Needed a specific glass made for an outdoor table that previously broke when moving and I found slater glass in Arcadia. I previously did have an issue with Cindy, but then Vivian ended up emailing me and followed up with what I needed. I ended up going to the company with my table for measurements and Vivian took care of me and helped me all the way through. My glass on my table looks great! I see the negative reviews are related to Cindy and the Customer Service provided by Slater Glass. Cindy must be related somehow because otherwise there would be no reason to keep such a person as your main conduit with the public. She is highly disagreeable and has been very unpleasant to deal with (on multiple occasions). The last time I spoke with her she said "Let me TELL YOU how this is going to be." Not exactly what you want in Customer Service. Slater will promise the world...like measuring digitally to ensure the exact fit of a bathroom mirror in an old house with uneven walls. In actuality, they used a tape measure and when the mirror was short on several sides put black tape (unevenly) around the wall to mask the unevenness. The mirror is now adhered with mastic and nothing can be done. If you want a very high standard of quality...this might not be your place. read more

I called Slater Glass & Mirror to get a quote and Cindy calls me back telling me that because I'm about 30 min drive (about 15 miles) from her that whatever bid she provides would be more expensive, like $200 more, due to the extra drive time. She told me because I am that far, she said for me to measure the windows at my house myself and for me to tell her the locations of the windows and then she will give me a quote based on my measurements and the info I provide. I find this absolutely ridiculous. Every other window contractor I called was willing to come out (even those who are farther from me than a 30 min drive) to measure my windows to give me a quote. I rely on window professionals to provide the right measurements. I am by no means a window expert and hence I'm calling for YOUR services?! This call from Cindy was astonishingly stupid from Slater Glass & Mirror and I definitely won't be using their services obviously. read more

Worked with Cindy at Slater Glass and Mirror and I only have positive things to say about my experience. Product - semi frameless, custom shower door. Extremely happy with the door, makes our older shower look much more up to date. Service - excellent service from Cindy. She was friendly and honest. Speaking to her on the phone was always pleasant, you can tell that she really wants the best for all customers. In addition, scheduling for the measurements and install was easy and timely. They called when they said they would and showed up when they said they would. Installation was done very well and the gentlemen even helped clean the tiles before installing. I requested their services at a very busy time but she was upfront about how busy they were but she said she'd do her best to get our project going. I called around to get some glass cut for a broken window and nobody answered the phone or they said they were not sure when the glass cutter would be in. Finally I called Slater, I gave them the dimensions and they said come on in it will be ready when you arrive. I found the place, picked up my glass and the sold me some putty and they gave me enough pins to set my window. The glass fit perfectly. I will only get glass from Slater. I had a burglary situation and had 2 broken glasses on 2 doors. I called around and could not find anyone that could help. Fortunately, I found Slater. They game me an estimate on the phone after I measured the windows. Then they came over the next day to do a detail measure. Two more days of wait later, such that they can get the tempered glass replacement of my windows, and they came to fixed the Windows. The final bill was slightly cheaper than the original estimate. My dog decided to get ferocious and try to eat the gardner's leaf blower. In the process, he busted out one of my living room windows. I called Slater's on a whim to get someone to repair, they called me back first thing the next morning and set up an appointment around my work schedule to get the repair done. Let's make it simple. A couple week ago, I had problem with the bathroom mirror with black grey spots. I called a couple places and no one were willing to come out for service. I called Slater. Cindy was so.... helpful gave an estimated over the phone then immediately sent Ivan to come out for the accurate measurement.
