This place has significantly grown in membership and appearance in wear and tear is quite prominent in their equipment, walls, fans, etc. It is crowded throughout the day. I usually go here anywhere around 7-9 pm and there is always a handful of gym-goers everywhere. The 2nd floor also lingers with humidity even though they have dehumidifiers set up. The staff seems to have reduced since I last remembered. My interaction with them during sign-ups was weird. They didn't introduce themselves, didn't ask me my name or friendly questions. I told them I was looking to sign-up, and they silently started doing stuff on the computer and handed me a clipboard. Not the best hospitality in-house, but hey, you'll always get a "hi" when you enter and a "have a good day / night" when you leave at the least. Overall, it's a great gym with everything you need when it's not crowded. I really wish they would expand their locations.

Its a hard sell to parents that are just trying to do their best for their kid and are easily deceived & boy do they lay it on THICK. Next is the whole "Ohana" or 'family' bs they try to sell. I don't care what they say, there is no Ohana or team feel here. Girls/parents screw each other over all the time - its literally a pit of viper parents. Really, its bad - the worst club experience x 100 - because you have to schedule your own partners (NO, they do not help or pay) and schedule your own games - with other moms, complete with ego's & rampant backstabbing that Dakine is aware of but does nothing to step in. Its not much better on the Elite travel team. Fork over $3k for the summer & winter - and if you are not part of the ~10 favored Chris crew - you are just a funding source for them. Know this going in, they WILL treat you and your daughter poorly. They WILL NOT help you with partners to play with. You WILL get lots of smiles and BS, until you figure out (like most of us) you were completely duped. They completely lull you into a sense of security that they will take care of you. THEY DO NOT. This alone is a benefit because it is less harsh on my skin and I don't feel itchy all the time. Plus the chlorine smell isn't in everything we bring home. BTAC also has space and flexibility. You aren't dodging people or waiting in line for the mass of people to let you in. Our suggestions are taken seriously instead of the 'Its not my job' answers I always got at the Y. They have kids programs and events, and loaner rackets and goggles for anyone in need. The lifeguards are super nice! And help swimmers outside of class when they are around. I will say, the club does need some updating in the locker rooms, and some other areas, but I'm happy with our experience so far.

I found it to be a great deal. Miles showed up around and taught us a lot! He was very knowledgeable and patient. Everything is in very good shape. We got to try bouldering, auto belay, and top roping. Also got a tour of their gym, which includes a lot of climbing-specific equipment along with tradition gym equipment. The place is very spacious but there did seem to be a lot of families on the weekend, so a little crowded near the auto belay. Not a knock, just something to be aware of when timing your visits. They have a lot of events and theme nights too. It's just a really cool place, hoping I can build some muscles so I'm not so sore next time, and can come back soon!
