It's a great way to experience Japan's rich history, culture, and traditions and offers a range of tours that cater to all interests and needs. You're not stuck in a specific tour throughout your visit! tldr; Its been a fire trip

He arranged flights, visas, lodgings, transportation, and itinerary. We stuck to the itinerary pretty closely, but had more than enough time at each location to explore and take it all in. We also had the option to be spontaneous and change things and veer off on our own whenever so desired. One of the best parts of touring through Japan was the exploration of Japanese food. It was mind blowing how good it was. Nathan has a serious adventure for the cuisine and his love of it was infections, had us all trying everything under the sun and loving the experience. My biggest sightseeing highlight was the boat ride to and tour of the island of Miyajima. Miyajima is a sacred island that promotes calmness and serenity, and wild deer that want to eat everything in your hands if that's your thing. Highly recommend booking a tour with Nathan and The Japan Tour Company. It was completely stress free to have someone handling all the necessary items for a successful trip, we were able to just tune out of the details and enjoy the experience of being in a foreign country. If Japan is on your bucket list, definitely go, you won't regret it.

My friend had a Groupon but missed pulling the trigger on an online reservation. Luckily she called the company and they were kind enough to get us scheduled in for that same day. My friend and I appreciated being given a choice as to which to focus on - wine or wine country. Our vote was a little more country.  The tour took us through grapevines where we sampled grapes at different stages of ripening.  We sipped some great wine and had a delicious Neapolitan pizza from Pizza Bina at Chapin Family Vineyards. Our guide Bryan was truly a professional - engaging, thoughtful, enthusiastic and a wealth of knowledge about not only the wineries but the history of the region.  He even took pro photos of our excellent adventure!

Found this company a couple months ago when inquiring about a wine tour to Valle de Guadalupe…read more Unfortunately, they were booked out but Jane was kind enough to not only connect me with another person in the industry who could offer the tour location we wanted AND offer us a package for a different location. I was truly blown away by her transparency and her communication so I decided to proceed with her company. It was super easy to coordinate the logistics and itinerary. Not only was the itinerary perfectly curated, but she went above and beyond to make my group feel celebrated and appreciated. She congratulated my group on our accomplishments and even got me a cute "bride" headband to celebrate my recent engagement. Very sweet and thoughtful! In addition, safety is clearly a top priority. The date we chose happened to be an extremely hot day and Jane took initiative to rearrange our itinerary to make sure we could still enjoy the day and keep as cool as possible. Lunch was catered from a local farm to table local business and it was absolutely delicious- definitely make sure you have enough appetite to enjoy it! We also paid extra for a wine and cheese pairing and we are SO glad we did. Some things to consider/ tips: 1. Our day started a little rocky due to inevitable traffic and a wrong turn, but Jane quickly resolved the issue with the driver and we had a great time moving forward. If you have the option to board your shuttle early definitely do it. 2. Time at each winery is pretty limited.. you won't have too much time to take all the photos you'd like AND sit and enjoy your tastings per winery visit.. if you're determined to get a good selection of photos bring your glass with you and do your best to keep up with those just tasting. There were a few moments we felt a bit rushed because we wanted to do both. 3. If music selection on your shuttle is important to you, have the person in charge of tunes arrive to the shuttle early to set up the blue tooth. It was trickier to set up than we aniticpated so there was a good 20 minutes of silence and troubleshooting happening as we were on the road Overall, Jane is a SUPERB host and does everything in her power to make sure you have the best experience. If i wasn't moving soon I'd definitely want to book this experience again!

However, it got a bit better later, mainly because the manager was really great with the way she handled matters. I would give the place a 2 starts and her attitude and work ethic a solid 4.5 starts. Overall this averages out to 3.5 stars. First the disappointment part: In my opinion this is not worth the price it definitely left a lot to be desired in terms of quality of rooms. Our 2 room suite had broken furniture in the living room, bathroom and the sliding door between the room was broken. The bathroom window curtain rod was broken and actually came apart and fell down while I was showering with rusty nails falling in tub. There was no walk-in shower which might be okay but the tub was also not cleaned well and a bit rundown. For people traveling with kids or lot of luggage, please be aware there is no concierge service/bell boy or carts, there is also no way to disembark from the car with luggage before parking. Parking is a walk away, so be prepared to walk with luggage. There is a valet service which will help out at extra cost. The room service ends at 9pm. On the first day, the customer service was not good. We got more "No" than "Yes" from the front desk but the customer service improved next day and the hotel manager was really great (Henrietta) which made up for the first day and drove me to give it a 3 star review). We requested a roll over extra bed/mattress. I don't have a comparison of the quality of this in other hotels but the bed we received was like a hospital bed and very uncomfortable to sleep in. The suite faced the front road so lots of traffic sounds and road sounds through the night. The redeeming part: The hotel manager was super helpful and understanding when we expressed our concerns. She saved the day for us, upgrading us to a bigger suite for the next night. While we ended up having some issues there as well, she was sincere enough to remit us one night's stay due to all the issues. Note that the suite we were upgraded to was historic and beautiful. If you like the haunted history associated with this hotel, this would be the suite to book. We did not experience any spooky stuff but the charm and age of the walls and the medieval castle feel was enchanting enough. The suite was surrounded by beautiful gardens and fountains. It was lovely. Overall, beautiful, historic place with charm and a bit of intrigue but I don't think the pricing per night is a reasonable fit for the quality of the rooms and services offered. The rooms could use renovation and modernization without impacting the historic quality and architectural elements. Better staff training to ensure all staff are courteous and passionate about customer service, better upkeep/maintenance, pest and insect control and longer hours of room service /dining would be great. Great manager, thank you Henrietta for your professionalism and service, your attitude and saved the trip for us.
