They placed the order, never heard anything. Really wanted to like this business as it is local to me and I love music. Won't go to a business that clearly doesn't want mine.

We rented an alto sax and the nicest guy ever explained what my son would need. When you rent an instrument for the school year, you pay in full up front. The guy made it clear that you won't pay a penalty if it's past the May deadline because schools have end of the year concerts etc. Near the end of the year we got a card in the mail telling us if we paid for next years rental we could keep the instrument over the summer for free. We did that. Also, a rental includes a yearly "tune up". While the sax was in the shop, our son announced he needed it TODAY for school. Of course. I called the store and talked to the woman who was repairing it. "Oh I'm working on it now, I could have it for you in 20 mins." Perfect

First off, I am not sure why Yelp says I am in Burnsville, but, "whatever."…read moreI have had only one encounter with Guitar Center in Roseville and all in all it was positive. I had just been "restructured" by my employer and in lieu of some cash owed me, they gave me a gift card to either Guitar Center or Olive Garden. Duh, a no brainer. Viewing the website, in North Carolina there happened to be an Inspired By Gibson Epiphone J-200 12 string used, excellent condition. From the photo, it looked like it could be first cousin to my own Gibson J-200 I bought back in 1968. I had to have it. I immediately signed up to Guitar Center, had them order and ship the guitar to the Roseville store. It was there in a matter of days. With the gift card and some extra cash it was mine. I am not looking at any guarantee for Guitar Center. Their obligation was only to get the instrument delivered to me as shown in the photos. They performed that obligation without incident. I did ask on the way out how much for a 12 string set up. I was told right off the bat $200. Really GC, now I know where you really make your money, lol. I do buy my miscellaneous picks, strings, etc. from the local mom and pop stores but every once in a while Guitar Center will come up with a winner. The photo shows the 2021 Epiphone next to the 1968 Gibson.

After calling the lessons department, I was transferred to Ariel (the store manager). I almost feel embarrassed for how complicated the 'fixing' of the issue became, but Ariel helped me out when I needed it, and long story short I get to keep attending lessons. One of those situations where 'Someone didn't have to, but did' in a positive way and I'm appreciative. Also, I have purchased gear from here before and found excellent price points for cymbals, shells, etc. Look for sales on the export kits if you're a drummer!

If he sells it, I…read morewanted it to be to Music Go around because I firmly believe we have to support our local stores. When I sell or purchase something I frequently do it there because I know that they'll give a fair price. Whenever anyone asks me to help sell an instrument. Every time. So my friend is an older fellow and he can't get around to St. Paul easily. So I said I'd find out what Music Go Round would recommend. I made the joke that I want to buy it. 0 chance I could afford what this thing is worth. I'd like to buy a Lamborghini as well, but nobody takes me seriously when I say that either. So explain all of that. The owner's little feelings got hurt because I mentioned that I want the guitar. So he fly out refused to help me. "I don't do market appraisals." So he wouldn't hear me when I tried to explain. It was extremely disrespectful & could have been handled with a little communication. I didn't get that. So this guy is taking the ONLY positive thing about B&H stores and throwing it out the window. Why wouldn't I reach out to Sweetwater to discover something like this? That's the next move. I love the guy you have working there. I think he's in a vest. He has always been kind, cool and professional to me every conversation. It is unfortunate for him that he has to work with this owner. This will sadden me when store inevitably closes, he only has himself to blame. C'mon dude. Build a relationship with your clients. Talk to people. Care a little. You had my full allegiance to your store. But all of that is washed away. Keep people close. I love sending people to Music Go Round but now I'd be embarrassed if you decide you don't like one or my friends.

There is nothing NOT to love about Sarah Jane's! I've been taking piano lessons with Sarah for a…read morecouple of months now, and it is always low-pressure but so educational. Sarah is a patient, sweet teacher who is so talented that I doubt there's any level of pianist she can't teach. The space itself is bright and welcoming, with one big open room with a piano, in addition to several smaller rooms down the hallway. They offer lessons in voice, tons of strings (guitar, violin, mandolin, and more), brass, and pretty much every other instrument you could think of. Everyone I've met has been as gracious as Sarah, and you can tell they are all total pros. They also have a refreshing focus on kiddos, with $5 drop-in music classes a few times a week for babies as young as a few months old and lessons tailored toward the young musicians among us. Plus, you can stop and reward yourself with coffee + tasty bread treats at Aki's before or after, just because you've been such an awesome student. I'm a mom, so the time I have to practice is pretty limited. That never matters, though, because we always work on whatever I'm comfortable with. Sarah is amazing and makes me want to be able to play everything from classical to jazz to good ol' rock 'n roll. If you want a fun, engaging, relaxing music education, Sarah Jane's is definitely the way to go!
