Only reason for 4 stars is that we stood there for over 5 minutes as the only customers in line without anyone acknowledging we were there. I stopped by the farmers market during a local parade and festival, hoping to grab a coffee in the morning. Upon arrival, I saw a sign that said "Be back in 10 minutes." I decided to wait, along with a few other potential customers. After some time, a number of people gave up and left. I was about to do the same when two baristas appeared--though instead of returning to serve customers, they remained focused on watching the parade. Despite the visible line and interest from customers, they showed little urgency or initiative to return to work. Given the pricing of the coffee, I expected a higher standard of service. If employees are more interested in going outside to watch the parade than serving customers, perhaps they shouldn't open at all during such events. The barista station was enticing with many selections of coffee, tea and roasted coffee beans to go. We ordered a flat white and a matcha latte. The flat white was right on-point and intense coffee but the matcha latte was very disappointing. The matcha was a bit weak and for the 8 oz size it had about 4 oz of matcha liquid tea and 4 oz of just foam. The baristas were very nice and pleasant. I tried the maple option at a level 3, and it was the perfect ratio of coffee to sweetness for me. I would highly recommended adding this to your list of stops in New Hope. Trying not to be rude, I eventually approached another employee at the register to politely ask how much longer it would be. She quickly realized my drink had been sitting unfinished on the counter. She directed the barista to complete it, and as I stood to the side texting my son's autism therapist, I overheard her falsely describing my approach to the barista, exaggerating and fabricating details to paint me in a negative light. I immediately addressed this, calmly explaining that her version of events was inaccurate. Rather than resolving the situation, she began insulting me and justifying her behavior, even after I requested to speak to a manager--only to be told she was the manager herself. Her condescending remarks escalated, and when the barista eventually handed me my drink, I chose not to accept it, explaining I wouldn't support a business that treated customers this way. Her response? "You already paid for it, so who cares." Thinking the ordeal was over, I walked away to eat with my family. But 15 minutes later, she followed me outside, approaching me and my children to continue harassing me and say " your disgusting you should be ashamed of yourself" My son's therapist, who witnessed everything, intervened to de-escalate, making it clear that this behavior was harassment. I ultimately had to call the police to file a report against her. I fully plan to follow up on this as this was clearly unprovoked harassment. My walking away to return to tend to my family should have been enough, but looking for someone in a busy market to approach them and their family to disrespect them further? how do you justify that? As a woman of color in a predominantly white establishment, this incident was not just poor customer service--it felt like a clear display of disrespect and hostility. I love supporting small businesses, but I encourage people of color to carefully consider where they spend their money. There are many businesses out there that value and respect all customers--this is not one of them. read more

Located in the Ferry Market in New Hope Pennsylvania they offer a vast selection of coffee, teas and deserts. Everything is fresh and starts out in an unprocessed state. The staff was friendly, explained their menu and you can watch your order being made step by step. They accept credit cards although there is a 5% discount for cash. Prices are fair and the cup of tea I ordered was $2.50 which is a great value considering it was not off the shelf or pre-made tea bag. They have a constant line of customers and handles it well. I love good coffee. I ordered a cortado with their homemade almond milk and a whole grain toast with avocado. Cortado was excellent and I appreciated that when I asked if I could have it in a glass for here, they said that that was the only way they serve it. The toast could have been toasted for another couple of minutes and had a little bit more avocado. I also had to add the salt and pepper myself and there was no red pepper flakes. We were walking around New Hope and it was pretty chilly, so we looked for a local coffee shop and SkyRoast came up. It's right inside the Ferry Market, a cute rustic stand. I was so excited to see they had homemade almond milk and maple syrup as a sweetener! Maple almond milk lattes are my favorite. But unfortunately, they were out of almond milk. Bummed, I decided instead to order a hot apple cider. It was lovely. Not too sweet, perfectly spicy. Cozy and hot, it warmed me while we walked alongside the river.
