Jordan answered and was extremely helpful answering all my questions and understanding of the fact that I was planning the reunion from another state. I also appreciated her thorough follow-ups ensuring that I receive the contract on time, letting me know when she was going to charge my credit card and following up with a floor plan for the event. She is obviously an experienced event manager as she had great suggestions for our event. It's a flexible venue and it's nice that you can rent tables, chairs and linens directly through them. My only hangup was the price of linen rentals which were quite expensive (coming from a wedding planner in Hawaii). I also wish they had a vendor that rented out lounge furniture. Other than that, setup and cleanup were a breeze and they were so flexible with our caterer, Pierro's Italian Bistro, who was right next door. Our reunion went off without a hitch! Everyone had a great time and was pleasantly surprised by the venue since many of them had never been to the Rainbow Room before.

A. and Josephine Poe. Mr. Poe owned Poe Brick Company. The house is on the National Register of Historic Places. The house is currently getting some much needed maintenance and painting done so make sure to check in advance if it will be open the day you want to visit. The guided tour takes about an hour. The house is a Victorian Style and built from a kit. The wrap around porch and the intricate detailing outside is impressive. The inside of the house is in great condition and has tall ceilings; wide doors and the woodwork is very impressive. It gives a glimpse into early 20th century life. The house has two staircases one for the family and another for the servants. The servants were provided living quarters. The kitchen is detached from the house as the oven was on all day. My mother purchased my wedding dress in January of 2018 from Blush Bridal. In November of that…read moreyear, my wedding was canceled and Blush Bridal agreed to try and sell my dress to someone else so my mother could receive a partial refund. It was agreed that if the dress had not been sold by the time I had returned from Afghanistan, I would come and pick up the dress. In February of 2019 while I was still deployed, I was informed that the dress was re-sold to someone else and my mother would receive a refund to her card in 10-15 business days. Long story short, after several emails and phone calls, where I was first assured the credit would appear "soon," and then altogether ignored, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in September. I received a response to my formal complaint from the business owner that, "two weeks from October first, the refund will be issued." Now, at the end of October 2019, over 8 months after my dress was sold to someone else, my mother still has not received her refund. I have had no choice but to go to the district clerk's office and file a small claim. While I hope no one ever has to cancel a wedding, please be cognizant that Blush Bridal profited off of my loss by keeping my mother's payment and selling my dress to someone else.
