    Skylark Cafe

We were staying in town from Texas for a family reunion, and we decided to take a walk to the Skylark Cafe for dessert. First off, this little cafe is adorable! The building itself looks like it's out of a storybook. They were packed the evening we went. We had a party of 6 and luckily, we were quickly seated on the porch. Originally, we were going for the Strawberry Pie, in honor of our grandparents who had moved up here from Texas to farm strawberries, but that was already sold out. We ordered six different desserts and we tried them all. ALL of them were absolutely delicious! Desserts ordered were : blueberry buttermilk pie, turtle, pistachio and white chocolate cheesecake, chocolate Oreo mousse cake, Mississippi Mud cake, and pecan pie. There wasn't a single morsel left. Can't wait to stop in again during our next trip to Arkansas.

What wonderful place I found with your help for lunch on our journey headed to Branson. Everything was homemade. Is there any other way?? The house is adorable and the food is wonderful! The staff were super friendly! We ordered the Turkey & avocado sandwich and the Ham & jack sandwich, 1 side comes with the sandwich. We choose the spinach and cheese dip & tortilla chips. I didn't think it could get any better, try the cheese dip on your sandwich. Ohlala! You must safe room for dessert. They are know for their strawberry pie and I will say it's the best pie I have ever had. We will definitely made sure our route home includes this place.

DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE. Epidomy of a hidden gem. It is located in a house with a small side parking lot. Everything about this place was amazing. The service, the food, the drinks, the dessert. We got greeted by a friendly host that got us seated right away. When our waitress came she shared they were having a bloody mary special, that were glad we tried. It was a very good. We tried the spinach cheese dip, the ham + Jack, and the turkey + avocado. They were all delicious. Make sure you save room for dessert. If you don't, order some to go.

Went here after floating the Buffalo and it did not disappoint! I got their special of the day - carbonara and it was really good. Other people in my group got the nachos and sandwiches all of which looked really good. It was a little busy when we got there so the service was a tad slow but still great overall. The restaurant is in an old house with a bunch of vintage decor which was one of my favorite parts. They also have a bunch of dessert options. I didn't personally try any but some people in my group got the strawberry pie and it looked delicious.

Tammy, Jill, Cason and I stopped by Skylark for lunch on our way to Branson for a weekend trip. Skylark is one of our favorite restaurants, and we try to stop here every time we come through Leslie. The restaurant is in a renovated older house, tastefully decorated in a colorful, hip vibe. They offer indoor and outdoor dining, and we usually try to be seated on the screened back porch. Our server was friendly and attentive and took care of all our needs. All our entrees were delicious, as usual, but I will focus on my entree. I ordered the large Guacamole and tortilla chips for an appetizer, which was large enough for the four of us. Everything is house made, and I believe the tortilla chips are, as well. My entree was the Hickory Smoked Pork Tacos. You can order 2 or 3. Each is composed of a double layer of soft corn tortillas, which keeps them from falling apart like other tacos can, filled with their smoked pork and a variety of other fillings. Very delicious and prepared perfectly! At the bottom of the menu is a statement that the tacos are perfect as is, but they will modify them if you wish. But, they jokingly state they will talk smak about you in the kitchen. This restaurant is highly recommended, and we look forward to the next time!

Wow what a place! This was recommended to us as we navigated the small towns of northern Arkansas and we couldn't have been more delighted. The food was excellent, including desert and the service was friendly. And the space! Cozy and unique. I couldn't recommend more highly.

Caution: you may produce tears from the beautiful views. If you love nature and coffee, this might be the absolute perfect spot for you. This cute, little blue cabin structure offers local roasted coffees, teas and other drinks. As well as, freshly made daily, pastries. I was driving through for a meeting in Harrison, AR and wanted to stop by and get medium coffee for my two-hour meeting. I also ordered, "Jalapeño Sausage Biscuit." Normally, I don't order sausage or biscuit, but this was homemade. The taste and texture spoke for itself. Sometimes, biscuits will either be made in a way where they're too hard or too soft/saggy. But I can honestly say, this was unexpectedly perfect biscuit. The young gentleman was so friendly and polite. When I ordered coffee, he brewed me a fresh batch, even though I was the only one in the store. They offer nine different full-leaf teas in glass jars. Along with sixteen different coffee flavors. Besides good drink and food, you can also explore and purchase varieties of rocks that are homemade by the owners, of this family-owned place. If you love picturesque nature, supporting small businesses and good coffee, Rock-N-Java is a must stop for you.
