Great tour! The Captain was friendly, energetic and informative. Pro tip: the boat had bench seating. Sit in the middle bench on the right hand side by the captain so you don't crane your neck.

Took this boat tour as part of a chartered coach bus tour and it was the highlight of the day. Our captain made a lot of beer references but really knew (and pointed out) who used to own which home(s) and added many personal anecdotes about casual celebrity run-ins and history in the area. The ride was pleasant and beautiful. I didn't even realize that there was no restroom aboard until I read other reviews...but there are PLENTY of them in every restaurant just adjacent to the dock. I learned a lot about the area and the history, which made the day trip definitely worthwhile.

My husband and I joined the 12:30 boat tour on a Saturday in February. The boat was pretty packed, all available seating was filled. The boat is kept in good condition, we liked the option of opening the large windows to let in the fresh air and cool breeze. A few important notes that I feel can be easily overlooked: *get there early to pick better seats, we arrived around 12:25 and only had the option on sitting on the inside because all outside seats were taken *no restrooms *the ride is 45-50 minutes, several kids 7 and under were becoming antsy about 20-30 minutes in so please consider before you book with young children

This is a really great experience. Very entertaining and knowledgeable. The captain is so funny with his commentary he makes it very enjoyable. We learned a lot of the lake houses what every one of them differentiates from the rest and what makes them unique. We also learned what famous people own lake houses in Lake Arrowhead. I wondered if the 50 mins would be cut short because I thought there workout be a lot to see and talk about but I was wrong. There's a lot to learn and like I said the captain is funny he really makes it an entertaining experience. If ever in Lake Arrowhead I highly recommend you take this boat ride.

Captain Craig (King of Dad Jokes)

My family and I had a fun one hour boat tour of Arrowhead Lake. Captain Craig was at the helm and started our tour like it was the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland. It didn't stop there... he was full of corny dad jokes (which I loved) and gave us so much history about the lake and the famous people who lived there. We also got to see the huge pinecone he passed around. Great way to spend an hour, entertaining for people of all ages. It was so relaxing that my husband fell asleep during the tour. Not wheelchair accessible but there were local staff who was more than willing to help transport my son into the boat and store his wheelchair in the nearby shop for us. Thank you!!!

Captain Craig pointed out all of the notable locations. The history of the Lake is interesting and the commentary was humorous. A very enjoyable way to see the Lake.

We had some doubts when we saw the ticket price (at this writing it's about $30 for the 1-hour tour) but there weren't that many things to do here so I went for it. It was quite fun; and I'd say it exceeded our expectations! The tour was operated by just one person, the Captain ‍. And for us it was Captain Craig, a local from Running Springs and knew a lot about the area and the history. That, plus his friendly and jovial demeanor, made the tour fun and enjoyable! My kids are usually picky but they liked it! If you come on a clear day, the scenery around the lake should be nice. Lots of great photo opportunities! The lake side near the boarding spot was beautiful with nice scenery. Ducks and fish in the lake make good entertainment for the youngsters. And there are many restaurants with lake views near by. The only thing we didn't love that much was the narrative along the tour focused too much on the rich and famous and how many extravagant properties they own around the lake; maybe you can't escape the reality, this place is another playground for the super wealthy.... But I would be more interested in the wide life, the eco environment, the ordinary people and the community around the lake. P. S. They do allow dogs on the boat - we saw quite a few on our tour.

It was great! It really went for 45-50 minutes, so take that into account when bringing young children. We brought our toddler and he had trucks, snacks, and kiddie binoculars. He loved it. There were some other littles on the boat who were donezo by 20 mins in. I'd say WORTH IT with the little kids but come prepared with snacks and toys if you want to also enjoy the ride yourself. The captain was friendly and knowledgable (showed us some celeb houses and local stars like the Trader Joe's owner) and the boat was clean enough and not too big, so it was fairly intimate.

The boat is in great condition , the tour was informative and comical. Money well spent. Duck feeding along the lake near the dock kept the kids busy while we waited to board.

Stepping aboard the Arrowhead Queen, excitement filled me as I prepared for the ride across Lake Arrowhead. I knew that I was stepping into an experience that would be VERY touristy in every sense of the word and I was right about that. Listening to stories about the extravagant history of famous celebrities, rock stars, and robber barons. The houses lining the lake's edge are as overwrought/overdone/elaborate/extreme as Hearst Castle with a lot more technological add ons here and there. Standard features in these homes are Elevators from the bottom floor (garage) all the way to the top balcony, Escalators, Escape Rooms, boat ramps and oversized boats. Lake Arrowhead is of course, an exclusive enclave, strictly controlled by the Arrowhead Lake Association, limiting access to only registered boats and individuals. For ordinary people like me, the shoreline view or a water ski lesson is about as close as you are going to get.... other than this boat ride on the Arrowhead Queen. (ps: it's funny that the owners here even allow this since everything is so controlled.) The tour's speaker regaled us with tales of the lavish lives led by wealthy residents. Names mentioned: Gene Hackman, Michelle Branch, Michael J. Fox, Ashley Tisdale, Terry Bradshaw, and Phil Mickelson... every house, of course had someone "interesting" living there and and plenty of stories of crime, grandeur and excess. Among the intriguing anecdotes, I learned about Charlie Chaplin's former house, purchased by Doris Day and she had to bulletproof the walls, windows, and doors for her own safety. The persons name (or corporation) that owns this house now... I forget the name...sorry. Such grand mansions surely hide numerous secrets, escape rooms for the privileged, elevators from the belly of the earth to the top parapet of the castle. I'm really not surprised. . . As I disembarked, I couldn't help but feel a mix of awe and reflection. The vast contrast between this world of abundance and my own life left me questioning my sense of self. Witnessing the splendor of the wealthy has stirred a complex contemplation of life's true worth and fulfillment...

I highly suggest going on this tour. It was an enjoyable and educational experience, providing interesting historical facts about Lake Arrowhead. The tour also gives you glimpses of celebrity homes and homes of wealthy elites, it's fun to dream. My kids enjoyed the tour as well. They liked looking into the water. The tour guide deserves special mention, as his friendliness and charisma added to the overall experience. I forgot his name but he has a British accent. He was very kind. Furthermore, the tour accommodates strollers/wagons with designated spaces, eliminating any concerns about where to store them during the excursion. Overall, it was a remarkably accommodating and friendly experience.

We bought some tickets for this tour and it was well worth it. Our tour was about an hour and five minutes long. It was very informative. I didn't realize the lake was that big. The captain out tour guide was very informative and entertaining. I would recommend this tour for those that have never been up here.

A must-do if visiting Lake Arrowhead for the first time! Our Captain Matt was very knowledgeable and shared so much lake history that we didn't know. It was fun to see all of the lake front properties and learn of their past and present celebrity owners. We sat on the left near the front and they were the best seats on the boat. If it's your first time at the lake I'd highly recommend you book this easy and informational one hour tour!

Ask the Community - Arrowhead Queen Tour Boat

    Do they have AAA discount?

Are dogs allowed on this tour?

I don't know. I would contact Leroys in Lake Arrowhead Village where the tickets are sold.

Is there a restroom on board?

No. It is only a 50 minute ride. There is a restroom near the pier and ticket office. In addition, there is a McDonald's nearby.

    Is it wheelchair friendly?

Not from what I could tell. The walkways in the boat were narrow and it was a little rocky as you had to step in and out of the boat from the dock.

The 90 minute Private Brew Boat ($590) which includes a captain and a deckhand, bluetooth speaker on the boat for you to play your jams, and you can bring your own brews, limited to closed canned beverages. Good times! They have a parking garage, no validation offered, but the majority of us just lyfted/ubered down for safety. Prior to the event, we were provided the waiver links to share with our team. Everyone had a change to review the waivers and sign prior. On the day of the event, they ask that everyone arrived 15 minute early, and they will be checking IDs to confirm the names of the waivers signed. We had Lily as the deckhand who was helping us for the day. After we were all checked in, we were lead into their docks and boarded the board, where we met Captain Joe. Captain Joe started off with a safety speech, and from there we were ready to party. Keep the boat fairly balanced, don't all run to one side, not too many people at the front all at once, the front is on the opposite end as the Captain. There were 10 pedaling seats and an area in the front. There was one broken pedal. This boat has a motor so the pedaling is optional but it's for funsies. One of the pedal seats were broken and not in operations. Also these bike like seats were not very comfortable. After the first hour folks got off and stood around, but they were over-it with the bike chairs. Good for groups of 12-16, but if we had a smaller group I would have prefered the standard size duffy boats. It was hard to mingle since you were essentially stuck in the seat and spread pretty far out from everyone. Still a fun time, but I just had better. Also remember to Tip. They have their venmo information up, or afterwards they send you an email asking you how your experience went, and there is an option to tip after that fact if you were unable to on the day of the event.

For this most recent long three-day weekend in Lake Arrowhead we decided to finally give this place a try. We are two adults in our 30s with no kids. It is important to note that because honestly, this place is for children 10 and under. It is not for teens or adults. It is honestly pretty underwhelming if you are an adult, but it can be quite charming if you are a child. It is also $55 per person and $15 for parking which is a bit expensive, but I understand the inflated price due to the location and having to staff it. One thing about this place that is nice is they don't have a bunch of add-ons once you get inside, so you really do just pay one price unless you decide to get food as well. The other part of this park is specifically designed for people into mountain biking. They have six different trails ranging in difficulty from easy to difficult and about half of the visitors seemed to be doing that which we would go back specifically for. The activities for adults are pretty limited, so the main ones that we did were the bike in the air that goes around the rim of the property. This is the ride that you see in all the marketing and is the most popular. It was probably the most fun we had but it was honestly a bit scary once you get to the steepest point. It's about 50 feet above the ground so it would be quite a fall down. After that, we tried some archery and ax throwing which was surprisingly fun. After that, there was honestly nothing else that we could really do given our age and size so we headed out after that. This would be a great place to visit during December with children 10 and under because they do have Santa Claus and people in costumes and what not and each of the buildings is alpine themed and is very quaint. They also have a very large area that serves as a wedding location so I'm sure that is also another part of this place. There is a large free parking lot attached in front with EV charging available as well.
