I give this place 3 stars, for a simple nice clean vibe and kindness. The issue I have is I asked for a removal/mani for my simple acrylic nails. They used nail clippers (not even a nail file) and clipped my nails until they found a pocked to stick something in and pop them off. I started to bleed, and my nails looked terrible, to counter that fact they told me to pick a gel color to paint them. I will say my nail tech was kind and obviously felt bad. I took my mom in for pedicures. In addition to the constant upselling on services which is so annoying, the man working on my mom started digging on her big toe nail. The nail was normal when we went in, but he would not stop digging on this nail, lifting it from the nail bed. My mom kept telling him to stop, but he acted like he didn't understand. She had to finally pull her foot away and shout NO repeatedly!! He tried to put acrylic on the missing nail he had cut away but 2 weeks later it has fallen off. This is what she is left with. This was one of the worst nail experiences I've ever had. I paid $47 for a gel manicure, and the results were unacceptable. My nails had visible bubbles, pieces of debris trapped under the polish, and were already chipped before I even walked out the door. Even worse, the nail tech filed so harshly that he (Table 7) cut into the skin around multiple cuticles--causing them to bleed. It was painful and careless. Was visiting from out of town wanting to get a fill in and decided to get a pedicure while I was there.. one employee was asleep you're one of the pedicure chairs the whole time I was getting my nails done. I proceeded to get my pedicure and the young gentleman that did my pedicure asked me which one I wanted. I told him I just wanted a basic pedicure. He proceeds to do the pedicure and then tells me that I have calluses and I need to get the deluxe pedicure because they don't use anything except a sponge unless you get a deluxe .. Which was $65.. so I said OK fine one of the fastest pedicures I've ever gotten and I knew when he was finished, he did not properly remove the areas that I needed at my big toe and at my heels the next day I sent these pictures and and ask them was this acceptable after a $65 pedicure they told me that I could come back in and they would redo them. I went back in. They squirted some on my two big toes. They were very unfriendly to me to say the least he scraped the two big toes in the hill again, and that was all I paid for a service and this is what I got, and then the paint chipped off my thumb, not long after I walked out from the second visit and he told me I could come back and they would fix that. I told him I would never Come in that place again they were very unprofessional and unkind. Do not waste your time. The women doing my pedicure didn't do any cuticle work of any sort and there's still acrylic on my toes. I was visiting Colorado Springs to see family. I brought my three nieces and myself to get Mani Pedi's. I was very disappointed that after three days and my nails started peeling. This also happened to one of my nieces. And another niece her toes were starting to peel. This was a very expensive treat for my nieces and I'm so disappointed. I loved the design that she did and the aromatherapy pedicure was delightful. It included a mask, exfoliation, collagen, massage, and the classic procedures. Price: I don't get my nails done as often but I would say that the price is fair and comparable to other nail salons. A full set of acrylic nails was $50 and they charge a five dollar per design on nail. I would recommend getting an Aromatherapy pedicure it's so worth it. Save your money... My sister and I went here to get her prom nails done and they did a terrible job. They improperly removed gel from my nails and almost ripped my thumb nail off, he even cracked one of my nails; and my sister's acrylic nails look awful! They were lumpy, twisted, and deformed. Additionally, they didnt inform us when we walked in that their machines were down and that they only accepted cash. I went to the back to use their ATM... it was also down. So I had to try and get the right amount change and embarrassingly try to come up it since we couldnt leave & their atm didn't work. I've attached photos of my sisters nails below. They were unimaginably rude to my mom and I. We made an appointment first thing this morning. We got our pedicures done and those people were pretty nice. When we first got their we told them we wanted a pedicure and a full set manicure, which was what we scheduled for. After our pedicures the male (AKA THE OWNER ) that was going to do our manicures was very obvious that he didn't want to do them, he was huffing and puffing at us like he didn't have time to do them. I asked for a dipped nail and he said he couldn't do it for either of us, then he said he could paint on the dip powder (I told him I didn't want ANY acrylic) he then proceeded to put acrylic powder on top. He refused to do my moms nails after the last place she had been to messed them up and hurt her nail beds (My nails were worse then hers let me mind you). We ended up paying full price for everything even though he didn't do her nails, we also left a $40 tip. She was left with incomplete nails and has been sad ever since. PSA for that worker, if you don't know how to do your job or don't want to do it, then just say that. We would be happy to look elsewhere or wait for another employee to help us, SHAME ON YOU. I was craving some self care today and decided last minute I wanted to get my nails done. This was the 5th place I called and finally I was told they could get me in within the hour. I showed up and was immediately taken to a seat - no wait at all. I do want to note that I may have gotten lucky with that one because as soon as I sat down about 10 new customers walked in the door - however I only observed one couple having to wait more than 5 minutes! This was a Thursday evening around 4pm, by the way. John was my nail tech and I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he gave me EXACTLY that! He was quick and professional and one of the better nail techs I have had do my nails. He finished my full set with design in about an hour. I have attached both pictures of my nails and a picture of what I asked for, for reference. This set was slightly pricier than I was used to, but the quality of work was so great I honestly don't mind the price - I actually think it's fair for the set I got. I will definitely be trying this place again for my fill, although I think I'll be sticking with John since he did such a great job. As far as ambiance goes, if you're looking for a fancy boujie place this isn't for you. It's a simple, average and modest nail salon. However I care more about my nails than the salon so I didn't mind at all. I felt it was adequately clean, and they even had a survey regarding COVID at sign in which I haven't seen at other salons. Their color selection is pretty extensive and as far as I could tell they have several different technicians who do designs as well as other services such as waxing. Good price. Okay manicure...not great pedicure. I've gone been to Skyline twice, because it's close to where I live. Both times I felt that attention to detail was lacking. The language barrier seems strong, so I am not sure if it is associated with a miscommunication/misunderstanding, or if there is always a lack of attention to detail at Skyline. During my pedicure, they smudged my toes before I even moved off the chair. He "fixed" it, but not properly. (The way I would fix it if I was doing my own nails at home. But NOT how I want them fixed when I am paying for them to be done). Cleanliness was clearly lacking (even for pre-COVID expectations). When I sat down for a full set, the station was still covered in dust and trash from THE LAST CLIENT. I wouldn't have minded if they would have taken the time to clean it off, but they didn't. This probably added to the fact that I now have tiny specs of dust in my gel manicure-which I will be looking at for the next two weeks. I would have also liked for them to ask me to wash my hands/nails before applying the polish (once again, to avoid the dust). They didn't. (In which case I maybe should have been more assertive, but I would have rather that they ask me than me having to be meticulous in watching the process.) I will be back, because they are cheap and by our place. But I do not recommend them. If we move to another location in CSprings, I will be finding a new spot. read more
