I had a very uncomfortable and embarrassing experience at Hell or High Water Tiki Bar on New Year's Eve. A bartender with short dark hair repeatedly made sexual comments toward me. Both my girlfriend and I asked him multiple times to stop, but he continued anyway. After it became clear that he wasn't going to respect our boundaries, I raised my voice (not yelling, just firm) and asked that he stop serving us and that another bartender take over due to his aggressive and inappropriate sexual behavior. Instead of addressing the situation professionally, he immediately told both of us to leave the bar. Small but well utilized space with an eclectic collection of the most random things, further outdone by Christmas decor and the Grinch inspiring a holiday cocktail menu of its own. We heard about the Samosa Shop pop-up in honor farm and purely by chance ended up upstairs at Hell or high water Tiki. The front door staff recommended we hop upstairs since we were early and it is normally packed. By the time we ordered and grabbed a table, we could see it was already filling up. Luckily Samosa king, which by the way is absolutely amazing, delivered our food up to our table, right as our tiki drinks were ready. We loved the attention to detail, the unique flavors, the irreverent cocktail names, and just reading through the menu was entertaining. There's not a ton of space, so I wouldn't come here with a large group, but it was perfect for 2 to 4 people per table. We scanned the QR code to see the special drinks menu. The drinks ranged from from about $17 to $45 each. There is a Mandatory 22% gratuity added to every bill no matter what. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are two bartenders making all the drinks. One is half naked with no shirt on and in dingy overalls. We all got up and said thank you we will find another Xmas themed bar that actually has service. This bar sits upstairs from another bar which can make it a bit challenging to find but worth it to seek out. There is very limited capacity so if you don't have a reservation it might take a while to get in (depending on the night) but it is the right amount of different to make the wait worth it. So we visited what we thought was Hell or High Water back in March of this year. We later found out we were actually in Honor Farm and that HOHW was in the back and upstairs. Fast forward to Thanksgiving week. We were back in town to see family and decided to check out the "real" HOHW. We walked upstairs and were promptly yelled at because we missed the "please wait to be seated" sign. We take full responsibility for missing the sign. Then from the other side of the room we hear, "HEY! YOU CAN'T JUST WALK IN!" shouted at us. The entire bar was briefly staring at us and we were in shock and embarrassed. There were so many other ways that could've been handled. He then offered to put our name down and we said "No thanks" and left. We tried to grab a drink at the Honor Farm bar downstairs. It was crowded but by no means full. My wife stood at the bar for 10 minutes without a single acknowledgement despite one of the bartenders working right in front of her. The only good part about this establishment was the door guy. He collected money from us on the way in because there was a drag show happening. He gave it back to us when we left 15 minutes after going in. HOHW looked cool and maybe the drinks are good. We'll probably never know because I don't think we'll ever get this incident out of our brains. There are too many other places to go in downtown Denver. On a related note, Electric Cure (I think it's their sister bar) is fantastic. Small place but great service and drinks. Visited there in 2024 which is where we first heard about HOHW. read more

We were in town for a baseball game and we love tiki so had to try. We got there right at open and it quickly filled. This is inside another bar, upstairs in a loft area. They've done a great job with cute decorations and ideas. The cocktails are a little on the bitter side for tiki, not as well balanced as normal. They over due it on the fire and made us a little worried we may catch fire. It was so hot our fingers felt like they lost hair from the flames. This bar is located in the Honor Farm bar. It is located in the back corner, up the stairs. It is a small spot and is a tiki bar loosely. It is dimly lit and has colorful Christmas lights all around the bar. The bar has a small dining area and a couple of swings, yes swings, to sit on. They have some interesting decor that I suggest you check out closely. They have some savory drinks on their menu, many of which are named after a male genitalia. I found it hard to ask for some of them by name, but the bartender knew what I was talking about. It was as if the drinks were named by a 14 year old boy and his buds. The bar staff were friendly, but one thing I did not like is that they charged a 22% tip without letting me know. I almost tipped another 20%, being that the place was very dimly lit. If it was not for my light on my phone, I may have paid a lot extra. You can use a QR code that is on your table to order food. As I mentioned, they have a wide range of savory tropical drinks. They also have some beers. You place your order with the bartender at the bar and then they bring it to you at your table. Some of the drinks that I ordered that I can mention include the Yaba Daba Doo Me, and the Passion of the Christ. They were very delicious and I really enjoyed them.
