Haven't been here for 25 years back than it was a dive but now all remodeled looked really good. I was surprised how good the prime rib special was for $15.95. Cooked perfected and tender. Place was clean service Good

Honestly this Henderson casino and hotel from the outside looks kind of crappy. It isn't any better on the inside. Skyline is one of the cheaper places to stay. Location is also pretty crappy because it's far away from anything. This is a place that's popular for locals. A strange name for this hotel. It's located far from any visible skyline especially the Strip and other fun things around it. The only skyline is the far away mountains. Amenities are basic. There's a bar off the casino floor. Location of this is crappy. This is on Boulder Highway where there's nothing around or so it seems. For sure there's not a lot of things around it. There's a kitchen that makes basic greasy food like wings and fried stuff. Good place for those okay with being far away from anything. It's a long ways to any other casino and hotel. There's a pool and some other things.

SERVICE & TRANSITIONS -- Great A rustic locals casino with personality. Common spaces were very clean & gave off a heavy desert-plains vibe. A bit eclectic, but also charming & rich with history. Customer service was great over the phone & hospitality inside was awesome. Con: Elevators slow as molasses ROOM (Classic Studio, 1 King Bed) -- bad https://youtu.be/jeU-u6ptwNg A dusty, worn, & neglected accommodation. First impression wasn't a win: overwhelmed by a pungent odor on entry... reminiscent of an old musk ? Double bummer due to the sealed windows & nonexistent ventilation. Chairs felt like deflated tires, well-overdue for a reupholstering or replacement. Outlet distribution was also unproductive (consider bringing an extension cord). BED -- poor Support was all but depleted from this old spring mattress. Sheets were soft & pillows had fine loft, but the sleep just wasn't... BATH -- poor Some real effort went into this design, evidenced by the nice tile work & electric mirror fixture. Cleaning standards & basic maintenance are just lacking. The exhaust was caked in dust & the shower turnover was noticeably low-effort. TV/ENT./ACTIVITIES -- ok A good setup: wall-mounted 55" Samsung HD smart TV. The extra tight mount & TV solution eliminates any additional connectivity/functionality. There was a tremendous amount of dust buildup around as well. The casino is predominately slots & where all the fun awaits. These machines are some of the only machines that still accept + dispense real coins. Pretty cool. A small (motel-size) outdoor pool is also open. WI-FI & CELL RECEPTION -- poor Poorly architected with multiple over-lapping networks. I struggled frequently with connecting to these access points. --Performance-- Video streaming - average Online gaming - poor Video chatting - average --Nerd Stats-- 12-17 Mbps download 6-18 Mbps upload 0% packet loss 30 ms latency 30 ms jitter FOOD & DRINK -- ok DoorDash friendly. Marketing of the prime rib was strong & enticing. Taste on the other hand, was not...: seasoning had potential but the cook was uneven & temperatures were inaccurate. It also looked nothing like the flyer. Not worth the 13.99 (dine-in) or $24 (takeout) sticker. Snack & drink machines have good inventory & were fully stocked on every floor. in-room: microwave mini-fridge (large) coffee teapot wet-bar mini-bar NOISE -- bad No real privacy with these acoustics. LOCATION -- In the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trailers. Not much of a "destination" by design. RECOMMENDATION & RATING Final price: $93.29/night Was it worth it: no Best part: price More roomy than a big brand casino hotel & strong on hospitality. Cleaning standards & maintenance have much room for improvement. Underwhelming. 3/5 @mrstaycation

If you know me you know I am a complete nut for these old-timey, vintage quaint little eateries. Brings back great memories of Vegas past. The Skyline Restaurant fits this mold. Yes, it was fixed up a bit but still retains it's original charm. It's a Quiet spot with a classic menu at prices that remind you of when times were good. You can grab a meal here at a lower price than most places. While you sit and wait for your food, you can watch the toy train circle the restaurant on a track up above near the ceiling- nice touch! The food or service isn't overly spectacular but it certainly serves the purpose of you being there. I'm happy places like this still exist in this greedy corporate world.

    Breakfast

If you want a quick affordable breakfast I'd say stop here! It's in Henderson and I feel like it's the cheapest breakfast you can get on this side of town. The food is your basic breakfast. The ambience is that nostalgic 50's diner type. And the service was amazing and quick!

Chicken wings with fries * $14.45!!!!!

Is the prime rib served for lunch at the Skyline?

I wouldn't eat there if I were you. That place should get flagged for dirty dining. Mike J.

This building was a grocery store providing food to the hungry individuals of "company town." First off, what's "company town!" It was the Basic Magnesium Company that helped fuel the development during World War II. Now just the folds of history . We must remember the past to see the future. What's in a rainbow? Only all our dreams and aspirations. When you see the outside of this building it's truly amazing and inspiring. In fact the mural has deep roots and meaning to the community. This mural is meant to tell a different tale. The artist that painted this mural was Ozzy Villante. In fact this mural he quotes, "wisdom and knowledge are at the end of this rainbow, not a pot of gold." The mural in every bit of its core incorporates the city of Henderson going all the way back to the war effort to symbolize the great American culture of America and all its people and literacy. For if example you cannot understand you cannot ever comprehend. The power of art and color has brought this building to life. While you gamble and try to make your dreams come true inside the casino. Outside was what drew my attention. And the fact the word "rainbow," was in the title of course. While you can gamble and play all sorts of games inside. Come out and see the rainbow. In fact be the rainbow for someone!

Once inside, it was bad! One hour-later when we left, the stench of cigarette smoke was still on our clothing. That was the biggest negative for a non-smoking group of ten like our group. The casino is old but fun with a nice mix of colder and newer slot machines. The machines were DEFINITELY tight as only one person in our group won money and that was a whopping $37.00. The rest of us left the casino having had fun but now we all smelled like cigarettes and with less money in our pockets. The entire staff here were friendly and polite. Parking was avail and free in the casino's private parking lot. I don't know that I would ever visit this casino as this was perhaps my one and only visit to the area but also as a result of the strong cigarette smoke which is a challenge for a non smoker like myself

Time to share my two cents before they pass on…read more The Pass Casino, formerly Eldorado, sits right next to Rainbow Club in Downtown Henderson, making them a convenient stop if you're looking to hit up multiple casinos. They're also being bought by the owners of Rainbow Club and nearby sister casino Emerald Island, so the easy double-dip of two differing systems of casino promotions is going away soon. Although it may have changed lately, a modest level of slots play was good enough for $10 food vouchers and $5 free play twice a week. I've addressed the specific restaurants in the individual business listings, but the ability to get free food in this economy can't be overlooked. And they also recently resumed a program to let you exchange comp points for gasoline vouchers, with multiple valid Conoco locations around the valley. Free fuel, baby! They also have weekly promos including wheel spins ($500 max; I've hit the $75 or $100 more than once), gifts (some better than others), and other small prizes or drawing chances. And their other less-frequent events can be worth it; I even won their slot tournament once. The slot machine selection itself has enough of a variety, although obviously less overall than big casinos. At least they've added some newer games every so often, especially seeming to rotate in newer Light & Wonder games quite a bit. Last, but not least, most of the casino staff have been friendly and helpful. I'll miss seeing a lot of their faces behind the "Player's Junction" desk after the end of this month So long and happy trails, The Pass. Hopefully their sister property Railroad Pass will still feel close enough to the same thing, although they're not as conveniently located.
