This is my favorite breakfast place in the Bronx. The place is really clean and the food is always great.

Breakfast is usually pretty decent. Prices are fair and service is also pretty decent. The place tends to get busy around 10-12pm. If you place an order for pickup, they're pretty good at having it ready when you get there. Atmosphere is nice, and never messy. Much better than the other diner on the corner. read more

Nice little place in the north Bronx. Just happened to pass by, never seen the place before, stopped in for bkfst. Nothing special yet something very special. Greeted and seated right away, coffee was excellent, service was really good. The place has been opened a year and they are really trying to build something here. When I asked for a little butter on the toasted bagel thats exactly what I got, so many other places would saturate the bagel with butter dripping down the sides. Another thing I found was the pepper shaker contained a medium grind black pepper and the top wasn't clogged. Small things like that make a difference. I'll be back for a diner burger which I hear are good. The place is honest and straightforward, they have a bright future ahead. read more

Tasteless food! Don't let the nice decor fool you! Please walk 5 more yards to George's dinner in the corner! Homefrys had no taste, the side of ham given with the breakfast was DELI HAM!, chicken soup had no taste nor salt and even the chicken Cesar salad was bad! How do you mess up a salad??? It wasn't even a Cesar salad...it was half Cesar, half cob, with foul tasting olives, which gave the lettuce olive taste and the chicken was tasteless. Then when I brought this to their attention they rudely looked at me as if I was crazy and the waiter insisted that a Cesar salad comes with egg and olives! In addition he insisted a 'cob salad' doesn't contain eggs! Like really!? And you work at a dinner? LOL Bad food! Bad attitude! The service is Very slow . even if you sit at the front counter. In addition there's been multiple times where they messed up my order. Needless to say, today was my fourth and last time going there. . like today. I ordered eggs turkey bacon well-done .homefries well done . with rye toast. After about 25 minutes they bring me a sausage , eggs , home fries with regular toast. So I tell the waiter that's not what I ordered . I ordered such and such. They made me wait an additional 15 minutes. nothing was well done .( Home fries and or turkey bacon) to top it off they give me white toast again in which they had to change for the final time and it wasn't even toasted to be honest. (Warm rye bread) they suck. I should have just waited next-door at Georgie's. Skyline diner needs to step their customer service up. read more

I had been ordering from this diner for a few months, and this is the first time I'm reviewing it on here. Their "Dominican Breakfast" is good, and their patty melt is good. However, in recent weeks, I've dealt with repeated orders getting canceled on me, most recently tonight. What made it worse this evening was that I called the restaurant and explained that my delivery hadn't shown up at its scheduled time. Whoever picked up the phone lied to me and said it was on the way. I work late, so I can't afford canceled deliveries like this. The lie made it even more disrespectful. Months ago, I'd have said that their "panini" was the worst thing about the restaurant (they tried to pass off a pressed sandwich on hero bread as a panini), but this seriously has me fuming. Save your effort and find a more reliable restaurant than Skyview Diner. read more

Well their service is subpar and their food isn't as good as the diner right next to it. When I ordered my food late night sitting in the stools I saw my fried Chicken being prepared in the microwave. Furthermore, two pieces of the chicken were no bigger than my thumb. read more

All the previous reviews must've been written by the owner's relatives or something because this dinner at as far from a 5 star as the Earth is from the moon. We went there with my husband and we're so disappointed we had to return our food. He ordered chicken quesadilla. He got some chicken, lots of raw peppers and very little cheese in a tortilla that was barely warm. My "basket of fried chicken" contained a wing, a leg that was as big as the wing was so I started wondering if it's a pigeon leg and half of the beast of that same pigeon. All that was dipped in a batter that was sweet. We voted to eat that one and return the quesadilla. For dessert I wanted to try their bread pudding. Thank God my husband wanted to try it first. It was so dry it was almost similar to a toast. On top of everything it smelled like the other food that was probably kept in that same refrigerator. We decided to just pay and get the hell out of there. Never going back read more

This diner is very good! The best diner around Parkchester in my opinion. My favorite thing on the menu is the Belgian waffle with fried chicken. The waffle is so crispy and sweet and the chicken is well seasoned and very crispy - love it!!! Everything on the menu I've tried is very good. read more

I am extremely disappointed in the delivery service and options for corrections with Skyview Diner. I have ordered from them multiple times and more often than not am ordering for more than one person. Their delivery system has completely fallen off. I ordered from them on Sunday, November 6th in which I ordered breakfast items. One of the items ordered was a separate side of grits and another contained grits along with the order as a side to come with the meal. In both instances, the grits exploded out of their containers and destroyed other items within the order/bag. The delivery driver noticed and told me to check the bag. I contacted the company and they later redid the order after explaining that they were extremely busy and it would take time for the new order to come. When the order came back over an hour later, the delivery driver told me to check the bag. When I did, I showed the delivery driver how their was yet another mess up in that the order that had the grits included as one of the side items had run all over and on top of the eggs and bacon that came with it. Who wants runny, soggy, bacon and eggs?? I told him that I wouldn't contact the company again but my friend and I just decided to bear with it and try to eat our food anyway. The food here happens to be really good so I tried my luck again this past Saturday, November 12th. This time when ordering, I specified to place the grits in a separate container that would be safe for traveling and they did. Thankfully the order came out perfectly! Assuming that my luck would continue through today, I ordered again with this company. I forgot to specify to place the grits in a different container and of course ended up having a MAJOR issue when the food arrived to me (silly me to think that the company would take responsibility for their delivery mess ups and rethink their packaging for delivery without being prompted). I took my order inside only to find out that everything was destroyed. This time I was ordering for 3 people as I was entertaining guests and all of their food got messed up in delivery. The grits that were ordered were placed on top of lunch items that were ordered for other members of my party and had completely broken/burst out of the unsafe delivery container and flowed down and broken into the other containers in the bags (that were smooched and the other lid cracked). Who wants grilled cheese and french fries with grits spilled all over them? Or a cheeseburger with grits on top? Certainly not the children that were a part of the group that I ordered for! The only food item that came in a separate bag was flipped sideways and smashed against the side of the container. I ran back to my door to complain to the delivery person but the delivery person was gone. I contacted the company and spoke with a woman who when I explained the issue, gave her response of "again?!?" Obviously she remembered the same horrific event that happened the previous week when I ordered (which goes to show that without specifying to the company, they will do nothing to change the way in which the order is packaged and delivered). She placed me on the phone with whom she claimed was the manager and I then explained the situation to him in which all the food was destroyed and that I had taken pictures that I would be more than happy to show them since the delivery guy took off so fast. At first he sounded like he would remake the order but when he realized that everything got messed up, his attitude changed. His response then was that he was going to talk to the manager (ummm... I thought you were supposed to be the manager). He placed me on what felt like a 5 second hold to say that the manager suggested to do a refund as they wouldn't be able to redo the entire order under what I feel like was them not believing that the grits could have ruined my entire order. When I responded in saying that that does not do anything to help my now starving guests who were out of luck with food he had no real response but to advise me to call back to talk with the manager as well as the fact that they would reach out to groupon/seamless to refund my order. I haven't heard/seen anything from groupon/seamless to show that the company has reached out to them to initiate my full refund. (I will be reaching out to seamless to see what is going on after writing this review.) This is beyond upsetting that a company that has 5 stars in terms of the food would not take pride in their delivery system. If you're not willing to make sure that their customers are satisfied with their delivery and are not starving as a result of their mistakes - then there's no reason to do delivery's with your company. I'll be trying my luck with other company's (or making the food myself) until I feel like my faith can be restored in Skyview. read more
