusion. The reason we had a prearranged pick up location is because we had grandmothers that were 80+ in age that we wanted to put at ease with this pick up not having them walk down or up a strenuous hill. This was my wedding day. Not only did I have all of these transfers planned to a tee months out, but I personally followed up with MIB 3 moths out, 1 month out, 1 week out, 1 day out and the morning of to make sure that everything was clear. I made sure if there as any question, it was answered so that everything could run smoothly. I am still confused to this day where the disconnect was when I was told multiple times that it was under control. I understand things come up when coordinating a large group; however, my father had to deal with all of this on a day that was so special for him and to me. All he wanted was to make things for his out of town guest convenient. That is why we went above and beyond to make sure everything was clear and understood multiple times leading up to the event. As it turned out, many of our guests were grossly inconvenienced. What made things worse, my father called MIB a good hour and a half prior to the wedding ending to re confirm pick up times and locations...this obviously was not heard because it couldn't have gone more wrong. MIB may be reliable for airport transfers but their ability to manage larger transportation needs is not there. I had asked for a refund for the gratuity that was pre charged, for the buses that failed to provide the expected service...they decided not to do that. However, MIB did waive a waiting charge for one bus taking off 30 minutes late on the way up to the venue. There was also an incident when my 8 month pregnant sister- in- law asked the driver multiple times to pull over because she was car sick, he finally did and she was able to relieve herself outside of the vehicle. However, MIB decided they were doing us a "service" by not charging us for that "stop on the side of the freeway"...... We didn't ask for an entire refund despite how unreliable they were, we only asked for the gratuity that was pre charged to be refunded because that service did not happen. Do yourself a favor and do not hire them for any event of any kind. read more

Disappointing. I am wondering if it is due to the labor shortage as we have used them a lot and always had a good experience. This was the first time our driver seemed put out by having to get out of the car to put our bags into the SUV. I couldn't tell if he was waiting for us to do it. What truly upset me, however, was when I asked him to put on a mask. The website mentions the use of masks and I assumed he would be wearing one. When I asked him to put on a mask he said "I don't wear masks." I asked him again and offered one to him and he reluctantly agreed. It was an unpleasant exchange and vibe in the car. He was a little friendly at the end. Given how ambiguous masking is right now if the drivers are not required to wear them then it would be good to ask customers in advance if they need their drivers to be masked. read more

After reviewing my options to get from La Jolla to the San Diego Airport I found this to be the best option. I already had heard good things about them and knowing I would be gone for five days I was looking at over $100 in parking at Park 'n Ride, and close to $60 for a cab ride and way over $120 to park in the airport lot. So these guys advertise $32 from La Jolla to SAN Airport. I booked it. The driver showed up right on time...actually about 10 minutes early. Had no problem waiting for us to be ready. The Lincoln Town Car was spotlessly clean, and the driver was quite handsomely dressed. Loaded and unloaded all of our luggage and held to the $32 fee. No surprises....and they have digital terminals in the cars so you can pay with credit card right in the car! Nice! Rates are way better than a taxi and more classy as well. A friend and I decided to use MIB to take us to La Jolla from Mission Valley instead of a cab. The rate seemed fair and the service seemed convenient. On a scale of disappointed to Very Satisfied...I was APPALLED. The driver was late, his driving verged on scary and he was disrespectful. As someone who works with many different transportation companies, I have NEVER in all my years had a "professional" driver give his customer the middle finger as he drove off. I've been taking MIB for all of my business travel to and from the airport for about 2 1/2 years now, and couldn't be happier. They are always on time, and I love their impeccable follow through. You can schedule your pickup online or you can call in and speak to a polished professional who will confirm your reservation and send you a confirmation email. Four hours before pick up, they send you a confirmation of payment. Be sure to cancel your reservation before the four hour window. Upon pick up, the driver calls and texts you at their arrival, usually 10 minutes early to let you know they're outside. They are always dressed in a suit and are impeccable in their manners by loading and unloading your bags, opening your door, etc. They also track your flight so there's no worry of pick up time if you're delayed. When they pick you up, they communicate through their dispatch system that you've gotten in the car. As a solo traveling young woman, I appreciate this confirmation and communication through their team. It's about $59 including gratuity for an airport pick up/drop off if you live within a 20 minute radius. I highly recommend Men In Black for any of your transportation needs. I used this company for transportation from a residential area to a concert in Chula Vista, CA. The reason we chose to use this service is because people within the group could not decide on whether to take a limo or a cab. I suggested we use this company because it was nicer than a yellow cab and cheaper than limo transporation. Also, the drive was about 20 miles, and with all of the traffic we sat in, a cab would have been far more expensive than the $80 (including gratuity) that we spent for MIB services. The ride TO the venue was fantastic. Aside from a mix-up with this address, the driver was 10 minutes early and was extremely pleasant. We had a group of 4 and he seemed to be about our age (20-25). We made conversation with him and he even stopped off the freeway because one of the girls had to pee really bad. The problem was the ride home. The driver did not answer his phone the first 10 times I called him. He made us walk to him (about a mile out from the venue) and was EXTREMELY rude once we got to the car. I complained how far we had to walk and he said to me, the person who would later be tipping him, "well what did you expect me to do?" I'm sorry, but if I am paying for your services and your tip is included in my fee, I expect you to do everything in your power to find us. Also, the car was squeeky and he consistently slammed on his breaks, probably because he was upset that I was rude to him. By the way, his name was ARMAN, and if you ever use this service, make sure you request that you DO NOT get Arman. Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the extremely nice sir that drove us to the venue. My best advice is to maybe ask for the names of the drivers before you book the service. Maybe next time I will just go with the limo to ensure that I do not get a rude/terrible driver on the way home that expects me to walk a mile at midnight in the cold san diego weather to find him. read more

I used Men In Black last week for multiple trips to and from downtown San Diego and Leucadia. We hired them to pick up and drop off some business contacts for events at our house and returning back to a hotel downtown. I also used them for a trip to an event in the city as well. I would highly recommend their services. Not only were they on time but they called in advance of their arrival. I was able to prepay for the rides and keep my card on file so I didn't have to worry about paying upon arrival at my destination or to take care of pre-arranged rides for business contacts. The staff who both answered the phone and drove us were very friendly and helpful. One gentlemen even lost his camera in the SUV ride (highly recommend this as it was nice for our clients). I called the next day and the camera was delivered to me the same night upon my pick-up. (Unlike a typical cab ride where if you lose something, consider it GONE...I was told they check the car after every drop off to be sure nothing was left). The cars were very nice and clean (apparently cleaned EVERY day). And you can't beat their prices. I know they are new in town and are keeping their prices about $5 below the rest of the cabbies/etc. but they'll get my business any day. Note: they are really just in the business for airport transfers but if you have the need to go from N. County or elsewhere to downtown or have business contacts in town I would highly recommend this service. I was ready to book a couple days later and the lady I spoke to increased the price by a few hundred dollars!!! What good is it to give a quote and then not honor it? We have used them 3 times now for different trips. 40 bucks from Mission valley to the airport is a steal. The cars are clean, always early, and are large sedans. The drivers most of the time are foreigners, which is a bit of a put off at first, being that their English is not usually very good, but every single one of them has been great. The Yukon was spacious enough for 4 adults, a child w/ carseat, and luggage for a week. The vehicle was very clean and the driver was very courteous and professional.
