As I walked in I was immediately greeted by Rosa, right away she was very welcoming and asked if I had anything I needed prayer for. I was really impressed, also taken aback from a stranger in a mall store setting asking if I needed prayer. I asked Rosa if she would pray for my husband's trip on his motorcycle to Michigan, for his cousin's Memorial Motorcycle Ride, after her battle with Cancer that she lost in April. Needless to say I had already asked for protection for him but she was very serious about praying and right there in the middle of the store she prayed with passion for my husband and anxiety of him traveling long distance. I left the store with exactly what I wanted and what I had intended to pay for. Such a pleasure to do business with them... so my husband left on Wednesday and arrived on Thursday tired but safe. Things looked great till Saturday morning he was traveling to meet the family and for the services, he took a road that morning he normally would not have taken, as he was unaware that the road had a sharp turn in the road he was not prepared for. As he entered the turn he realized his only choices were to slide on asphalt and really injure himself or take a chance going into the field, he chose the field but didn't see that it had a ditch and after that he just prepared for his body to get protected by his gear. His Motorcycle went in one direction and he said he flipped over the bike into midfield after tumbling once more in the air and landed in midfield. Thankfully He was protected by our Heavenly Father. With only some bruises where he touched down onto the ground. Im so super Grateful for the ladies in the store willing to help me find the right gift for my family and most importantly the heartfelt prayers and care they showed me in the store!! Thank you so much for making my heart feel a little lighter during some tough times and hopeful for a new Generation of believers to continue to inspire those around them. For this I'm very grateful. And, while I definitely don't purchase something every time I drop by, I always fall in love with some new creation of hers. Antique zodiac pendant necklaces, stunning vintage glass earrings, sweet rhinestone wrap bracelets, amazing cuffs and so much more. She does a fab job of posting new creations on her website and Facebook page, too. I've also noticed that she's added more to the $30-$70 range in the store - which I (and I'm sure my husband) really appreciate. The store is located on East Blvd above IC London and Sloan, and is such a cute space chock-full of treasures. I recently stopped in during Yelp's Fabulous Frocking Tour and purchased a pair of STUNNING yellow emerald cut studs. I will wear these constantly. And at only $78 (plus the 25% off discount from the tour), they were a steal. Laura even came up with the ingenious idea to have "wish lists" in store so ladies can go in and pick out items they like, then send in their significant other to pick from the list. This takes the guess work out of buying jewelry, which is uber-helpful to those guys who know nothing about doing that. I came across a Made By Custom booth at the Filmore Vintage Pop Up Shop a while back and I saw this floating ring (pictured) that I instantly fell in love with. I'm not huge on jewelry and it takes a lot for me to like a piece and then to actually purchase it knowing that I'd wear it. My birthday came up shortly after and my boyfriend got me the floating ring and I am literally obsessed with it. It is so beautifully made, the jewels look great in it and somehow, for not being a simple ring, it looks so simple and perfect, while still looking badass. The craftsmanship is just great. I went back in to get it tightened and it was impossible for me to get to the desk without selecting several other pieces I wanted to see. (Side note: the shop is on Nodas busy block, shares it's space with a bike shop, and is very cute and simple). Their pieces are one of a kind and there has, hands down, got to be something in there for everyone. I fell in love with several things, purchased one (pictured) right on the spot (haven't taken it off) and have plans to go get a few more. Like I said, I don't usually love jewelry so this is a big deal. There are some out there pieces but really, everything is beautiful, whether it be in an obvious way or their own refreshingly off beat way. Also, the staff (not 100% sure if I spoke to an owner or employee, so 'staff' it is) was unbelievably helpful and friendly. I fumbled around with a few pieces and stared at my fingers a lot and never felt pressured, uncomfortable, or annoying. They also do custom pieces (engagement rings, etc) upon request and several meeting and also reconstruct heirloom jewelry which I'm sure I'll be using at some point in time!
