Such a fun, horror-themed, tiki bar! Check this place out for a movie night! They show a horror movie throughout the main bar area and back room lounge area. There are big couches in the back. We had an absolute blast, laughing and quoting along with others in the bar. They have amazing tiki glassware and you get to keep the glass with your beverage purchase! They have Jason, Freddy, Chucky and more as tiki glasses. Hilarious! And, they are filled with fun, fruity, island beverages. They have great, craft beers on draft. The selection is ever changing and there is always something new and unique on tap. Love it! Will definitely be back. read more

Slasher's was a stop for a friend's going away outing. It's an ok bar. The drinks have fun names based on a horror theme. I tried the flower of vengeance (meh). I will say, I went on Friday 13th, and it was quite crowded, so I'd be willing to try it again on a slower day. read more

Can't say I have ever been to a horror bar, so the bar was low BUT, I do feel like the folks here delivered. It's advertised as a "dive/craft experience" and I cannot think of anything more fitting haha Inside they've decorated with dark foliage, skulls and black and white horror images on all of the tables. There is a large skull type mural with funky lights and they play gore movies via projector onto the back wall. All of the drinks have scary/horror names and offer really unique flavor pairings. I cannot remember what I ordered but it was the perfect fall drink with cinnamon and citrus. Best part, this bar is open year round and not just during spooky season. I absolutely think ya'll should stop in. read more

People who are easily triggered by rape scenes should absolutely tread this bar with caution. I had high hopes for Slashers. It was previously a horror-themed bar by a different name that was since shut down. A new owner bought it and renamed it Slashers and has fixed it up. When first entering, it has a dive bar kind of feeling. The tables all had horror icons on them, the drink menu was themed after different horror movies, and the tvs around were playing obscure horror movies that aren't necessarily considered "slashers". I was very pleased with the first room. Heading towards the back right of the bar is a hallway leading into what used to be an old barber shop. That is where this bar lost me. Along the walls were some cool art and an impressive collection of horror posters. Lined up in front of the walls were 3 black leather couches and 3 TVs. The room was empty when I entered and I had wondered why until I sat down and actually watched the movies playing above. 1987 Wicked City was playing on 2 screens (very graphic depiction of tentacle porn) and right in the middle screen was 1972 Last House on the Left (very graphic depiction of an endless night of rape). There were no warning signs about the explicit content in that back room, and the black leather couches, red lights, and doom-techno music added to all of the unsettling vibes of that back area. It was a very strange setup considering that the bar had been previously shut down due to the previous owner's unwelcome advances towards women. I left the bar feeling sick to my stomach (unfortunately not from the alcohol) and am not sure if I want to go back. Perhaps if the movies are different and more on the popular 80s slasher side of things like the name intends, it would be worth retrying. Or maybe even just some simple warning signs about the content of the films in that back room. The staff was kind and the front area was great! It just still had a horrific piece of history lingering in the back. read more

Great place. Solid cheap drinks - and when you want a surprise specialty the bartenders nail it!! Love the TV's with horror playing and the 7pm movies. Had a phenomenal time here until the sloppily drunk bartender/ DJ bear-hugged my friend from behind and proceeded to throw a tantrum after being called out. The ambience was killer and chill with music you wouldn't hear in any other establishment, extremely pleasant staff (save 1), and well-balanced drinks. There was one bartender on a Saturday night, waited almost 20 minutes to be served- at which point he refused to serve one of our party who turned 21 less than a week ago that we were out celebrating. He had his old ID and the temporary paper ID (since they have to mail out the IDs now) but was still refused. Will not return. read more

Very cool horror-themed bar with interesting drinks. It's small and intimate but cozy with great ambiance. They take the mixology seriously - my favorite was one with activated charcoal and beet foam. I did not make it there for one of the old horror movie showings, but I'm sure I would have had a great time. read more

But then the manager(?) informed us that we could only be served by waiting in a line that was basically nonexistent. Visited this place for my birthday. Was a good spot to check out as I love horror movies. A bit expensive.

The theme and concept of this bar is so great, it has the potential to be a super cool spot! But I have never in my life seen such HORRIBLE service. Three people behind the bar, only one of which is making drinks while the other two walk around doing absolutely nothing. But don't let the one guy "working" fool you, he is easily the slowest moving bartender I've ever seen. I waited almost 40 mins just to be acknowledged at the bar, and this repeatedly happened with each one of my friends that arrived. This man was pouring drinks in his mouth right out of the shaker like a pretentious idiot and ignoring our entire party. Really a shame because we're a group of industry people and he could have easily made a couple hundred in tips off of us if he wasn't so awful at his job. Definitely disappointing as we were super excited to try this place out, but probably won't be back. read more

Ordered 2 flower of vengeance and they only came with half the drink, bartender gave us no mixer (pineapple juice is what it's supposed to be I think) handed them to us and started helping the next customer. drinks were pretty awful obviously. I absolutely love horror movies. Not just because I'm a sicko who appreciates entrails on the screen like tinsel on a Christmas tree, but because the psychological mechanism of sublimation is an important aspect of an actualized self and a healthy outlet for coping with the world's terrors. The horror "scene" has always been full of weirdos, nihilists, film snobs, and iconoclasts. Which is why this horror-themed bar is so disappointing - from the tacky branding to the pretentious "craft cocktail pop-up" identity the whole thing seems just kinda, well... corporate. Like a theme park. It doesn't help that the staff A) all seem to hate each other, and, B) appear to have been randomly selected from the audience of an Avenged Sevenfold show. It just feels so forced and inauthentic, a counter-culture experience on guided rails that is ultimately soulless and cynical. Anyways, I'm SUPER pretentious but if you go here and have the correct amount of chromosomes I'm sure you'll agree with me. read more
