Pop, Pink snowball, and drink menu

I've seen both ends of the spectrum. Last time I was here I sat for 30 minutes and never got service so I left. This time I was greeted by 2 different servers within 5 minutes. Food is fantastic. I don't drink but the 2 for 1's from 3-6 keep the bar busy. I've tried a lot of the menu and haven't had a bad meal.

Duck pin bowling, one of two bowling options

Ok I rarely leave reviews locally, but when I saw that skyline was only 3.5 stars on yelp I literally had to try to help people see a hidden gem in Duluth!! Skyline has in the last year or so made HUGE improvements and changes making it probably the best all around place in the twin ports. food, drinks, games, bowling, amazing staff and reasonably priced across the board!! Do yourself a favor, Go!!!!

I was invited to this place by a local, probably close to his place. This dive bar is inside the bowling alley. It is a small watering hole. There is nothing special about this place. The wings were okay here. They have typical bar food. We had a couple drinks, which were okay. I believe they only have 1 person working so it could be an issue if busier, maybe. They do have TVs lining the bar if you like that. That is all I can say, pretty vanilla.

Get the giant order of nachos!!! The waffle fries are on par with bar/diner food (delicious, greasy option). This place stays busy in the evenings, but totally worth the wait. If you're bowling, stop in the restaurant early and out in your order while you bowl!

Good service and good pizza! They did a very good job of making sure we had what we needed for our family gathering. We plan on coming back.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Duluth North - Miller Hill

I'm going to be really honest - I didn't expect much from a Holiday Inn Express but this…read morestay/experience made me think twice (for the better) about considering this specific brand in the future. The location isn't very obvious from the main road. In fact, had google maps not directed us, we wouldn't have found it. First impression walking into the lobby was "wow, this is nice." Well lit, open and inviting, plenty of seating that flows into the breakfast area. Decor was modest but tasteful. Felt welcoming and well maintained. Rooms had thoughtful features that were meaningful - built in suitcase rack, multiple hooks to hang coats/bags, small wall shelf. The one suggestion I'd offer is to replace the corner floor lamp with a side chair for extra seating because to only have one office chair in a 2 bed room is simply not enough seating. Breakfast was quite nice. Pancake station, real scrambled eggs (not the powdery stuff), 2 different types of sausages, potatoes, oatmeal, bagels/breads, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs. I was pleasantly surprised. All in all, I found myself becoming a fan of Holiday Inn again. I typically don't stay at this chain but will definitely consider in the future.

This new hotel is conveniently located close to the airport, shopping, and restaurants. The taxi…read moreride from the airport shouldn't be more than $10. I arrived and the front desk attendant was on the phone so I went to the little store and got a root beer. They had a cooler with drinks and some snack foods which was convenient. The check in process was very quick. I asked if I needed to arrange a taxi to take me into Superior the next morning. She answered no there would be taxis available. The elevators are large and fast. My room had two queen beds And there was plenty of lighting. The bathroom had lots of counter space which I appreciated. They provide white citrus Bath and Body products. The room also had a Keurig machine, microwave, and mini fridge. The temperature control worked well and I was never too warm or cold. They offer a free breakfast buffet starting at 6:30 AM. There are eggs, meat, assorted muffins and breads, cereal, and oatmeal. There's self serve coffee and tea but not a lot of variety of teas. There's a nice pool and large gym but I didn't use these amenities. At 7, I asked the front desk to call me a taxi. She called three companies before finding one that I could come within 15 minutes. I told her the woman the night before told me I did not have to pre-book but she said yes you should because there are flights that are coming in and going out. I wasn't so impressed with this news and I waited 20 minutes for a taxi and he was able to get me to my destination as quick as possible. After this I made sure I pre-booked my taxis including the next morning going to the airport. Since I had an early morning flight, the breakfast was not available but they did have hot water and one tea bag for me to use. I would stay at this hotel again as it's convenient in location and there is a Subway and Dairy Queen with in walking distance. Although it was a short stay, it was comfortable.

Even after reading bad, outdated reviews, we decided to give it a go. So glad we did! Snively's lounge on the first floor is cute and pleasant. We enjoyed our 2 for 1 beer credits included with our room. This is a historical building, there will be noise. But, we weren't disrupted. The Rathskeller speakeasy down stairs is too cute. They weren't playing any jazz (which is common I guess) during our stay, which was fine by us. My hubby and I were celebrating our anniversary, and we loved our choices. Parking is simple enough, across the street in a secure ramp for $12 a day. If you read any reviews that there is a stinky Japanese restaurant on site.....that is outdated info. We stayed in room 3, two twin beds, lower level, shared bathrooms (2)....both have showers and we never encountered both being in use at once. Beds were comfy and the bedding was soft. We will definitely be back. Personally, I like no windows; I prefer to sleep in a cave. Lol. The elevator was a nice surprise. I need my knees replaced; stairs are not my friend. Lol.

The boutique feel really came through -- the room was well-appointed, clean, and had thoughtful touches that made it feel more personal than a chain hotel. While there wasn't staff onsite, they were easy to reach by phone if needed, which worked fine during my stay. One thing to note is the location. While it was convenient to some attractions during the day, the surrounding area didn't feel the safest in the evening. If you're looking for a cozy, comfortable stay and don't mind limited in-person staffing, this hotel is a nice choice.

It took us nearly two hours to get our flowers ordered. I SPECIFICALLY asked what the packages include and the lady said that there were no package deals, but you got free shipping and a toss bouquet with every order. We ordered boutonnieres and a bouquet for me for what seemed like a reasonable price. We payed for half that day. About a week before the wedding, my fiance went in to check on the order. He asked when the rest of the money was due and was told that it was due that day. (No one ever told us that. What would have happened if he hadn't gone in that day?) He then tried to conform our order and was told that a toss bouquet was not part of the deal but he could purchase one for $15 dollars. It was so close to the wedding that we had no other choice but to buy it. The day of the wedding the flowers were late to arrive and half dead. The boutonnieres kept breaking when we tried to pin them on. My bouquet was completely dead by the end of the night. Overall, NOT impressed and I will never go back to Occasions again.

I bounced around multiple times between Occasions, Party America, and Michael's to compare merchandise and prices. Occasions offers the most decorations for bridal showers and was the only place I could find a "Just Married" flag for a car window. On a couple of my visits, they didn't have the exact balloons or party items I had in mind and took out their catalogues to see if it was something that could be ordered. I've always had a great experience in their store. The only downside is that they're not open on Sundays.

You walk in and you're struck with a bit of awe and the grandeur and old design of the place, it truly is beautiful. But, as it's such an old building , there are flaws. If you want to get to the ballroom, you have to use the elevator. This thing is SLOW. And there are no stairs that will take you directly up to the ballroom, they were closed off (not sure why). And not only is the elevator slow but it mainly alternated between the lobby and main level that houses the community center so good luck getting to the ballroom in less than 5 minutes. But, once you finally arrive the place is very nice. They have a cute little coat check and everything was set up in advance of the event we hosted. We also asked for an additional table for name tags and they obliged immediately. The drinks here are STRONG but you won't see me complaining. They even had some winter seasonal cocktails you could order that sounded nice. The sit down dinner began with a salad, which was fine, and then we were released by table to go to the buffet (which isn't a buffet because you can't go back, but is served buffet style). The food was amazing. I was extremely stuffed and then they passed out the dessert. The cake was more like a thick fudge but was also very good. The acoustics in the room, when many people are talking at once, are not great. It's hard to hear and equally as hard to get people to be quiet. Because of this and the terrible elevators, I was tempted to give 3 stars but honestly, the food and service is just that good. They were willing to cater to whatever we needed.
