Honestly this Henderson casino and hotel from the outside looks kind of crappy. It isn't any better on the inside. Skyline is one of the cheaper places to stay. Location is also pretty crappy because it's far away from anything. This is a place that's popular for locals. A strange name for this hotel. It's located far from any visible skyline especially the Strip and other fun things around it. The only skyline is the far away mountains. Amenities are basic. There's a bar off the casino floor. Location of this is crappy. This is on Boulder Highway where there's nothing around or so it seems. For sure there's not a lot of things around it. I'm a writer in my 30s and I stopped in here to grab dinner and drinks with a friend while we talked through a draft of one of my writing projects. As soon as we opened the door, we immediately had five different people full-voice yelling at us to leave. It felt like I accidentally walked into someone's kink scene. One table game dealer walked outside with us and gruffly told us that no bags of any kind were allowed. This is odd for a hotel/casino, especially where women right inside the door had large purses that were larger than my small backpack. Apparently men aren't allowed to have any bags...? BATH -- poor Some real effort went into this design, evidenced by the nice tile work & electric mirror fixture. Cleaning standards & basic maintenance are just lacking. The exhaust was caked in dust & the shower turnover was noticeably low-effort. TV/ENT./ACTIVITIES -- ok A good setup: wall-mounted 55" Samsung HD smart TV. The extra tight mount & TV solution eliminates any additional connectivity/functionality. There was a tremendous amount of dust buildup around as well. Marketing of the prime rib was strong & enticing. Taste on the other hand, was not...: seasoning had potential but the cook was uneven & temperatures were inaccurate. It also looked nothing like the flyer. Not worth the 13.99 (dine-in) or $24 (takeout) sticker. Snack & drink machines have good inventory & were fully stocked on every floor. in-room: microwave mini-fridge (large) coffee teapot wet-bar mini-bar NOISE -- bad No real privacy with these acoustics. LOCATION -- In the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trailers. Not much of a "destination" by design. Don't judge a book by its cover. When i pulled up, the exterior looks dated, really small pool and decoration was something from time long past. Kind of eerie for me too. The Front Lobby staff need customer service training. Not a hi, welcome, nothing, just I need your ID and credit card. The room is a bit outdated and the sink was stuck shut and didn't have the mechanism to open it. We were on the first floor and the shower did not drain. Most importantly, the pillows were like sacks of cement. I ended up using my long sweater and hubby used two bath towels. So sad because we liked going there but probably won't go back. read more

If you know me you know I am a complete nut for these old-timey, vintage quaint little eateries. Brings back great memories of Vegas past. The Skyline Restaurant fits this mold. Yes, it was fixed up a bit but still retains it's original charm. It's a Quiet spot with a classic menu at prices that remind you of when times were good. You can grab a meal here at a lower price than most places. While you sit and wait for your food, you can watch the toy train circle the restaurant on a track up above near the ceiling- nice touch! Husband and I went to have dinner there our waitress Autumn brought our cold food to us I informed her that the food was cold and Autumn didn't even care brought a saucer and I scooped the green beans on there and within 2 minutes brought the green beans back Husband had there prime rib special and the food also was cold this was a very bad experience we had there Autumn was very quick to bring our check and didn't even do a check to see if everything was ok. read more

Overall, I like this place, the prime rib deal in the coffee shop was pretty good for the price and I like the fact that there are many full-pay keno machines. Starting from the hostess who seated us and truly understands what customer service means. Here are two examples: I asked for the Wi-Fi password. Yeah, - this place has Wi-Fi. She goes off and writes it down for me and hands me the slip of paper. Who does that? I've never had that happen to me unless you count places where the password is written on a key card holder for a hotel room. Anyway ... The second example - I asked her where the restroom was. She doesn't give me directions, she led me to a point in the casino that I could see where to go. And it wasn't just the hostess ... The server and his assistant or bus person were just as hospitable. They were always there when we needed. With refills. Or Au Jus. Take out containers. Or the bill. Friendly too. As for the food. I enjoyed it. It wasn't the best prime rib I ever had but it had to do with the fact that my mom shared why she chose this place for lunch. Wow! This experience was bad! I wanted the "Old Vegas" experience. They advertised not that long ago good deals on steak dinners. I got prime rib at $24.95 so bad l sent it back. It had a bad smell and looked bad/old. When I first sat down I ordered a topshelf Long Island Iced Tea which the most I've ever paid for that drink anywhere in Las Vegas is $15. My husband ordered a beer. The waitress comes back and tells us $24 and change. When l asked how much my drink was l was told $19!!! Holy Smokes! This is a very old casino hotel off Boulder Highway. Not for me. Me and my two brothers each got a room for the weekend. My oldest said the pillows still smelled of the previous occupants hairspray and sweat. We had a spaghetti noodle dried up and left on our bathroom floor. Also there was a few dead nats that remained on our bathroom floor for the entire stay. So, obviously they didn't clean. The next morning the service only changed towels and didn't do any other cleaning. This is an old school casino. Smoke was very prevalent throughout the casino and restaurant. The stuffing looked like Alpo dog food and taste worse. Not sure who is quality control of the kitchen but that was horrible. Only positive was the bar tenders, front desk, and servers. Meet by cashier about 30 minutes from closing. Covid precautions were present, required mask, sanitized table and menu. Waiter and bus person very pleasant. Ordered Club sandwich with Potato salad, Patty Melt with fries side mayo and guacamole. All were excellent! Prices are higher due to current time, back in the day ,the same food was about half the cost here. As it was closing time,waiter was a bit in a rush to get us out. It has nice decor and a big bathroom. Things I do not care for is 1. The bed feels like you're sleeping on a board and springs. I wake up in pain. 2. The TVs color is purple tinted 3. The ac smells like it to s blowing a poop smell sometimes. 4. The beds only have a sheet and blanket. They do not have extra blankets either if you are stuck against the ac. The Skyline remodeled recently in the past year or so - so we thought we'd give it a try. Casino & restaurant was clean, decorated heavily in red & yellow. We visited the restaurant - first time last night for the $13.99 prime rib dinner. The prime rib was good about 1/2" thick cut good sized piece served with a pretty small baked potato. We'd asked for sour cream and green onions, those came in the side in 1" disposable plastic cups instead of it being dressed on your potato. Not what I expected. Ordered the $2.50 shrimp cocktail, flavor was good but visually not, received it in a disposable clear plastic disposable juice size cup - 7 -1.5" sized shrimps. Sauce is a separate disposable 1" cup. The presentation on the whole meal. 2/10. Food quality 7/10. Service 7/10 $39 + tip read more

The times Ive come for breakfast, (weekend or a weekday), the service is always the same: the best. Skyline Restaurant, located inside the casino by the same name, was the place to be for their Prime Rib Dinner back 30 years ago! Times have changed for sure, but a visit here on a Sunday night brought back that vintage vibe that is slowly eroding. Walking through the small casino that is still smoke filled, hearing the bells of slots ringing out winners, and the small restaurant tucked into the end of the casino that once was hotspot for an excellent bargain! You can't help but feel nostalgic hen you see the leather booths, the vintage western paintings and light fixtures, and to know you can still get the prime rib for $14! It's not the thickest cut by any means, but it is still cooked perfectly to temperature with a nice size baked potato. We checked in about 11 p.m. that night and was greeted with the lady with a nice lady with an accent she assured us that we will not get charged again due to we paid booking.com in full and that we would get charged for service dog. All lies My daughter selected this hotel due to no resort fee , affordable and pets are welcome. She did our booking through a third party which is booking.com and paid it in full and the front desk lady said they only charged for one night we presented receipt which said it was paid in full for 2 nights. She said that's a mistake they only charged for night. So we kind of went back and forth with that but she assured us that we will not be charged the money for 2nd night and they will call booking.com. she said the $100 deposit for damaged and will be refunded once we leave this hote within 7 days. She also wanted to charge for dog but we told her this is a service dog. So she wrote a little sticky note to the manager about the charge of the hotel and that we had a service dog. The Room was okay no complaints I've had better but it's a classic Hotel. On the room door there were prices for the bedding, towels and iron which it was no iron in the room. So the next day we call down stairs for a iron but nobody's at the front desk I go downstairs (it's just 3 floors) nobody's at the front desk, finally someone arrived at front desk and this different lady (she was a bit rounder that the previous person) and she said they only have a few irons and I think someone just checked out and I'll send the iron up to your room Holdd and behold we never got the iron. As far as the towels we call downstairs front desk said housekeeping should be on your floor so we did see the housekeeping outside the door so we got some more towels because they were skimpy on towels in room. The housekeeper had no problem and was pleasant The pool is small and it had a Jacuzzi but it did its purpose for my daughter's baby sister who does not know how to swim. So she just thought that was the biggest pool , she was splishing and a splashing, said she knows how to swim and jumping into the pool so that was fine for us. She was satisfied. Okay it's checkout time and I'm allowed my daughter to do all the business because she booked the room but I did tell her to ask for receipt because they always give out receipts and we want to make sure no foolishness went on..The rounder check out lady said they do not give out receipts because it was a third party. I am saying hmm (In my head) My daughter said, she want a receipt the lady said it will be blank and have nothing on ot. .hmm. (this is strange to me) She Said they just charge you for the deposit and will be refunded within 7 days. I was uncomfortable with that I knew something was kind of up but I was like okay. I told my daughter we will monitor them But guess what time we got they charged for that night although we showed them proof. Lazy something something. So watch them and your money get your receipt don't be silly like we were cuz everyone gives out a receipt. Okay let me finish my daughter called they said the manager wasn't there call tomorrow . So we'll see how it go we may have to call booking.com, disputed on the credit card but one thing we do now we're not going back there anymore.. Crooks.
