    Fried chicken dinner
    Tigui D.

First, our sever was amazing and attentive. The faux mojito was delicious, our server suggested it. The restaurant is also fancy and nice inside. Second, the food was just OK. We ordered the calamari and it lacked seasoning and flavor; it had so much potential, it was so well cook!! I ordered the fried chicken meal and again the chicken was missing flavor and salt. It was well cooked and crispy.. even the hot sauce didn't fix the flavoring. In short, What we ordered wasn't very good.

It's been a few years since I've been here but glad I was reminded how nice it was. Its a nice and laid back environment, you could dressed up or down and be fine. Our waitress was super nice and helpful and gave some of her recommendations. We enjoyed the appetizers, brussel sprouts(minus bacon) and cauliflower. Both were good but i think i would've liked the cauliflower a little more if it were fried first. The fried chicken with green beans and Mac and cheese was so good. I was reluctant to try the Mac n cheese but our server was a fan so I took her word and was not disappointed. It is a little "soupy" on the inside and I usually prefer mine more firm but it was well seasoned and I'd definitely try it again. Hopefully it's not years before I return but I'll definitely be back.

We love Northside Social when we're in the mood for a special dinner that's upscale, doesn't break the bank, and is deliciously filling. They have a menu with good variety, including some low country southern inspired dishes as well as Neapolitan pizza (from their sister restaurant that closed after COVID) as well as some steak and seafood options. Usually we order cocktails but we're doing dry January and were pleasantly surprised to find two mocktails and a Non Alcoholic beer on the menu. Our mocktails were delicious and hit the spot. My husband ordered one of the specials, lobster ravioli, which was fantastic. The ravioli was so tender and clearly house made. I ordered the soy glazed mahi served over rice and a miso broth. Although the flavors were great, I didn't care for the texture of the mahi. I think that's more personal preference though. My favorite dish that I have ordered multiple times is their shrimp and grits - it never disappoints! Our server was friendly and prompt and we've never had anything but knowledgeable and experienced servers when we've dined here.

First off, it's a restaurant in Broad Ripple with its own parking lot, so it started off fabulous and stress free. The environment gives off classy, sophisticated vibes, but the prices are reasonable for a full meal. We started with the cornbread with maple butter and it was delicious. I had the Parmesan crusted chicken which came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was good. My friend had the vodka rigatoni and I regretted not getting that. It was so good and the portion was huge. I got the ginger grapefruit mocktail and it was refreshing. Our server was sweet and patient with us taking time to make decisions. I would love to come back and try more!

Went for Devour. The 40 for 1 is just the right portion and the food was pretty good. Beet Salad, which was more arugula than beets but the pears in the salad were delicious and I wish I could have asked for extra extra. Parmesean crusted chicken. This dish was super tasty except for the asparagus. Come on no one actually enjoys asparagus, we eat it because we're adults an we feel guilty. It was cooked well but I would have rather another veg and there's no way I can eat that must. Chicken was good but a little dry wish we would have had more pan sauce. The plating was not cute and clunky but all tasty. The bread pudding was good. Vibe was pretty except for the Giant Tvs which I think are tacky and atrocious at a "fancy" restaurant. If my meal is over $25.99 I don't want to be surrounded by giant tvs. We're adults we can spend an hour of the day not tied to an electronic. Over all great experience.

Environment: low lighting, quiet , cozy and intimate. I sat by the window and it was a perfect location to capture the overall beauty of the restaurant Food: the food quality was excellent. The steak fried calamari was shockingly good and the sauce was excellent. I had the Parmesan crusted chicken and my friend has the brisket . Both entrees were delicious. We had no complaints. Drinks: the Kentucky cobbler was 10 out of 10, the best whiskey drink I have had in a while . Service : our waiter was great. I had a reservation and came a little bit early. The host had no problem sitting me at a table. Everyone was friendly. No issues I would definitely be back. On Wednesday they have half off bottle of wine.

Love the intimate ambiance at Northside Social! Great date spot with a great menu. Top notch service. I've been here a few times and every dish I have had as impressed. Last night I went with the Seafood Curry and my date got the Salmon. Both dishes were great!! The curry had a great spice level to it. The lemon glaze on the Everything seasoning crusted salmon push it over the top. I posted a picture of the cocktail list because it looks great! I'm on that Dry January, well dry Q1 for me, journey so no cocktails this time. This place has earned its place in my monthly rotation.

Great atmosphere with a chic mid-century modern look. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and attentive. Great place for groups, date night or out with friends. The food was excellent and they had a nice variety. Highly recommend and will definitely add to our list of place to frequent on a regular basis. The brisket was amazing! The fried chicken was perfectly done and the Mac and cheese was the bomb.

We went here for my husbands birthday, and had made reservations prior! We have a one year old, so I requested a high chair, and to be sat far away near a window. As soon as we arrived they had our table ready for us and they actually read my request! (Not too many restaurants read these) we were so impressed with their service from the beginning! For food we ordered the buffalo cauliflower which was packed with flavor! The shrimp and grits were absolutely incredible! Probably the best I've had in Indianapolis! My husband ordered a Parmesan chicken dish which was also so good! They bought out a mini bread pudding for him for his birthday, and it was so good we ended up ordering the actual dessert! We cannot wait to go back! The inside decor was beautiful and service was so good!

One thing about me is that I am a calamari girl. If it's on the menu, I will almost always order it, and my mother is the same way. Northside Social has, perhaps, dare I say, the best calamari either of us had ever had! I failed to take a photo of it, but it's steak-like strips which it makes it very meaty/juicy and you can appreciate the flavor of the seafood way more than just the breading or the sauce as with most fried calamari entrees. It was also such a huge portion, definitely plenty to split among 4 people. Our waitress was lovely. We went before seeing a show at Clowes and did end up cutting it a little close considering our reservations were a full 2.5 hours before showtime, so I do recommend letting your server know you're trying to get out at a certain time so they don't take too long getting your check.

Say what! I have not reviewed this place! My wife and I come here often. It is a great date night. We have come for dinner alone and with friends. We've come for drinks and dessert, and for drinks only. It is a great place with an easy to get to location in Broad Ripple with it's own parking lot. The food is good. The desserts are good. The drinks are our favorite though. They have fun things on the menu to pick from. I last had a smokey martini. It was so good. And going with a classic like a dry martini or an old fashion will not disappoint.

Ate here for Easter Sunday breakfast. We were seated quickly and our waiter was amazing. For a holiday brunch the service and speed that our meals were served was amazing. Everyone had a great meal. The servings were more than adequate. Three of us got the exact same dish and one of our party had one of the Eggs Benedict. Coffess and waters were kept filled and piping hot. Would go back here anytime.

Some were quietly relaxing while others were catching up over drinks. The coffeehouse-meets-cocktail-bar aesthetic is well executed and gives the space a distinct personality. I ordered the nonalcoholic Basil Needs a Break, and it was excellent. If you like basil, this drink definitely delivers. It was bright, refreshing, and very basil-forward. The service was friendly and welcoming. My only complaint was the temperature inside. It was nearly 100 degrees outside, but the bar felt warm with very little air circulation. It was almost refreshing to step back into the muggy heat after leaving, which probably isn't the feeling you're hoping to give your guests. I'd definitely come back for the drinks and atmosphere, but I'd hope for a cooler temp next time.

Disrespectful. Embarrassing. Completely Unacceptable…read more I rarely write negative reviews because I am used to having positive experiences, but our experience at Lit Cigar Lounge on the evening of May 1st was so disappointing that it needs to be shared. Our group of 17+ was there celebrating a surprise birthday, a gathering of educated, professional, family-oriented individuals who simply wanted to enjoy a night out. Throughout the evening, our server was subpar. She was dismissive, made snide remarks, and appeared uninterested in providing even basic hospitality. Despite this, her disposition, we still pressed on and still had a great time, and tipped her subpar service. That's the kind of people we are. Approximately 11:15, three police officers entered the establishment. Many in our group casually joked among ourselves that they must be there to serve a warrant on someone, albeit never imagining they would be there to remove us. Things escalated in a way that was both shocking and embarrassing. Shortly after, we were told we needed to leave. No prior warning. No conversation. No explanation from the staff. Others and I inquired of the manager, why? The manager resisted giving any adequate response other than to "leave now". No one could give us a clear answer. When pressed, I was told by the manager, "We don't want your business." It appeared the issue may have stemmed from a flyer associated solely with our group, but whatever the concern was, it did not warrant being handled in this manner, especially with a group like ours that was respectful, cooperative, and willing to comply with any request had it simply been communicated. To involve the police in a situation like this when there was no disturbance, no scene, and no attempt to communicate with us first was completely unnecessary and humiliating. Even the officers themselves expressed that they were unsure why we were being asked to leave, and made it clear they were just doing their job. I will say, the officers were respectful and professional, and we appreciated their sensitivity in an uncomfortable situation. What made it even worse was being escorted out in front of other patrons. It was embarrassing and completely unwarranted, especially considering that no issue was ever brought to our attention. The most unfortunate part is that this experience does not reflect what we believe about the upstanding reputation and business standards of the owner, who operates multiple establishments that many in our group have supported over the years. The handling of this situation by the manager was unprofessional, excessive, and disrespectful. What should have been a totally joyful celebration turned into an uncomfortable and degrading experience. I will never forget those words about not wanting our business, and he will not have to worry, because I will not be returning as long as he is the manager, and neither will the people I came with.

When the whole party was there, we finally got a both table in the back which was like the covered patio area but they had warmer flames so it was nice and heated. These were adjustable, and some in our party took advantage of that as it got too hot. We ordered hooka and the lady brought it to the table and she didn't even start it. Hooka was $31 and you get to choose a flavor, we had tropical punch and it was good. We got fries to go with our drinks and they were decent. We saw a sold-out show here recently and found it to be just too damn crowded for the allotted space, which limited our enjoyment of the music and also made me think it's not terribly safe. We did end up finding an intimate spot by a garbage bin near the back where we could sort of see the stage and chit-chat with the drunkards who were also back there for easy access to the bar. And we were definitely happier there than we would have been near the stage, where everyone had to sacrifice elbow room and the option of a bathroom trip in favor of a better view. We would have been a little happier in the premium seating (which was sold out before I was able to book), but, lesson learned. I'd just rather be at a place where capacity is more limited but the setup is geared toward ensuring the audience has a little more comfort.

This is an interesting place. It's basically a fast food place run by 2 people. There's someone…read morein the 'kitchen' (basically a shack next to he main building) preparing all the food. And there's a bartender inside who takes care of all the drinks. You order from one of the tablets outside nest to the shack (directions on how to order could be a lot clearer as there is no one in the dining room or the outdoor patio to direct you to the tablets). There's a little sandwich board on the ground with some instructions scrawled on dry-erase marker. After you order and pay on the tablet (cash not accepted). You wait until you get a text on your phone to let you know to pick up your order from the sliding window at the shack. The inside is a basic bar with a full drink menu and several beers on draft and in bottles. You can pay for your drinks with cash or card. The food is actually pretty good, but quite pricey for the level of service and the amount of food you get.
