My delightful husband treated me to this tour for my birthday. And it was one of the best gifts I've received to date. It was very lively, informative and just a great time. I learned so much about wines and wines too! There were so many learning opportunities. Each of the three locations was completely different and had such a laid back vibe. This is something that we will definitely do upon our return to the area. And I must give a shout out to Jessica and Carlos who was the hostess and our driver. 1000% professionalism was displayed even though we had a minor hiccup, Jessica handled it, like a true champion!

Shawna and Carlos M. Were the best tour guides, asked us what we liked and they catered the tour to what we wanted. We wanted more time at certain wineries and they accommodated us and still kept us on track. They gave great recommendations for wine at each destination and even took us to a winery that had good food options since we asked. So fun and ABSOLUTELY worth it. Pizza included at the end at Black Market Brewery was a cherry on top! Highly recommend

We had an awesome time. Met new friends, Mario and Alanah you the best ! We would definitely do it again this time with a bigger group

This is not a "tour". This is what I'm telling people was a "booze-cruise". The Gist: -Visit 3 wineries, you have 45 minutes and 4-6 tastings at each winery. 45 minutes at a brewery. Rest of the time driving through wine country. -You do not have time to roam the grounds, or have a tour, it's just drink, drink, drink, move to the next one. Did not see a barrel, any storage facility, anyone who could tell us about the history of each place, or details of the wine we were drinking. Pros: -Wines were amazing, top-notch. -Despite the 3 stars, we saw what we got ourselves into, and leaned-into the experience. We did have fun, even though we had expectations of a different day. -Host and driver were very fun. It's not their fault this is a weird business model. Cons: -One person in our party doesn't drink. He was bored to tears just shuffling around for hours with drunk people. They didn't even offer him a soda or grape juice. Also, his ticket was $130, which I would have not agreed to do this trip had I known there would be NOTHING for him. - First 45 minutes of the trip was eating our lunch at 11am at a brewery. Not so good, considering we had a huge breakfast, expecting to eat lunch at around 1 or maybe 2pm, picnic-style at one of the wineries. I didn't pay for, nor want to see a bar that day (it was nice though) - None of the wineries knew we were coming. I felt pretty bad for the Sommeliers racing to assemble 20+ glasses and tasting cards in a panic. Made the tour feel like it was unprofessional and unpolished. Also, perhaps if the wineries knew ahead of time we were coming, they could have arranged for an actual tour? *owners take note!* Takeaway: This company has all the potential and exposure to be better. They even put in the effort to drive you around in a historical landmark on wheels (real cable car from San Francisco with an engine put in). But they've been doing this for years, so it appears they have no intention to change. So if you want to drink yourself to oblivion in a beautiful town, this is the tour for you. If you're expecting to learn things, see behind the scenes, and have a cultured afternoon, this is not for you. Maybe all wine tours in Temecula are like this, I don't know. So I got fooled if that's the case. Lesson learned: We should have just gone Direct to a Winery for a tour and paid $40 to $60 per person for a much more tailored-to-our-expectations experience.

We went on this tour today and we were lucky enough to end up with Erik as our guide and Nicole as our driver, both excellent. Erik was attentive with water, answering any questions, while being hands-off enough to let everyone enjoy. I will say, this is more of an incredibly fun drinking and tasting party than a tour of the winery and facilities and honestly that's what I was looking for too. Definitely recommend!

Such an amazing experience! So grateful to my best friend for gifting me this wine tour! Our tour started off at Black Market Brewing Co, where we greeted with some rosé & checked in! We were provided our lunch (you get to choose while booking online). If you're not a beer drinker they also have other options including ciders! The cable cars are very spacious & has lots of seating options, one thing I will say is, if you're someone with long hair, a hair clip, hat, or hair tie is a MUST while the car is moving! Along the way to different vineyards we saw so many beautiful animals from sheep, horses, & longhorns! The weather was honestly perfect! We visited Somerset, Lorimar, & Bel Vino on our wine tour! Each location provided us 5-6 tastings each! The views were so amazing! Somerset offers sangrias! We purchased the original/classic, & it was delicious!! We also had the opportunity to taste wine straight from the barrel! I personally love sweeter wines, the Drunk Bunnies Muscat is so good! Lorimar such a gorgeous vineyard, & regularly has live music. The peach sparkling was very good, and surprisingly I enjoyed the Brute as well! We ended our tour at Bel Vino, although my bestie enjoys wines that are more dry & typically red we both LOVED their bubbly pineapple coconut, so much so that we both left with a bottle! Our driver Tonya was so sweet & definitely made us feel safe! Thank you again Tonya for getting us to & from everywhere & providing us a great experience! Our tour guide Aidan is seriously the hostess with the mostest! I cannot say enough great things about him! From our very first interaction with him, we knew this was going to be an incredible day! He is a Temecula local & really knows a lot about the history of this town! His energy is truly unmatched, from his playlist (a little bit of everything), to his extremely friendly demeanor, to his 10/10 dance moves! He really goes above & beyond! He checked in on us letting us know how much time we had left at each location, making wine suggestions, he was always at the cable car with a helping hand to help you on & off the car, he was super accommodating, he provided water, snacks, entertainment, etc. Being surrounded by good people can really make an experience like this so memorable, & Aidan did just that! Thank you Aidan for everything that you do! I cannot wait to book again!

The lunch they serve is close to terrible. Luckily that was the only negative of this tour. Also, keep in mind you are able to purchase food at the wineries. Incase you want to hold out for that (which I would recommend). We visited 3 wineries, one was more beautiful then the other. At Maurice Car'rie the sourdough baked Brie is a must. At Somerset highly recommend they fresh sangria along with John Kelly chocolates in the orange flavor. Also, this was my fave winery out of the 3. Literally did not want to leave. The live entertainment here was awesome. Both the tour guide, and driver were great. Would def do this again.

Juice cup refreshments with sangria aka adult caprisun. So good!!

I was slightly skeptical when I saw so many 5/5 star review but wow everyone was right. LOVED cable car team's service. Highly recommend!! +DO NOT freak out if they're 10-15 mins late the suggested pick up time. My group was a minute late (came down to our hotel lobby at 10:41am instead of 10:40am for our pick up window of 10:40-10:50am) so after 10:50am I thought our group had missed the trolley and I started freaking out. But I found out later they give 10 minute buffer window and our trolley came at 11:02pm +Riley our tour coordinator and the driver Carlo were AMAZING to say the least. Riley greeted us soon as they parked and took care of us the entire trip. This includes but not limited to below: +bringing us refreshments as soon as we sat down (brought us plastic juice cups filled with ice cold sangria) to enjoy during our ride to our 1st winery. The sun was beaming on me so the nice cold refreshments were godsend and so tasty! It tasted like adult caprisun +Both Riley and Carlo have eagle eyes. They're walking around mingling with the group and they offer to take back the purchased wines immediately so we don't have to lug it around the winery. They make sure to mark the wine bag with our name/initials so it doesn't get mixed up. +I'm not sure if it's because we were the last group to finish the wine tasting at the first winery but Riley and Carlo brought us our lunch as soon as we sat down!! Talk about perfect timing. I want to say they were watching us and waiting for us to finish and brought out the lunch so we could eat couple minutes after we took our seat. Sooooo thoughtful cuz we never had to flag them down. Love it!! +They also have water, chips, and doggie bags ready for everyone +our group went to Bel Vino, Maurice Carrie, and Sommerset winery. My favorite was Sommsetset winery. We received most discount at Bel Vino winery and received 25% off their wine and received 10% off at the other two wineries. +tastings at each winery is already included in pricing +for lunch, you could opt for turkey sandwich, Italian sandwich, veggie sandwich, or caesar salad. I wasn't expecting much for lunch and thought I was going to get some weak but their turkey sandwich was huge and quite tasty! I wouldn't mind having it again actually +I already mentioned this but the trolley can pick you up and drop you off at your hotel if I your hotel is one of their drop off locations, which is awesome! +I also loved how all the locals stared at us during the drive as we blasted music and had a good times. Some cars were jamming with us and sending us good vibes +Riley also let us pop open the freshly bought wine during our trolley ride, which was super fun! Honestly everything about this was SO fun and SO perfect. So glad we picked their service for our GNO wine trip. Thank you Riley and Carlo, you made our trip unforgettable.

Ask the Community - Temecula Valley Cable Car Wine Tours

Is this unbearably hot to do in late June? I'd like to arrange a tour for my mom's birthday but she's 80, so I wonder if it'll be too hot for her?

It is hot and humid. Wait until fall

Is the tour going to be available during Thanksgiving weekend?

Yes, that's usually a pretty busy weekend.

What time do you pick up at Pechanga resort?

They don't do pickups at Pechanga. You'd have to drive to the meeting spot/start of the tour yourself.

How much per person and are the number of wineries and already set? Thinking of a handful of us for mothers day.

    110 bucks

The cable car only run Sat and Sun unless there is enough people. Is there a trend where cetain weekdays are likely to be higher?

We are sorry but unfortunately we do not know which weekdays are better than others to take our 28 passenger San Francisco motorized cable car but our tour in our small limo bus is just as fun and the same price.

We were also picked up at our hotel and were the first ones, so we had a great time getting to know Mike (the Wandering Wino) while we made the drive to get the others. Mike really did make this a great experience for all of us, what a host! Our tour was on Thursday, which we learned was significantly less busy than the weekends. We were picked up around 10am and got back to our hotel close to 4pm and it was an absolutely wonderful day! We were a group of 6 and became fast friends. We had something like 6 tastings at each place, and a discount on what you buy. We ended up leaving with a total of 2 bottles of wine and some marinara sauce. Mike was a blast, each winery was amazing, and our lunch was super tasty! They do this tour in different areas of California and I would love to check those out.

From the very beginning the person that helped us with our reservation, was helpful, supportive, and flexible, they even picked us up at our winery! Which obviously was a huge plus including dropping us off after the tour! But I have to tell you, our tour guide Liz made the day of wine tasting at 3 different wineries fun, exciting and informative. She was high energy from the minute we stepped on the tour van! (Killer playlist!) And her recommendations for the different wines at each winery were spot on! She has connections at all the wineries too, and we even got an upgrade for a tractor tour that was not part of our original tour at one of the wineries. We toured the vineyards while tasting our wines, and even went to see how the wine was made and fermented. Like I said, I have never done a guided tour but we could not have been more pleased. My Wife and I are appalled over what happened. To the Business Owner, Cane V., you need to train your employees, the faces of YOUR everyday business, to be more EMOTIONALLY INTUITIVE and PROFESSIONAL and have GENERAL MATURITY. Where do I start? If you are looking for a winery that has an unprofessional, rowdy brewery atmosphere that attracts Entitled Stank Faced Boomer Temecula Wine Moms and their Snobby Little Cliques LOOK NO FURTHER, THIS IS YOUR PLACE. Our Experience: my Wife and I came over to sample some wines from this winery that was recommended from a friend. On the Winery Website, you can do 2 different types of wine tastings: Classic Tastings of 6 wines of your choice or a Private Wine Tasting of 8 different ones for a higher price. This is what initially attracted my Wife and I to this winery in the first place (big mistake on our end). Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that wine tasting is no longer being offered at all. The incompetent red haired bartender at the front entrance provided us with no other alternative other than "Yea we don't offer that anymore, you can do by the glass or by the bottle." Her tone changed completely when I asked her about the Club they advertise everywhere. She then tells us that they are booked for the day, however the BAR and LAWN area are open seating, after 8PM everything is open seating. It was 6:30/7PM so we decided by that point, we'll wait for a spot to open up and enjoy some wine then in the meantime. We figured, it's just the 2 of us so we should have luck finding a spot. At the bar area, I noticed that 3 seats were left unattended. The people there got up and left, no drinks were left behind or any "Reservation" placards were placed to notify people. I walk over, sit down and wave to my Wife to come and sit at the bar area. We sat down, sipped some of our wine for 10-15 minutes. Bar had 2 people working, a gentleman and heavier set Blonde lady. Both of them never said anything and nothing was ever exchanged between us and the heavier set Blond lady. I was even thinking about buying a beer or cocktail and thankfully I didn't. Shortly after this time, an EXTREMELY RUDE, ENTITLED, and VISIBLY DRUNK lady and her husband RUDLY went in between my Wife and I and COMMANDED we leave her spots. My Wife and I laughed at her and were genuinely confused because the BAR IS OPEN SEATING, THERE ARE NO RESERVATIONS FOR OPEN SEATING. She then gets even more angry and DEMANDS we leave or else, says to my Wife and I "YOU're GOING TO LEAVE NOW," I tell the lady to kick rocks, it's open seating then she enters the bar area to talk to the heavier set Blond bar tender that we wont move. The Blond bar tender THEN has the AUDACITY to tell us "They have been sitting here all night, YOU TWO need to leave immediately." My Wife and I look at each other and absolutely laugh it off at the sheer absurdity of everyone's tone towards us. Who do you think you are to blatantly kick us out ON OPEN SEATING? Either you are severely undertrained from the Owner or you as a staff member play favorites with other entitled customers. Both of which are absolutely absurd. Upon this interaction, my Wife and I leave and go right down the street to Europa Winery and sampled several wines and had a $250 dinner at Bolero. Here, the experience was a complete 180° and we should've never wasted our time at Miramonte Winery being subjected to the nastiness from the Temecula Trash. If you are a large party, or wanting to host private events, I STRONGLY recommend ANYWHERE else besides Miramonte Winery. The Staff here is atrocious, rude, immature and ugly. I pride myself in never leaving nasty reviews but this experience changed everything moving forward.
