Gave 3 stars giving them the benefit of the doubt that the actual work was done properly, but I can't be certain because the work was completed today and I don't know anything about windows to decipher the quality of it. But for safe practices & clean up I would give 2 stars... (maybe still being generous). Yes, they let me know that I would need to move any furniture out of the way &/they would cover the beds with a blanket BUT by the time I decided what to do, the worker was already chipping away at the broken glass windows. How am I supposed to move a king size bed within a minute? And though I did move my child's bed, it still got glass on it. Now, both my bed and my 5Y child's bed still have shards of glass including our floors, window sills & who knows where else in addition to debris. It's not tons, but some pieces big enough to be concerning & cut our foot on &/scrape our face. I also intentionally folded up the blanket they used to "prevent" such a mess myself to ensure the shards would stay encased inside, only to witness it being shaken out on our sidewalk-front yard where our dog, kid & neighborhood dogs play and pass often. Would strongly advise: 1. Let your customers know further in advance what prep is required especially if you don't intend to do a thorough clean up job afterwards 2. Hired these guys to replace a a double-paned panel on the top of a bay window. After two tries, they got the replacement installed -- but my kitchen turned into an oven. While 90 degrees outside, the inside of the new window was reading about 110 degrees on the inside. I called and asked about whether the new window had argon gas or another insulator, and they wouldn't give me a straight answer. They offered to refund me the cost of the glass, but not labor. The first red flag was this business was a "sponsored result" of my search for a window pane replacement company. I hadn't noticed that at first; all I saw was the high number of five-star reviews. When I called and left my info, the receptionist asked me to call the day prior to our appointment to "remind" them. Huh? That's like calling my doctor to remind him of my surgery the next day. Red flag number two. The third red flag is the "24/7" in their name when their business hours as shown on Yelp don't reflect that. The fourth red flag was the number of no-show complaints I saw in their one-star reviews. Red flag number five was their website. It offers no information whatsoever and seemingly leads you to at least one other company with a completely different name. Despite calling AND texting to remind them the day before my appointment, my calls went to voicemail and my text reminder went unanswered. Needless to say, no one showed up at the appointed time, which was 10:00 to 11:00 that Monday morning. When no one came, I called again and got no answer. I texted and told them if no one arrived by noon, I was going to go with another company. Still no answer. I finally got the receptionist on the phone that afternoon. She gave me some excuse about an emergency and the technician not having his phone or something. Really? She said she thought she texted me back, but perhaps the message went to the wrong person. She said, "How about tomorrow?" So I can be stood up twice? Absolutely not. The receptionist apologized, but so what? Someone should have called and told me the repair person wasn't coming. I have old, single-pane windows. A grid of 30 rectangular panels on steel interior frame and exterior molded window putty from god knows what year. Unfortunately, puppy zoomies zoomed all the way through glass, go figure. Toro's pics show windows just like mine so I was hopeful! I also noticed their response time was averaging 3 hours. I received a response and follow-up questions within hours. They came the next morning and got it done in 2 hours. Axel, a young man who seems to be assisting and shadowing, was very courteous, professional, and attentive. He communicated all the steps and even remembered that I needed to leave at a certain time. Manuel was the installer. He was meticulous and worked quickly and carefully. He communicated in Spanish to Axel different post-care steps I needed to consider. I was surprised to learn that window putty could take up to a year to totally harden. Their boss, Juan, was out of town, but everyone seems to be under great leadership and the company is clearly honest, hard working, and trustworthy.
