Was unsure if this was adult friendly or more kid friendly. Hands down BOTH. If you're in the area, this is a must. They charge for parking ( $15 at the door vs $10 on line) The price of the ticket gets you- axe throwing, bow shooting, bb gun range shooting, ice skating, petal car, rock wall climbing, bike rail, and zip lining (zip lining requires reservation, do that immediately entering park). Arrive earlier to avoid the crowd and long waits. They have plenty of shows, food, sweets, beverages, and coffee. This def was one of the top favorite activities during my stay. Worth the price

SkyPark at Santa's Village is a theme park located near Lake Arrowhead and is best known for (1) mountain biking trails and (2) Santa's Village. This site was used to be known as Santa's Village amusement park from 1955 until 1998. Then the site was reopened as SkyPark at Santa's Village in December 2016. The amusement park operates year-round and it gets especially festive during December holiday seasons. [Drive to Skypark]: I checked the Caltran website for road conditions and the road condition for California State Route (SR) 19 was clear. No snow in early December of 2025 and snow tire chains were not needed. Expect about 20 miles of the Initial D mountain road entering via Arrowhead Springs (SR 19), but this is a popular route so the road was well-maintained and was very easy to navigate. [Parking]: There will not a parking attendant. In order for ticket holders to get into the park, they must ALSO purchase a parking ticket. Basically if visitors have no plan to get into the park, then they can actually park at the parking lot for free. I had my parking ticket QR code ready and had it scanned at the main park entrance. [Waivers]: All visitors must sign waivers before getting into the village and visitors can sign them at the two kiosks near the entrance or scan the QR code via the smartphone (I had T-Mobile and still had one bar signal). [Set-up]: The theme park is separated into a bike park & Santa's Village. Within the village there are various activities and here are some of activities our party did and did not do: *** Activities done *** + Monorail bike: If you have a fear of height, then you probably don't want to do this activity as I had to close my eyes 50% of the time during my ride. Reservation was not needed and our party waited about 20 minutes. + Gingerbread House Bakery: Our party had apple cider, Earl Grey tea, and molasses cookie. Cookie tasted too sweet for me. + Archery range / sharpshooter aka bb guns / axe throwing: Unlimited attempts as long as there's no waiting line & you are willing to go back in line again. An excellent opportunity to see whether you actually like these outdoor activities before making a full commitment to do them again separately in future. + Train ride (a tour through Meadowlands): A pretty boring ride - perfect for a 5-year old. + Pedal kart track: 3 laps only, but it was pretty fun. *** Activities not done *** + Zip lining: First-come, first-served & reservation at the park only. There was a standby line with no line, but our party decided not to wait to prioritize other activities. + Santa's Toy Test Track: Maximum 100 lbs. + Santa's Village Mining Co: Additional fee required. + Cookie decoration: $7 & ends 30 minutes before park closure. + Rock climbing: Equipment is provided. + Reindeer adoption: $25 per reindeer = watching a 7-minute clip + receiving a certificate + choosing a reindeer with a name and a collar. + Picture with Santa: Additional fee for Breakfast with Santa ($69 / adult) or Tea with Mrs. Claus ($40 / adult online price). + Ice skating: Skate rentals are included with your Day Pass (socks are required). + Bike lesson: Online ticket purchased required. One-hour lesson = $95.00 per adult for individuals who have never ridden a bike. 1.5-hour small group lesson = $65 per adult for individuals who who are new to mountain biking, but can ride flat roads or trails. + Shows for kids: Wacko the Magician, Kids Imagine Nation, etc - 1st show starts at 12 PM and last show ends at 4 PM. [Annual pass]: Right before leaving there's a sign stating "upgrade to an annual pass" for $199 per adult (no blackout dates, free general parking, discounts on food & retail, hiking/biking trails, rides & attractions, and access to shopping & dining). [Duration]: Our party entered at 2:15 PM and left at 4:45 PM (2.5-hour), but we did not do zip lining, ice skating, and picture with Santa. Plan to stay here for 4 hours for anyone who want to try majority of main activities including zip lining and ice skating. Add another 1-2 hours for anyone who want to do a bike lesson or experience the bike park via bike rentals. [Conclusion]: Definitely agree with the general sentiment that visitors get the most out of this amusement park if they have kids above age 4. This is still a good destination for adult visitors as you can do multiple rounds of archery range / sharpshooter aka bb guns / axe throwing (sort of like a nice try out). For $90 I think it is a fair price as long as visitors get to do most of outdoor activities this park has to offer. This is not the place I would come annually, but could see myself visit here every 5 to 10 years. P.S. - There's a very popular pizza place called Loueddie's Pizza located less than a mile away from the village.

It was my first visit at sky Park. I was an invited guest for a private party. The employees are friendly and kind. Santa and Mrs. Claus were joyful and so friendly posing for pictures. I rode the monorail bike. It's 40 feet in the air and it was fun and exciting to do. Please keep in mind the attractions are a walk and it is at times a steep walk from one attraction to another. All of the pathways have nice smooth concrete, there are benches located throughout to sit and rest. There are also several gift shops and dining options. There's many activities available that are included in your admission, but with time constraints, we weren't able to participate in everything. We had lunch at Saint Nick's. Even though it was the peak of the lunch rush, the employees were polite and would let us know they were working on the orders. The chili was flavorful and gluten-free. The Caesar salad was simple and good. I will have to come back when I have more time to try the archery, axe throwing, zip line and other activities that are available.

What a fun place to visit for the holidays. First tip, get there early and go straight to the zip line for reservations. The cost is perfect because 90% of the activities inside are included. As my older kids said, this place was fantastic for kids up to 18 years old!! From zip lining to ice skating, craft building and archery it's well worth a day visit. They also have food, drinks and sweets to really round out the visit.

YES my husband and I were the only two adults at the park without children YES I was terrified the entire time on the bike skyrail and a boy no older than 12 made fun of me YES we drank all the malt liquor that the cafe had on hand and YES we had a blast coming here randomly in March NO lines, NO wait for food, WAY better than Disneyland imo

SkyPark at Santa's Village is for kids. But I wanted to come here just for nostalgia purposes. My family used to come to SkyPark every year, around Thanksgiving. We would go with my whole extended family too. It was always fun. As a kid, I had a blast. As an adult, it's pretty boring. lol Not much for adults to do. But if you have kids, this is a must! Admission is steep. Almost the price of Disneyland. Personally, I'd rather go to Disney. But to each their own I guess.

This was exactly what I needed. I've been to concerts here as well as Christmas with my family. The local pass is awesome. Love this.

Always heard about it but just checked it out because we were cruising around. Byways closed because it's off season. The friendly staff gave us some info and let us walk around. It was practically empty. Maybe 10 people ice skating but definitely just the two of us wandering the entire village. They are creating a pathway with lights and beautiful sounds of nature and some great music that is gonna be a hit with everyone. We walked through it and had the best time. The lights and music and sounds mixed with the colors and lights and forest is magical! I will definitely make it back with family!!!!!!

Such a fun day at SkyPark & Santa's Village! We did the zip line, cookie decorating, visited santa, BB guns, and archery, and easily spent 7 hours here. So many fun activities and everything was well organized. Highly recommend!

We had a BLAST at Sky Park with people ranging the ages of 24-35. From the zip lining to archery to rock climbing to the food, overall 10/10 time. If you go, you must meet the employee Lex who was generous, kind, and a great fun with lots of experience. It's been two weeks and I'm still telling everyone about our time! Highly recommend going on a week day if possible because the lines were short and we were able to do whatever we wanted and then some. Additionally, the day was filled with mountain bikers for an event, and we still felt like we were the only ones there sometimes. Small tip, take the extra challenge at the rock wall and try going up the 3rd wall with the water spout... not an easy task! Overall, great staff, great time, and great place. We will be back for sure!

If you grew up in SoCal you probably came here as a kid. After being closed for many years, it reopened with many new amenities. Don't just come for the holidays. They have year round activities. Live music, ice skating, mountain biking...ax throwing. Also they have a campground and even have some glamping airstreams you can rent. Don't get me wrong, the holidays are still magical for the little ones and the fresh gingerbread is delicious!!

I purchased the annual mountain community resident promotion for $120 which was a bargain. Me and my family can go anytime to bike ride the different level trails, walk the trails, take a little boat ride, learn fly fishing, get in free to their Friday night concerts, go rock climbing, ax throwing, archery, bb gun shooting, roller skating and go on the zipline. The annual pass gets us 10% on the food. The food prices are a little high priced but the food is absolutely delicious including the coffee and cookies. The staff is friendly and the park is clean. Sky Park is a very unique park it is geared more towards athletics and adventure rather than an amusement park like Knots or Disneyland in reading others negative reviews it may not be appreciated by everyone.

A lot of cute things for the kids to do. Some things have height limits so keep that in mind. There's a sign up to take photos with Santa and it gets full fast so I recommend to sign up first thing. The website also says you need to buy tickets in advance so keep that in mind. Don't forget to visit the Gingerbread House Bakery and Sweet Shoppe. They have the best baked goods and hot chocolate!

Ask the Community - SkyPark at Santa's Village

Do I need to buy an admission just to visit Santa's village in December?

Yes. SkyPark at Santa's Village is a theme park, so all guests need to purchase a Day Pass or be a Lifestyle/Monthly/Annual Passholder to enter.

Are you open the weekend of april 1-2? How much is admition?

According to their website calendar, they are open and you can get ticket information for adult, child and parking. You just have to go on the calendar and select a date and time then the website will give you all the pricing.

Thinking of going this weekend (2/17-2/19). Do you have snow play areas?

I did not see any actual areas that were marked off for actual playing in the snow. The trail I did see was closed but there wasn't much snow on the grounds either just very cold.

Hi! Are you open 1/4 & 1/5/23? If yes, what are your hours? Thanks

We are closed through January 5th, 2023 due to inclement weather. We will reopen on Friday, January 6th, 2023 at 10AM.

How much are the pictures with Santa?

When we visited in July, I just took a picture with Santa and my boys with my phone. There wasn't a charge. Christmas however....? I don't know.

If snow chains are required to go up the mountain, are there workers helping to put them on?

Is it opened on january the 28th and how far away is it form LA and big bear? Image ther any hotels near by

The Lake Arrowhead Resort is very close by, I would say about 10 min. From DTLA, no traffic about 2 hours. I'm not sure if it's open on 1/28, but I'm sure their website would have timeframes posted.

What's the difference between wonder land and sa ta shop?

Our Nostalgic Christmas in the Woods and Winter Wonderland events have different characters, entertainment, and activities.

Is the place ADA ? Is a wheelchair or electric scooter ok for the terrain, do you still pay for the entry even if this grandpa won't be using any of the activities?

Yes, SkyPark is ADA compliant. We do offer discounted tickets for seniors age 60-74 of $59 during our Santa's Village holiday season (though 1/2/2022) and seniors age 75+ receive complimentary park admission.

    Are dogs allowed?

Hello Angela, Dogs are not permitted into Santa's Village.

Can we bring in our own food snacks and water?

Other than water, outside food and beverage are not permitted inside the park.

On average how many hours would we have to spend in the park to do all the acitivities (except mountain biking)?

The average family stays between 4-6 hours. It also can vary based on when you visit as weekends are typically busier than weekdays.

Do I need to pay extra for Adventure Zipline? What does the general ticket include?

All our adventure activities, including the zipline, are included with park admission (https://skyparksantasvillage.com/activities/). Santa's Mining Co. and mountain bike rentals are the only activities that are an additional fee. Since our zipline… Read more

Because we went in February if you want snow action head across the street. There is a large area here with trees and leftover snow, there are flat areas and a small river for kids to make snowballs and play in. Spread throughout are also small hills good for short sledding with the benefit of not having to trek far back uphill over and over.

According to AllTrails the hike is called Metate Trail and is approximately 2 miles of fairly flat trails. There are many different trails that links to this so you can extend your hike and go a totally different way. Once you get to the sign you will need to explore the hill for the Rock Camp. Our kids had a blast exploring and looking for acorns to play with. There is also a small hut for the kids to explore. Further down the trail is a small creek and lots more trail to explore. We saw signs of a large herd of deer so if you are quiet you maybe in for a surprise.

I love this place because it brings everyone back to reality, letting us know that we were not the first ones here, and we will not be the last. Its a really neat little piece of history in a secluded patch of woods. The trail head is located at 34.287955, -117.212582, just walk east and you'll run into it. I'm pretty sure there is a map and sign there as well.

I'm relatively new to the realm of hiking, and really enjoyed exploring the Children's Forest this past weekend. I would definitely label this trail as a moderate hike! While there is no major climb or obstacles, the majority of the trail is uphill. Since the trail is located in Running Springs it can also great pretty chilly, so I would suggest a jacket and pants! Luckily a member of our group thought ahead and brought hand-warmers, which were the highlight of my night. Overall, this is a hike that is great for those looking to escape the city life and immerse themselves in fresh air, plus it highlights the beauty of California's forests.

There is camping and group camping spots available. There are picnic areas and informational trailheads. Safety first , remember cellphones may not work in all areas. Bring food , water, appropriate clothing per the weather. Have a first aid kit accessible for emergencies. Remember that there are animals in the forest . Bring pepper spray or bear spray to scare off most wild animals and humans ! Don't forget your Adventure pass. This can be bought at the Rangers station or Jensen's store off HWY 330 in town.

My good fortune has been that I have been his invited guest, too many times to count, over the past seventeen or eighteen years. The best part of this is that I've met and made the acquaintance of many of the members who have been absolutely as nice as can be and are gracious to a fault. The club membership, I am told, is for the sole purpose of one thing: the pursuit of furthering the hobby and past time of sailing and encouraging all of the family to participate, including the "little ones." I have also been told that those folks seeking new membership who do not sail ... are not invited to join. Sailing IS very important here. All events at the club are planned or in concert with different sailing events, races, regattas, meets and "Invitationals." The members of LAYC remind me of close knit relatives. Mingling with them at the club as a guest, I get the feeling that I'm at a family reunion; there's a lot of obvious kinsmanship, brotherly love and spirited discussions that you'd find at family events. The club's kitchen always has really good food. They serve sit-down dinners as well as buffet meals. During the racing season, there are dinner parties every Saturday night that are absolutely the bomb. Several evenings during the week, the kitchen is also open to members. The club also has a sporty, full bar with TV's to watch sporting events and, as you can expect, beer, wine and cocktails flow freely when the club is open. LAYC is open basically between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Having said that, the club has a modified opening in the beginning of Springtime and a scaled back version of the club is still open through the early fall. Come winter, however, the club closes down, completely. My pal is a past Commodore of the club and has been the chairman of the race committee for many years. Races at the club are on Saturdays and Sundays. There are approximately eight fleets (different style sail boats) that race. That means that, usually, the Race Committee [which uses a pontoon boat and sets up at different points in the lake to start and finish races], has to start and finish eight fleets of boats per race. On Saturdays, there are two races (one on Sunday). Over the years, I have helped the Race Committee, usually being a backup scorer or once in a while handling flags and/or marker and lap-count placards with the close supervision and direction from those on the committee. It is a LOT of fun. Anyone reading this that spends time at Lake Arrowhead and is into sail boats, you are NUTS if you do not join the LAYC!

I remember spending many weekends here, learning all the different types of boats, learning how to tie knots, and also the theme parties I was too young to drink at. Some of my favorite parties were the ones with nautical toys and fishing nets all over the walls. I ALSO remember a group of "older kids" in their 20's (I was 8 at the time) who told me I needed to pull down all the streamers and crepe paper. My parents weren't too happy about that. The food was great here, and there are a lot of activities for kids while the parents enjoys adult time. Crafts, movies, and boat tours were commonly available. This is a private club, so make sure you contact a member if you know one, or one of the officers. Their website is layc.net.
